Your last line is a typical liberal response to a complaint about government intrusion into our lives.

I do not have a choice, I must fly due to my job. I have flown over a million miles in the last 10 years.

In addition, I must monitor my exposure to radiation and I must avoid it as much as possible. I had radiation treatments for cancer and, at the time, those treatments were considered safe. But recent studies have shown that those treatments used more radiation than was necessary and I ended up with heart problems and other ailments. How does the government know that the levels used by the machines will not cause damage that may not show up for years?

And, I do not remember giving up my 4th amendment rights in order to fly.

It is time for the government to stop treating the general public like criminals and to start looking for the true criminals. If you are willing to sign over your rights that is one thing, but do not expect me to give up mine.

The patdowns and scanners are both over the top. We need to PROFILE, and kick the TSA out. But no, the government is once again taking over and unionizing. Not one person should be subjected to a pat-down by some pervert. A bunch of TSA worker should not be able to pat-down women’s breasts etc. What next? I hear they have rectum scanners over in the UK! And these Body scanners are more dangerous than the Feds admit, even more so for kids. Oh and you have got to love that certain people are exempt from the pat-downs and scanners. No, there is a better way. For God’s sake, the Mythbusters man went through the scanners with 12-inch razor blades, but at least his private parts were touched.

Swing and a miss. The point is not about choosing to fly or not fly. The point is the direct threat on liberty by the federal government in the form of TSA. I hope the fourth amendment still means something. (Oh, by the way, other forms of public transportation may soon enjoy similar gawk-and-grope intrusions in the very near future. How will the ‘choice’ argument work then?)

I firmly believe we can have sufficient security AND more appropriate security measures. Doesn’t it strike you as ironic that those who imposed the TSA debacle are mostly not subject to the rules? “We the people” must push back.

what a sad day, when one of the last conservative leaning webnewzers has gone to the left/progressive side. What ever happened to the 1st, 4th and 5th Amendments? No, people make a choice to fly, but when your appeasement to big, intrusive government starts using these machines at Court houses, Malls, Sports events ect…will you still stand by as the Constitution turns to dust?

Aside from those who are comfortably misled by the mainstream, biased and censored media, everyone knows exactly who it is that is bringing down our planes, attempting to blow up Time Square and Christmas Tree lighting ceremonies, etc. Start profiling the group of people who are behind every one of these attempted murders and stop harassing innocent TRUE Americans. The government, Hollywood, and liberal media won’t utter truth but dance around facts and the obvious trying to be politically correct and not offend “anyone”. What they are actually doing is offending and inconveniencing everyone but the group of people who are causing the problem. If you are a rancher and it is known that 98% of the cattle deaths are from cougars are you going to stop and check out every turtle, chipmunk, kitten, sheep or are you going to focus on the known and nearly 100% threat which is cougars? I have no interest in flying but my mother flies and I have a serious issue with some stranger(s) scanning her and seeing nude images of her or groping her private parts. My mother is about as American and nonthreatening as a person can be and doesn’t deserve that. Save that crap for the group of people WE KNOW are committing the crimes and leave our mothers, daughters, and sisters with their dignity.

To PB #1 I agree with your 1st line about their last line. What the libs do not know ,or,will not admit if they did ,is that screening & pervert groping are coming to trains & busses,at least at the larger stations & depots,,,also to large sporting events.

To Liz #2 If the TSA does unionize,,I hope that it is not the SEIU or even the Teamsters,,I hope it is a not so ‘thug’ & ‘goon’ group that is already working at many airports,,The Transport Workers Union. Not because I am a life member,,I’m retired & inactive,,it is because I’ve never heard of them sending a GOON SQUAD out to your house like OBAMA’s friends in the SEIU & others have done. They (TWU) do NOT stoop that low. I DO agree that NO ONE should be EXEMPT from pat downs,,ESPECIALLY muslims.
