WASHINGTON — Max Baucus, the Montana Democratic U.S. Senator who famous called ObamaCare a “train wreck“, will now be the U.S. ambassador to China.
Reuters reported that Baucus, who was going to retire at the end of his term, was approved by his Senate colleagues as the newest ambassador to the Communist Chinese.
The vote was unanimous, by a count of 96-0.
He had served as the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and now will take his experience in finance, tax and trade policy to deal with the Chinese government. Baucus had served in the Senate since 1978.
