WTOP political analyst Mark Plotkin calls for a media rebellion in the White House press corps.
From Fishbowl DC
Yesterday morning, on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, WTOP's Mark Plotkin ripped the President and press secretary Robert Gibbs for calling on their "front row favorites," saying that "all the press people sit there as mannequins" to ask "questions of the day and never ask any surprising questions."
He goes on to say that Gibbs only calls on the TV people who are enablers in allowing President Obama to dictate the topic of the day."
For those that have watched any of the daily White House press briefings what Plotkin said should come as no surprise. The White House controls the agenda and doesn't want anything to upset their agenda so they keep the press in check and they willingly comply in return for access.

EVERYTHING is scripted.
NOTHING occurs spontaneously or independent of “the script”.
Everything seems to be getting like “American Idol” and “Dancing With The Stars”; a sham.

Looks like the programming and conditioning of these once “serious” journalists has worked to a tee.
