The rape and sexual assault charges were dropped against two defendants, one of whom is an illegal immigrant. The case drew national attention at the time and an uproar over the alleged rape, which White House spokesman Sean Spicer used to defend tough immigration policies.

The prosecutors declined to charge the two individuals with rape, stating that there was not beating or any evidence of a rape taking place. But, if the illegal immigrant is charged with possession of child pornography, he could be deported.
