Even though the 2010 elections are more than a year away the GOP is seeing hopeful signs that they can reverse some of the losses of the past two election cycles.
From the Politico
Democrats giddy with possibilities only six months ago now confront a perilous 2010 landscape signaled by troublesome signs of President Barack Obama’s political mortality, the plunging popularity of many governors and rising disquiet among many vulnerable House Democrats.
The issue advantage has shifted as well, with Democrats facing the brunt of criticism about the pace of stimulus package spending, anxiety over rising unemployment rates and widespread uneasiness over the twin pillars of Obama’s legislative agenda: his cap-and-trade approach to climate change and the emerging health care bill.
Bolstered by historical trends that work in the GOP’s favor — midterm elections are typically hostile to the party in power — and the prospect of the first election in a decade without former President George W. Bush either on the ballot or in office, Republicans find themselves on the offensive for the first time since 2004.
None of this is to say that the Democratic congressional majorities are in serious jeopardy. The GOP has suffered some significant setbacks, ranging from headline-grabbing personal indiscretions to Sen. Arlen Specter’s party switch, and it continues to be plagued by an inability to present its own new ideas.
Yet the possibilities GOP officials now imagine are a dramatic shift from the bleak prospects that the 2010 midterm elections presented for the party at the beginning of the year.
Back then, the newly elected president was fresh off a sweeping victory and riding a wave of inaugural goodwill. The Republican Party’s standing had seemingly hit rock bottom in the polls. The enormous Democratic House majority looked unassailable, and the party’s advantage in the Senate looked nearly as formidable, with the GOP forced to defend more Senate seats in total in 2010 than Democrats — a predicament exacerbated by a handful of Republican retirements in key battleground states.
“There’s a sense building among Republicans that 2010 is going to be a far better political environment than 2008 or 2006,” said GOP pollster Whit Ayres. “Part of that is because we have a Democratic president and a Democratic-controlled Senate and House that are promoting fiscally dangerous policies for the future of the country. Part of it is we don’t have the burden of Iraq as we did in 2006 and don’t have the economy on the Republicans’ watch as we had in 2008.”
With some 15 months before the election the GOP's hopes are pinned to both a slow economic recovery and continued infighting within the Democrat party on Obama's agenda. If the economy does recover and the Dems heal their rifts then the GOp will be looking at far slimmer gains than they could achieve if the election were held today.

If the economy has made a significant upward move - and if unemployment is clearly going down a year from now - the DEMs will retain much, if not all, of the favor they experienced in the last election.

But wait…stop and think. Obama-Care will now pass after huge cuts made to satisfy the Blue Dog democrats in the House. After weeks of attempting to get them on-board, all the private meetings in the Basement of the House Chambers, last night they had Obama tell them they would allow a Private Care system to be made available. So today’s vote count show a very possible passage of the Bill.
But, and a big but it is, without the populace staying private, Obama-Care is now $455 Million short. Something which was not told to the B.D. Dems was the tax to be levied on Private Insurance Companies, not to mention the cost per person would be more, since there would be less people paying for Good Health Care. Obama has left the Opt Out provision in his plan, once you are in the system, you will no have the ability to leave the sub-par system Obama has put in place.
“Breaking news as I have come back to this subject…Today’s Gallup poll shows 73% of all Americans are happy with their current coverage (Poll consists of 50% Registered Republicans, 50% of Registered Democrats). The second part of the poll shows 63% say Obama-Care will make Health Care worse, with 30% says No change at all, or slightly better.)”
Then there is Cap and Trade, which 9 out of 10 of people on the street of New York thinks it has something to do with Wall Street, the deception is in the name of the Bill. Most uninformed everyday democrats have no idea what it means to them personally. It will become to be known as the largest tax hike in this countries history. The Tax will come mainly in the form of Utilities.
There was strong public reaction to this statement last week by John Conyers when asked will the Houses read the Bills before being put on the floor for a vote, which will be used in Internet commercials, and played on television before the Mid-Term elections. He said, and quoted:
“Regarding members wanting Bills read by House Members and Senate, he said “I love these members who get up here and say, “Read the Bill, Read the Bill”. What good is it to read a thousand pages, and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you have read the Bill.” This after Democrats wanted reading the Bills completely and mandatory when and if Republicans held the House.” The MSM has yet to show this video, nor a transcript printed.
What happened to Obama’s promise he would post every Bill on the White House web site for no less than five days before it would come to the floor for a vote?
“Trust not what one is told by the Government until you can see the results.”
Thomas Paine - 1776

