Dear Mr. Jones:

The Washington Post had 19 reporters covering the April 20th pro-Palestinian demonstration in Washington. None of them reported that the main organizer of this event, Brian Becker, is a hard-core Marxist affiliated with the Workers World Party. Your readers might have been interested in knowing that in 1997, Becker attended a conference in Cuba sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba. It was titled “Socialism Toward the 21st Century.

In addition to overlooking the Communist backing of this demonstration, the Post’s coverage also ignored the role of many radical Muslims, some of whom have allegedly been linked to terrorist groups and causes. The master of ceremonies at the Washington Monument, Mahdi Bray, is the political adviser to an organization whose officials have supported Hamas and Hizbollah, organizations that have sponsored terrorist attacks. The Post should have given its readers this kind of information.
