Heee’s Back! Al Gore Compares Climate Skeptics to 1960s Civil Rights Racists

Former Vice President Al Gore, who has been largely absent from the global warming debate in the last few years, reemerged recently to attack what he calls “climate change deniers” by comparing them to racists during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
Gore was interviewed by Alex Bogusky of The Climate Reality Project, which is dedicated to “bringing the facts about the climate crisis into the mainstream,” and was founded by Gore.
Gore: I remember, again going back to my early years in the South when the Civil Rights Revolution was unfolding. There—there were two things that really made an impression on me. My generation watched Bull Connor turning the hose on the Civil Rights demonstrators and we went, “Whoa! How gross and evil is that?” and my generation asked older people, “Explain to me again why it’s okay to discriminate against people because their skin color is different?” And when they couldn’t really answer that question with integrity, the change really started. Secondly, back to this phrase “win the conversation,” there came a time when friends or people you worked with or people you were in clubs with—you’re much younger than me so you didn’t really go through this personally, but—there came a time when racist comments would come up in the course of the conversation and in years past they would just—you know—it would just—(waves away with hand)—natural—there came a time when people said, “Hey man, why do you talk that way? I mean, that—that’s wrong. I don’t go—I don’t go for that, so don’t talk that way around me. I just don’t believe that.” That happened in millions of conversations and slowly the conversation was won, and we still have racism—God knows—but it’s so different now and so much better. And we have to win the conversation on climate. In some quarters, it has become almost politically incorrect to use the word.
So now that the “science” behind global warming, or climate change as it is now more commonly referred to, has more holes in it than Swiss cheese, Gore is now turning to playing the race card in an attempt to discredit global warming skeptics.
This effort to play the race card is likely to backfire on Gore, as Civil Rights activists tire of seeing their cause being hijacked and distorted to suit the political whims of global warming proponents. It has been tried with the Tea Party and failed and will fail again with Gore’s latest effort.
Even the mainstream media, which would love nothing better than to attack global warming skeptics, hasn’t bit on Gore’s comparison and probably won’t since it’s so ridiculous. Even the unabashed liberal Keith Olbermann, who works for Gore’s Current TV, hasn’t picked up on this yet which should tell Al he is grasping at straws.

Climate Change is here and it is no longer a question. Republican factory owners killed your family and friends in the current catastrophic blizzards, floods, tornadoes, massive wildfires and other climate change that has been wiping out the bible-belt. This is the Climate Change that their factories created. This is the Climate Change that the Republicans lie about not existing. This is the Climate Change that they program their constituents to deny exists. This is the Climate Change that killed people, destroyed homes, and further destroyed the economy that the Republican factories emissions caused so they could make profits by killing those people. Republicans deny Climate Change at all costs in order to keep their factories from having to pay to stop it. The Climate Change that is destroying massive sections of our country can no longer be hidden or denied. The issue of Climate Change is TOTALLY ONLY about Republican factories which cause Climate Change getting charged to put filters on their factories. In the face of a staggering volume of FACTS proving that Climate Change is here, Republicans train their sheep-like followers to deny it always and to never read any of the facts. Every “scientist” that has denied climate change has been proven to be either a Republican or an oil company consultant.
I suppose the Democrat owned factories do not pollute. I suppose Al Gore does not pollute. The EPA has so much control over who does what it is a government in and of itself. It is apparent that the libs pushing hardest for the climate change action use an excessive amount of energy. I recall that former presidential candidate John Kerry, who served his country in Vietnam, was driving gas guzzling SUV. When criticized for doing songs claimed he was not doing what was alleged because the vehicle belonged to his wife.
Merilee`s claim that “Republican” factory owners are wholly to blame for pollution is not literally true, Democrats and communists are also involved. However Merliee’s charge reflects the historic fact that the GOP is always in the forefront of those who do their utmost to defend pirate enterprise against the interests of the population at large. This is indisputable.
The volcano in Iceland with the 8-mile long name that I cannot pronounce, that erupted last year. Remember that? The one that grounded Trans-Altlantic flights, and shut down commerce between the U.S. and the U.K. for almost 2 weeks?
Climatologists have PROVEN that THAT VOLCANO with the ash, sediment, heat, and other “factors” that came out from it, ECLIPSED 500 YEARS of so-called “human pollution”.
What they said was that if human beings, on our natural course of our “destruction of the planet”, would have to do what we’ve done, the last 100 years, FOR ANOTHER 600 YEARS, to equal what that volcano did in ONE WEEK.

I have no doubt in my mind that it is top priority that humans care for the planet, but at the same time, I don’t believe climate change is imminent. As Merilee so kindly insinuated, I am not a republican suppressing change, but a democrat promoting proper education. I feel that there is far too much propaganda today, and not enough raw data for the public to assess whether global warming is real, and if it is, if it is really influenced by humans. There are tons of contradictions in the theory — mind you, climate change is still only a theory — that make it very hard to believe.
For Gore to call anyone who seeks truth and who doesn’t follow the rest of the flock the equivalent of racists is absurd. I don’t think anyone will ever understand my passionate hatred for Gore and his disguised ignorance.
I’m sorry, when did it become settled fact that the opponents of the Civil Rights Acts were wrong? What did Bull Connor predict about black-run or black-dominated governments? Between Connor and RFK, whose prediction about Detroit’s future do you suppose was closer to the truth? Hell, many Leftists won’t admit that Gary, IN, or Camden, NJ, are third-world sh*t-holes today. That lying gas-bag, Hubert Humphrey, swore on the Senate floor that if the CRA mandated hiring quotas, he’d eat the Act himself. I just hope they serve it up to him for lunch every day in Hell. Leftists hate science, because they hate reality (with which their stated [not actual] core dogmas are 180 degrees off course). Gore Jr disagreed with his daddy about race, and the fact is, his dad was proved correct, and Junior is a hopeless, bithering fool. Global Warming is just icing on the cake of idiocy.