Re; Post 3;
Your Thomas Paine quote:
“...Trust not what one is told by the Government until you can see the results…”
Duuuuhhh! How can we “see the results” of ObamaCare and Cap and Trade UNLESS WE FIRST PASS THE BILLS AND PUT THE PROGRAMS INTO ACTION?
You finally post a sensible sentence - but it’s somebody else’s sentence! (I’ll just make believe the idea came from Wesley Pain rather than Thomas Paine.)
P.S.
Your statement:
“...What happened to Obama’s promise he would post every Bill on the White House web site for no less than five days before it would come to the floor for a vote?...”
Thus far - since you’re a “linkiac” - I’ve given you at least 8 or 10 URLs where you can follow the progress of BOTH bills you’re obsessive about - IN REAL TIME - in their entirety - and with the ability to follow their progress, step-by-step, through the House, the Senate, and all relevant committees.
Stop peddling falsities.

Post 5:
Did you even bother to read Conyer’s comment?
It does appear you have a real problem understanding what other people write, then call them names, that is your only defense. Obama PROMISED the Bills would be posted on the “White House” web site, and only on the White House site…another promise broken, still mis-leading the people.

Re: Post 5;
EVERY damned bill appears, in real time, with up-to-the-day changes, modifications, amendments, progress, votes, etc., on BOTH the House and Senate websites.
What the hell’s the difference on what website they’re posted? They’re POSTED. Period.
Grow up!

Post 6:
I have yet to see any ObamaCare 1,100 page Heath Care bills on the W.H. site, nor on he House or Senate sites, no details what so ever. Talk to me when you get your G.E.D. and learn the truth, Boy!
Got to go for now…

Re: Post 7;
You know, I really never had the experience directly, but in my imagination, I think dealing with you here is probably like dealing with a developmentally-challenged child.
And in spite of all your free time - and your claim that you dutifully “research” everything - and your supposed familiarity with “researching online” - you really do not seem very adept at getting to even readily-available information online.
(Is that the REAL reason why you continuously rag on me for not showing you “proof” that Bush 43 pumped up the national debt by $6 trillion - becasue you can’t find it yourself? In fact, it took 191 years (1791-1982) to get the national debt to the FIRST trillion - and then only 26 years (1982-2008) to accumulate the next TEN TRILLION! And Bush 43 ran up the majority of that debt faster than nearly all of his predecessors combined.)
Anyway, as I TOLD YOU, the entire 1,018 page original version of the House’s health care bill is on the http://www.house.gov website. Use the following URL to get your very own pdf:
http://docs.house.gov/edlabor/AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf
If the link doesn’t work from here - just go to http://www.docs.house.gov and locate it there on your own!
Jheeeshh!
Anyway - ta ta!

Re: Post 7;
P.S.
Your statement:
“...Talk to me when you get your G.E.D. and learn the truth, Boy!...”
First of all - you embarrass yourself over-and-over-and-over-and-over. But, second, doesn’t all that shooting yourself in the foot (and, I would imagine, by the magnitude of it all, in BOTH feet) HURT?
You MIGHT know something from personal experience about a G.E.D. - but you sure don’t know nuttin’ about “learning the truth”!
(Sometimes the chuckles you generate here with your sillinesses turn into outright and almost uncontrollable laughter!)
Good Luck with those foot wounds!

