Accuracy in Media

CPAC, the annual Conservative Political Action Conference begins in Washington on Thursday, February 9th.  AIM will be honoring two distinguished journalists, and an American hero who has volunteered for AIM for 15 years.

The winner of the Reed Irvine Award for Grassroots Journalism is Dana Loesch, the Editor-in-Chief of Big Journalism, and the winner of the Reed Irvine Award for Investigative Journalism is Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News. The American hero is Capt. Charles Rozier (USN Ret.), who is receiving a lifetime achievement award for his service to his country and to AIM. Charlie, as we know him around here, participated in D-Day, Iwo Jima and Okinawa during World War II, and was captain of the ship that surfaced a nuclear armed submarine during the Cuban missile crisis.

The event has received a lot of attention lately in the media in places such as The Washington Post, Politico and Big Journalism. You can learn more about the honorees in the program for tomorrow’s event.
