In late September, Accuracy in Media assembled 16 speakers to discuss issues and points of view that AIM believes the media have ignored or misreported. The one that got the most attention was Pat Caddell, whose speech went viral when he stated that the media had become “the enemy of the American people.” He was referring to the media’s failure to address the terrorist act in Libya that took the life of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others, and the Obama administration’s lies and deceptions concerning what they had or had not done to ensure their safety. Caddell’s speech was quickly picked up by the Fox News website the New York Post, and numerous other news sites and blogs. Rush Limbaugh mentioned Accuracy in Media by name, and played clips of the speech.