I have seen the link and the OLD Bill, where are the ones which were MARKED UP for the first two votes, which were stopped by the Democrats themselves?
There is no need to remind me of how much time I have on my hands; you have no idea how cognizant of that than me. I have likely forgotten more than most will ever know, and trust me when I say; I am nowhere near the person you see writing every day. I am not used to debating with people in print, in the real world, I could insult someone with conversation so they could not tell they were being insulted (which was only used on people who deserved it when they were picking on someone who were indefensible), I could fire a person and make them think I was doing them a favor, using nothing more than transactional analysis, such as budget cuts i.e. layoffs (which was something I always hated). I have an innate ability to read people, their eyes, facial expressions, the hands, the way they would react when confronted or during an interview.
The people I hired I knew I could trust and do the job, in return they had my trust, but it was usually earned. If anyone screwed up, they gained my admiration by openly telling the truth and not putting blame on others…I preferred reason, as opposed to excuses. One thing which would impress me the most was a hard worker who had the concept of Common Sense, to be able to think on their feet and be able to act. My goal was to move my employees up the ladder, I knew Managers who would keep very good people from advancing, afraid to lose them.
I love hard work, but I knew I would eventually have to work in a suit and tie, but always kept coveralls and work boots in my office. The heavier the workload and/or the jobs. The more the
the better…
All my employees were treated very well, when you show people how much they are appreciated, they will do anything for you. I was able to double our output, by training going to the source of the jobs; I showed them how to stage multiple jobs by creating staging areas, work slips were attached to each job, so anyone could tell their customers exactly when the jobs would ship.
Doing due diligence when we would purchase companies, wrote legal contracts for new customers, making it easier for our legal department’s work load easier.
Working in the Sahara, where there were not any roads, all the Libyan Government allowed us were compasses, no two way radios in the vehicles, they were confiscated in Customs to send to their Armies and Desert Militias. There were times when Militia members would take your vehicles if given the chance. So you got used to getting shot at, there were times when there was no way out, and had to give them up. But if you kept yourself calm, you knew to leave markers if you could not stay where you were. Often a search would not be called right away, due to the fact it took time to get to your location. I taught survival techniques to everyone, and taught how to do searches for missing people. Our trucks carried two spare tires, due to the 140 degree heat, the silica sand would often over inflate your tires, and they would explode. Most would not even last a month over there.
I could go on and on, but there is really no way to explain what is like out there, you have to be there and learn to conquer your fears.
Everything you did, whether in the Desert or working jobs, it all boils down to one thing…Common Sense, without that, you would not last long; you must learn to think fast.
That is what is missing in both houses, these people know nothing about common sense, and one must stop and think about consequences to the people before blindly rushing into things without real thought about impact.
There are few if any politicians I truly trust…if any.
Your problem is you cannot take what you dish out, didn’t think so…
BTW - If you want to have a battle of wits, you are half way there.

The politco is a joke. Why does accuracy in media always site from it? I’ve heard from many different people who know what theyre talking about that the republicans can pick up eighty seats. A lot of the freshmen democrats are in conservative districts. They voted with obama eighty seven percent of the time. They’ll be gone! The senate is a different story not enough up for re election although the numbers show chris dodd is in trouble haha.

Also in trouble in the Senate is Arlen Specter, Harry Reid, all in all there are 18 Democratic senators up for re-election in 2010. I would not count on a Super Majority, Obama has lost most Independents who put many democrats in office.

