What Does $1 Trillion Look Like?

By K. Daniel Glover  |  March 5, 2009

A trillion here, a trillion there — what’s money? That’s the impression you may get when you hear politicians and bureaucrats talk. Now for a little perspective  from PageTutor:

Each pallet is $100 million, and they are double-stacked. The red-and-blue speck on the left is a man. Every taxpayer is an even tinier speck in the Big Government scheme of things.

The image is even more powerful when seen in contrast to $10,000, $1 million, $100 million and $1 billion. Get the full effect here.

I don’t think government truly appreciate the effect of a trillion dollars, which 9.4 trillion have been spent since the financial crisis, in terms of banks bailout, stimulus spending, and increase in government obligations.

Wow, we are just a speck in the whole greater part of things are we not, I have to agree with comment above any government doesn’t really appreciate money and they seem to just waste it at any opportunity.
