Accuracy in Media

WASHINGTON, May 4, 2011 – Following continued investigation and grassroots outreach, Accuracy in Media has verified the cable giant’s opposition to granting Al-Jazeera English carriage in the United States.

“This is just one more victory for Americans this week,” Director of the Center for Investigative Journalism Cliff Kincaid said. “Correspondence with the Comcast Vice President for Content Acquisition, David Jensen, confirmed that no deals were on the table to carry the terror-friendly network. Accuracy in Media will continue to monitor, educate and, when necessary, remind cable and satellite companies of the threat that Al-Jazeera represents.”