Speaking of Arlen Specter, this little video from a Town Hall to support ObamaCare:
On Friday July31, 2009 at a Town Hall in Pennsylvania with Arlen Specter and Kathleen Sebelius, a woman stood up holding a document, as she asked the two…”As I look at this Health Care plan, I see nothing about Health or Care. What I see is a bureaucratic nightmare, Senator. Medicaid is broke, Medicare is broke, Social Security is broke, and you want us to believe that a Government who cannot run “Cash for Clunkers” program is going to run One Fifth of our of our US Economy, No Sir…No!” She voted for Obama.
This plan (Cash for Clunkers) was meant to run for four months, in four days it was bankrupt, now they are asking for another $2 Billion Dollars, which has already passed Congress…What has happened is, many greedy people have bought automobiles from Police Auctions of confiscated auto’s and buying junked cars from people who could not get enough for a trade in, but kept the car, are using them on the Cash for Clunkers program. They are even doing this on cars and trucks which are up to 20 years old, which no dealership would give them barley anything for an auto that old.
The National Insurance Industry hired a private independent unbiased firm to investigate several random States on Vehicle Inspections. They found by using Minorities in their investigation that 61% more minorities were being passed on sub-par automobiles, whereas Caucasians were not being passed until required work has been done. They took 50 Caucasians, 50 Blacks, and 50 Latinos who all volunteered in these States. Some of the findings were, most minorities would receive free Brake Lights, free Turn Signal lights, free running lights, tires without enough tread, horns which did not work, and so on…Everyone was intentionally given the same problems. Only 1.5% of Caucasians who did pass with sub-par autos, were all young 18 year old pretty white girls, wearing mini-skirts.
If GM gave me a free automobile, I would sell it for cash or trade it in for a Ford, who did not take a bailout. Hell, for the first time in my life, I may even opt for a foreign car over GM.
I just do not do crooked, even when allowed.

Re: Post 10;
Good for you. (???)
(You can tell the violinists they can stop playing now.)
Your soliloquy:
“...I am not used to debating with people in print, in the real world, I could insult someone with conversation so they could not tell they were being insulted (which was only used on people who deserved it when they were picking on someone who were indefensible), I could fire a person and make them think I was doing them a favor, using nothing more than transactional analysis, such as budget cuts i.e. layoffs (which was something I always hated). I have an innate ability to read people, their eyes, facial expressions, the hands, the way they would react when confronted or during an interview…”
Well, then, take some writing (and insulting?) classes in all that free time.
(Now you can also tell the horn section that they, too, can stop playing. And, hopefully, you won’t hurt yourself doing all that patting of your own back!)
Geez.

Re: Article - [Even though the 2010 elections are more than a year away the GOP is seeing hopeful signs that they can reverse some of the losses of the past two election cycles.]
The Republicans are counting on taking some 2010 seats by default as some sort of repudiation of Obama and the Democrats, as they did in 1994 in repudiating Clinton and the Dems. They may be in for a big surprise if they don’t clean up their act because enough Republican voters are on to them now, as opposed to the 1994 elections.
An excerpt from the latest article from columnist Devvy Kidd addresses this -
[“I called my house member last week and asked if the useless, constitutionally challenged, Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), would vote for another $2 BILLION dollars for this insanity. The young man I spoke with said no. I explained to him none of this is legal. His response was, and I’m paraphrasing: Well, it may be a blessing in disguise for 2010 to help the Republicans retake Congress. I said good bye and gently hung up the phone.
From the time the Republicans took control of Congress (January 1995- November 2006), they outspent the Democrats previous forty years of stealing us blind. Not a single unconstitutional cabinet was eliminated. They didn’t lift a finger to get us out of the communist UN, stop the rape of we the people by stopping all illegal payments to the World Bank, BIS, foreign central banks and foreign aid. Not a single step was taken to get us out of these unconstitutional, destructive trade treaties which have killed off MILLIONS of good paying jobs: NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO. The young man in Neugebauer’s office is a product of brain washing. His brain has been washed of common sense and solid facts in favor of blind loyalty to his political party.”]

Re: My post #15
The 2 billion dollar ‘insanity’ she was referring to was the “Cash for Clunkers” program.

