WASHINGTON — In one of the latest head-scratching remarks from U.S. President Barack Obama, he endorse his vice president Joe Biden as a good successor to his own presidency.

biden-rect-460x307Reuters said that these remarks came from an interview with the magazine The New Yorker in its July 28 issue.

Obama quickly turned the discussion to whether Hillary Clinton, his former Secretary of State and 2008 Democratic Primary foe, could endure another presidential campaign in 2016.

He told the New Yorker that Biden “has seen the job up close, he knows what the job entails. He understands how to separate what’s really important from what’s less important. I think he’s got great people skills. He enjoys politics, and he’s got important relationships up on the Hill (in Congress) that would serve him well.”

Hillary Clinton is sixty-six years old and Joe Biden is seventy-one, which has largely been ignored by the mainstream media.
