CNN host Poppy Harlow pointed out the inconsistency and hypocrisy of the Clinton camp over some Clinton allies’ outrage over President Donald Trump’s recent comments on North Korea. President Trump said that if North Korea continued its threats, it will be met with “fire and fury” from the United States.
One of Harlow’s guests, former Clinton campaign aide Adrienne Elrod, blasted President Trump’s rhetoric as too aggressive and hard-line. However, Harlow repeated a quote from then-President Bill Clinton on North Korea, “It is pointless for North Korea to try to develop nuclear weapons because if they ever use them it would be the end of their country.’”
All Elrod could say in response was that times change and in 2017, the threat of a nuclear North Korea is greater than Bill Clinton’s remarks in 1993.