Post 15:
“From the time the Republicans took control of Congress (January 1995- November 2006), they outspent the Democrats previous forty years of stealing us blind.”
Are those numbers adjusted for inflation?
On the other hand, what the Democrats have spent since 2006 till today is way more than the numbers you quote.
Meanwhile, we have Canada and the U.K. begging us to stop making the same mistake they made.
That is why I have told TK that one cannot depend on the House and Senate versions of the bill on their sites, I have seen the newest markup, from a US.Gov site, and it is not on the House or Senate sites.
Of course Obama is smart to offer both Private and Single payer programs, that is exactly what the U.K. did and theirs ended up socialist anyway. It has now been tried in two States, Hawaii and Massachusetts and has yet to work as they wanted, and are indeed owing money to their Health Care systems.
We do not need anyone between ourselves and Doctors, we do not need some additional to offer us advice on “End of life scenario’s” at age 70 plus years of age.
Post 14:
I should have never mentioned Thesauruses to you, I see that you have been using them online now. ROFLMAO
Mark my words, these are things which will negatively effect everyone, even you…and will come to regret it, and I can say that without being a sarcastic jacka$$.

Re: Post 17;
More of your babbling.
Your statement:
“...We do not need anyone between ourselves and Doctors…”
EVERY HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY ALREADY HAS SOMEONE “between ourselves and doctors”.
Be it a “gatekeeper” or “claims representative” or “adjuster” or whatever you choose to call those people who “approve” (or disapprove) payment for the medical services used by the insured. And - don’t forget “the fine print” - which is often the most significant impediment standing between doctor and patient.
From what I’ve seen over the last 20 years, HMO-type health care plans have been the worst in this regard - but the anecdotal stories of people being screwed by their health insurers refusal to pay, regardless of type of plan, are legion - and the vast majority of people filing for bankruptcy due to inability to pay medical bills ACTUALLY HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE - that didn’t pay.
Don’t make simple-minded and misleading declarations.
(And I have no idea what your incomprehensible comment about a “thesaurus” is supposed to mean.)

Post 18:
“Don’t make simple-minded and misleading declarations.”
I do not, what is simple mindedness and misleading are your “Assumptions without fact”.
Why is it you are always so defensive, but I think you know.
“(And I have no idea what your incomprehensible comment about a “thesaurus” is supposed to mean.)”
I think you do know, and will not admit to doing just what I said.

Re: Post 19;
I’m definitely not “defensive”, Wesley.
I am often “offended” by some of your outlandish posts and become “offensive” in criticizing them - because they deserve it!
You make many simple-minded and misleading declarations - and you often descend to posting purely inciteful and hateful propaganda. I get insulted - and obviously, offended - by such drivel - and respond accordingly.
(And, see, once again - you make your post about ME instead of responding to my criticism of one of your egregious declarations.)

Give it a rest you two exchange emails would you stop making a mockery of the comments section. Your totally off topic its pathetic.

It went off post on Post #4, just as with any article, search the threads where I have posted, in EVERY instance TK attacks me personally, and almost always gets everyone off topic.
I have complained about another poster who used to do the same thing, but used several User IDs. Since I donate to AIM twice a year to keep this site online. When this person caused posting to stop, I phoned AIM and complained about this person with many names, one was Brian R. Sullivan, who was also, lauren, laurens daughter, and so on…After discussion, AIM kicked him off in violation of the rules, and all was fine, till TK started doing the same kind of off-topic posting.
I dare you to look at back posts, and look and if TK and I are in there, you will see who too us off topic.
Which I often remind him during the threads. Although this one is not as blatant as the others.

