I completely disagree with Mr. Gibbs. You have to first remember that each and every candidate that has been identified as or associated with the Tea Party are first and foremost…. a Republican, running on the Republican ticket.
So, even if voters perceive there are three parties, Republican candidates, in reality, have a two out of three ‘chance’ of being elected in November.
From analytical or political perspectives, I believe the Obama Administration really has no choice but to claim they have an advantage as they have in the media, when in reality, voter confidence and disagreement with current policies is vividly evident in every poll that has been taken, and more importantly, in the vast majority of primary elections just held this week.
In short, the stance taken by Mr. Gibbs and the White House is truthfully a desperation move. It’s like straightening out the deck chairs on the Titanic… without purpose, ineffective and futile.
The only real question waiting to be answered is how many current democratic politicians will choose to distance themselves from the Obama Administration and policies, come election time?
