WASHINGTON — Twitter, which wanted to avoid the same fate as Facebook, looks like it’ll repeat the social media rival’s faltering IPO (initial public offering). However, it looks like the micromessaging platform will perform worse than Facebook did with their IPO.

twitterReuters reported that Twitter has struggled to inject enthusiasm among Wall Street investors as it struggles on mobile devices and online.

The sustainability of their operating model is a major concern for investors, which has led to Twitter mimicking Facebook’s profile page, allowing photos to have more priority in Twitter’s timelines, and even mimics Pinterest’s “pin” option, among several improvements.

Twitter has struggled with a high rate of inactive users, raising money for their IPO, and has not boosted their IPO value past a relatively modest $11 billion.