Re: Post 21;
I have stated to “Wesley In Dallas” on several occasions: If he gives it up - so will I.
However, he has nothing better to do all day - and, in fact, constantly dickering and bickering with me is apparently what keeps him going.
And, he likes to say “go back and look at the posts”. Well, do so! And you’ll find Wesley NEVER responds to nor defends a specific criticism I’ve made of something he posted - he just launches into some kind of “attack the messenger” garbage - and it degenerates from there - endlessly - because he simply insists on having the last word - however simple-minded and unoriginal his last word might be.
And, when that fails, he invariably descends into crying and whining, as he’s doing here in Post 22.
And, PLEASE, do read Wesley’s posts. You’ll see that many are incomprehensible or nearly so, or have no point whatsoever, or, very often, have NOTHING to do with the article that’s kicking off the thread. In cases where I’ve criticized something in his post - NOT ONCE has he defended his statement in his post; rather, he starts babbling about something completely irrelevant or attacking me - ANYTHING to evade having to respond to the specific criticism of his post.
In this thread, for example, (in my Post 18) I criticized his statement that “we don’t need anyone between us and out doctors” (from his Post 17) and included several details and examples illustrating MY point about his statement. In his following two posts (Posts 19 and 22) - he completely EVADES responding to my criticism of his STATEMENT - and he launches into nothing but bitching about me. Note also that HE brought up a n assumed complaint about Obama’s health care plan - when the actual subject of this thread is the potential for GOPs to pick up votes for the mid-term elections in 2010.
Also notice my original post (Post 2) and that it was a comment on the ECONOMY and was DIRECTLY related to the article above (and to Post 1). THEN - notice Post 3 - a rambling post on ObamaCare, Cap and Trade and whether proposed congressional bills are actually ever posted online as Obama allegedly promised.
Then, YOU DECIDE who initially went off topic and began the dickering and bickering.

All anyone really needs to do is a search on TK, you will find all the BS, including Post 23 which is a lie.
The old turn it around trick, I thought you were a Liberal, you just proved it to everyone.

Re: Post 24;
Will there ever be a time when say something that actually makes sense?
(And Post 23 is a “lie”? Are you blind, too? Follow the instructions - then defend your statement!)

Wesley - (re: post #17) - “Are those numbers adjusted for inflation?”
I checked a couple of ‘debt sites’ to verify the columnist’s claim and here’s what I found. As far as whether inflation was taken in consideration, I don’t know. I would assume that their numbers did reflect inflation adjustments since people rely on them for reference. Nevertheless, check out the sites and determine that for yourself.
According to http://www.swivel.com/graphs/spreadsheet/5543118 -
In Jan. 1955 US Nat’l Debt was 280 Billion when Democrats take over congress.
(I used above website since other site below doesn’t go back as far as 1955)
According to http://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/NPGateway -
Jan. 1995 (Republicans take over Congress) US Nat’l Debt was 4.7 Trillion
[So, National Debt increased by 4.4 Trillion under Democrat-controlled congress between 1955 and 1995.]
Jan. 2007 (Republicans lose Majority) US Nat’l Debt was 8.6 Trillion
[So, National Debt increased by 3.9 Trillion under Republican-controlled congress between 1995 and 2007.]
Finally, on Aug. 4, 2009, US Nat’l Debt is 11.6 Trillion
[So, National Debt increased by 3 Trillion ..so far, under Democrat-controlled congress.]
As it turns out, the Republican majority didn’t quite outspend the Dems, however, those numbers, to me Wes, are nothing to be proud of. It reflects a far-cry from their smaller government/less spending rhetoric over the years, and unless they start becoming fiscally conservative, I’m not sure if the Republicans are going to see a reenactment of 1994 in the 2010 elections.
As far as the Usurper’s health care bill which you also mentioned - I’m dead set against it, just as I was dead set against Bush’s massive Medicare prescription drug program.

