Accuracy in Media

The violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia were fueled by the liberal media coverage of the protests, said Accuracy in Media’s Donald Irvine. In a recent interview, Mr. Irvine pointed out how protesters arrived in droves in the city and were there to cause trouble, due to media crews being in town to cover the protests:

“Giving all this attention to these guys only encourages them even more,” said Don Irvine, chairman of Accuracy in Media, a conservative watchdog group.

According to Irvine, the focus on the activities of these extreme groups is far out of proportion to the level of influence they actually have in the conservative movement. They thrive on the press coverage and the anger of liberal counter-protesters.

“You give them this spotlight, they’re going to take advantage of it,” he said.

Maybe Hollywood screenwriters and directors gave “… them this spotlight.” The Charlottesville brouhaha could have been a made-for-media, anti-Trump set-up. All it really needed was a Spielberg Jaws -style soundtrack.

Eastern Virginia is part of the D.C. swamp, and Virginia Gov. Terry “McAwful” is sleazy and a former DNC chairman, a good friend of the wacko Clintons, and a master of political dirty tricks. Of course, we also know that DNC officials spew lies every time they open their mouths — Donna Brazile and Debbie Wasserman being just the latest examples.
