W.H. Adviser Labels GOP Extremists

By Don  |  November 1, 2009

The White House pointed to Dede Scozzafava's decision to suspend her congressional campaign as an example of GOP extremism

From the Politico

White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that the rise of a Conservative Party challenger in a closely watched upstate New York House election shows that the Republican Party leadership is “becoming more and more extreme, and more and more marginalized.”

“It’s rather telling when the Republican Party forces out a moderate Republican and it says, I think, a great deal about where the Republican Party leadership is right now,” Jarrett said when asked about the GOP candidates’ decision to suspend her campaign, making it more likely the Conservative will win Tuesday’s special election.

On other issues, Jarrett told host George Stephanopoulos that she sees “a great deal of momentum … on heath care,” and said the White House does not view the decision of Abdullah Abdullah, Afghanistan’s leading opposition candidate, to withdraw from a Nov. 7 runoff.

Asked what the New York development shows about the Republican Party leadership, Jarrett said: “I think it’s becoming more and more extreme, and more and more marginalized. Look at the number of people who actually say that they’re registered, consider themselves a Republican. And if that’s the direction they want to go, fine. What we’re going to do is what we’ve always done. And that is, we’re going to reach out.

“We’re going to try to include as many people to be a part of our governing process — being open, being transparent,” Jarrett continued. “And we’ll let the American people decide. And right now what you see is a great deal of momentum moving forward, for example, on health care. The American people want change. They don’t want the same old health-care system that’s not affordable, that doesn’t offer coverage to everybody, that keeps escalating in cost. And what we’ve seen from the Republicans is, really, a desire to have the status quo. And, George, that’s not acceptable anymore.”

If only that were true.  The American public voiced their concerns in August about the Democrats health care plan but based on Jarret's remarks she obviously wasn't listening.

Screw valerie jarret she is a hater of all things america.  It will be fun to see her reaction when the extremist wins!  Especially since conservatives are told to stay out of new york.  In a side note, to the article by cliff kincaid about will fox fire gingrich, i thought the question was a joke.  Weve all seen what fixed news is about the last couple years.  No way will they let gingrich go.  He’ll be appearing twice a week on hannity and on greta and oreilly.  Same goes for karl rove and mike huckabee and michael steele.  There all hacks.  Conservatives have many great speakers and intellectuals who post at verious websites, you never see them on fox news do you?  We get daily doeses of the tired and used up karl rove and newt gingrich.  I saw gingrich actually was on obamas guest list that he released on friday. haha.  I don’t see how people respect fox news.  I’ve never understood how so many people can be such suckers.  Its a shame!

Obama said to judge him by the people who surround him. OK, I’m game. Let’s see; marxists, communists, Mao lovers, anti capitalists, Daley flunkies, terrorists, socialists, racists, fascists. I could go on but you get the point.

You know I grew up during the real communist threat. I was always taught to respect the constitution and all it stands for mostly freedom of the speech. We read Carl Marx and Thomas Paine when I went to school in the seventies and eighties. The first steps in a Marxist revolution is to take your religion, destroy free speech, disarm the populus and then force public dependancy on the goverment. Believe what you want brothers and sisters we are pilgrims in an unholy land. Jarrett is a communist of the most unapologetic type.
