Spitzer is far more gregarious and extroverted than is Parker … which is probably why Parker is a writer rather than “a TV pundit”. She also appears to be a conservative who, rightfully, tends towards civility, rather than confrontation and controversy … which seems to be the preferred diet of most of the other conservative TV personalities.
Spitzer does appear to purposely insert himself into the middle of whatever sentence Parker seems to be trying to get out. Combining a “show-off” with a “milquetoast” is not a workable formula for a talking heads show … e.g. … Colmes and Hannity … O’Reilly and anybody … etc.
