Million Woman March for Hillary Planned

By Don  |  June 14, 2008

Supporters still steamed at Hillary Clinton's loss to Barack Obama are now organizing a Million Woman March for Hillary at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.   Called the Million Woman March Rise Hillary Rise the website for the march features a poem by Maya Angelou that reads

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

Sounds like a direct slap at Obama to me, particularly the line about the bitter twisted lies.  So much for reconciliation.

The mission according the website is" to organize Hillary Clinton supporters and anyone else who wishes to march at the Democratic Convention in August in support of Senator Clinton and Women's Rights worldwide."

This could turn out to be quite a media event, one that the DNC I am sure would rather not have take place during the Obama coronation.

Yeah - but make that 20 Million more for McCain, who’s at least an American like Hillary - maybe Obama can call on his Marxist friends from his Frank Marshall Davis days back in Hawaii? Dang, jist cain’t depends on doze Commies, eh?

The REAL women won’t be marching in any Democrat parade.  They’ll do well to attract 2000.

I think you’re wrong, this has the feelings of something that is taking place in the hearts of millions of women. Right or wrong, like her or not, Hillary Clinton has been badly mistreated by the party that she has given her all for.  I’d love to see a “draft Hillary” at the convention.  She’s not dead yet!  The Democrats derided Bush’s win in 2000 because Gore got the popular vote; Hillary won the popular vote in the primaries, yet not one Democrat is saying what they said about Bush’s 2000 win.

Suffer not demise
Until you are in the White House
fight with all your might
the goal is still in sight.

These whining Hillary supporters would do well to see how the supporters of other losing candidates have done - Suck it up and support your party’s winning nominee.  Just because she’s a woman doesn’t make her any more “entitled” to the job than any man who lost the nomination.

Don’t the schools teach kids how to be good losers any more?  Oh, yeah, I forgot - They’re all run by the liberal NEA, and most of life’s lessons are lost on young people these days.

Hillary promised the New York voters who re-elected her to serve in the U.S. Senate for another six years that she would serve out her term.  It’s time for her to make good on her promise.

These “whining Hillary supporters” represent a very large number of not only women but men also, all of whom are not necessarily whining because of the gender issue, but because of the kind of person Obama represents.  Or are you pulling for Obama to represent what could be a winning ticket and all the disaster that represents.  I am a conservative Republican and will vote for McCain, but if the worst should happen, I would happily hold my nose and be glad Hillary was elected President rather than the horror of seeing Obama elected.

Instead of “beating a dead horse” by continuing to support Hillary, those conservative Republicans would be voting for John McCain and doing what they can to see him beat Obama.  Hillary has already been knocked out of the race and is not a threat.  It’s down to two contenders now, the Marxist Obama or the somewhat liberal Republican McCain.

Message from the Founding Office of the Million Woman March (TM) 6/20/2008

For those that do not know, The 1997 historic Million Woman March was and is about and for the upliftment and empowerment of women and girls of African descent, worldwide.

It is almost ironic that someone would try to use the name of the largest gathering in the world of any women anywhere as a tool, and name, to try to escalate a political agenda (and person) that does not reflect the specific interest of the MWM platform, mission, etc.

Given the fact that the name (MWM) is also trade marked it is strongly suggested that another names be used for your campaign project.

Please know that as the Founding and National offices of the original and official Million Woman March, we do not endorse this program nor provide permission for the use of the name in any way, shape, fashion, or form

Thank you

National MWM

Dear Founders of MWM,

As you may have seen, we have indeed changed our name, and did so as soon as we learned of your group’s historic actions and your continued efforts using that name.

Many of our supporters were indeed involved in your actions. We do wish you might have emailed us directly with your concerns at an earler date so we might have been able to respond to you directly. We are already organized in 20 states nationwide in just a few short weeks, and are getting more members each and every day.

We encourage all women, and men, to join in our efforts.

Thanks for your support,
RiseHillaryRise
