Accuracy in Media

The liberal media failed to recognize that athletes have skipped meeting the sitting U.S. President after winning a league title, especially after at least six New England Patriots players announced they will not attend the White House after winning this year’s Super Bowl title game.

Although six is the largest number in recent memory to skip the White House visit, other players have skipped meeting Barack Obama, notably Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas and then-Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Matt Birk. Thomas issued a statement referring to his rights as a citizen and his concerns about the government, while Birk’s Catholic beliefs on life versus abortion conflicted with Obama’s past praise of abortions by Planned Parenthood.

It’s not breaking news that athletes skip meeting Donald Trump, since at least two athletes skipped meeting Barack Obama.

Who really cares? I gave up on professional athletes playing a kids game at an overinflated salary and ego.

Of course, Tim Thomas was excoriated in the media for dissing Obama. No words of sympathy for him. (I don’t know about the other guy, I’ve never heard of him).

  • Just a bid of alphabetical fudging and “Patriots” become “traitors”.
