Former vice-president Al Gore held off on making an endorsement for president, but said that the nomination race will be over before delegates head to Denver this summer.
Appearing Tuesday on National Public Radio’s “Fresh Air,” the former vice president held out the possibility of making an endorsement in the race — but predicted that superdelegates will tip the race to either Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., or Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-NY, before the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August.
“Even though it has gone on much longer than is normal in the age of primaries and caucuses, nevertheless I think the odds are overwhelming that it will tip rather decisively in one way or the other before the convention even meets,” Gore told NPR.
It seems unlikely that either Hillary or Obama will concede this race, but with Gore there is mounting pressure to put an end to this fight so that the Democrats can focus on McCain.

Given the Democrats have changed the way Primaries are done, it’s no surprise Howard Dean scheduled primaries in Florida and Michigan knowing they were heavily for Hillary, and knowing they would not count, but they rely on Delegate counts and Super Delegates to go against the will of the voters.
Republicans still have it right, you win the state primary, you will the state.
Under Democrats, a candidate can win the popular vote, and not the delegates, and if the DNC does not think the candidate can win, the Super Delegates can choose who they think can beat a Republican.
I am sorry, but that is cheating the voters of America, thank God I am a Republican.
