Reed Irvine Accuracy in Media Awards


The 2010 Reed Irvine Accuracy in Media Awards will be held on Thursday, February 18, as an AIM-sponsored event during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, DC. Andrew Breitbart and Marc Morano will be honored for their reporting on ACORN and ClimateGate.

Honorees: Andrew Breitbart of Big Government, for investigative reporting on ACORN
                     Marc Morano of ClimateDepot.com, for reporting the ClimateGate scandal

Who: Open to AIM members, the press and the public

The Reed Irvine Award was established in 2005 to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of journalism in the tradition of AIM founder Reed Irvine by independently covering and reporting on news that was misreported or ignored by the mainstream press. Awards will be given in the categories of Investigative Journalism and Grassroots Journalism.