Re: Post 26;
The issue (and my point) here wasn’t whether the DEMs or the GOPs contributed more to the national debt.
(And keep in mind that while any particular congress may pass a budget - any president at that same time can also “Veto” that budget - sending it back to, let’s say, “be reduced”. Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43 COULD HAVE VETOED budgets approved by DEM congresses - and one might also research how individual congressional GOPs actually voted on budgetary issues under the three presidents listed here.)
MY POINT was that GOPs are at best disingenuous and, at worst, hypocritical, when claiming THEY are the “party of fiscal conservatism” and that DEMs are the party of “spend, spend, spend”.
And, in reality, Reagan almost TRIPLED the national debt during his administration by drastically and purposely expanding the military budget - and granting broad tax breaks - WITHOUT making other concomitant CUTS in the budget.
Bush 43 doubled the national debt during his administration (with six years of a GOP majority in Congress) - by granting the same broad tax breaks as Reagan did - while also conducting expensive wars on two fronts - and significantly expanding government with the Homeland Security Department - WITHOUT making ANY concomitant budget cuts along the way.
History shows that GOPs spend as much as DEMs - and the only difference is what all the spending is for.

TK - re #27
I wasn’t addressing anything you said in any previous post you made in this thread. I was simply replying to Wesley’s #17 question concerning the latest Devvy Kidd article that I brought up in my post #15.

Re: Post 28;
Well, good for you.
Then just make believe I didn’t begin my post with “Re: Post 26”. (You’re good at “make believe”, aren’t you?)

Post 26:
Neo-conned,
As for your statement “As far as the Usurper’s health care bill which you also mentioned - I’m dead set against it, just as I was dead set against Bush’s massive Medicare prescription drug program.”
I could not agree more, however, it I must have stated this in another thread, but I was a Democrat until after JFK. LBJ’s escalation of the war in Vietnam at a time when Kennedy wanted them out, I thought was unbecoming of a VP taking over for a fallen man. Johnson should have at least preserved his legacy.
As for the numbers during my time as a Republican, give me some time to look at those, I have a post or two to answer…and helping my son before his wedding less than a week from now.
Wes

Can we agree to disagree on the fact that TK will keep going until he/she gets the last word?

Post 15:
Reading about Devvy Kidd, she seems to be more of a Libertarian than anything else. I have always been against NAFTA and CAFTA, but I do not see it as an issue that can just be deleted without consequences, especially with China. I see those bills (especially since Clinton rushed into this, as poorly put together, no oversight, no balanced trade restrictions, no restrictions on companies moving out of the USA.
Newly declassified documents show that President Bill Clinton personally approved the transfer to China of advanced space technology that can be used for nuclear combat.
Clinton told the US can Congress these “Chips” are for Weather Satellites, which are actually targeting systems, and for missile guidance. I consider this to be an act of treason.
It is not clear this information was known to future Administrations, since it has been newly declassified, we may never know.
The documents show that in 1996 Clinton approved the export of radiation hardened chip sets to China. The specialized chips are necessary for fighting a nuclear war.
“Waivers may be granted upon a national interest determination,” states a Commerce Department document titled “U.S. Sanctions on China.”
“The President has approved a series of satellite related waivers in recent months, most recently in November, 1996 for export of radiation hardened chip sets for a Chinese meteorological satellite,” noted the Commerce Department documents.
Who really knows to what extent of what and protections were granted for NAFTA, much of the communications were between China and Clinton during his visits to the Communist State. There is no doubt is was not good for the United States without the above mentioned lack of any restrictions. We do not know if Bush could have done anything at all, or if he did have the power to stop it from continuing. If he did have control over NAFTA and failed to act, on one or two nations where the trade was acceptable. The deal could have to have been negated if possible. I am for balanced trade, but not for what NAFTA accomplished.
I do know that if NAFTA was eliminated, it would have killed all trade with any country. But, if Bush could have killed NAFTA and kept the trade he needed, and did not, then there is no excuse for Bush not acting upon the deal, but to the chagrin of losing trade altogether.
These special computer chips are designed to function while being bombarded by intense radiation. Radiation hardened chips are considered critical for atomic warfare and are required by advanced nuclear tipped missiles.
Now that Obama is in office, he has intentionally used NAFTA, CAFTA, and the WTO, to allow businesses, if not encouraging them to move off shore, to help him gain control over the US industry, to allow for Unions to control more and more of future business.
But one does have to question Clinton’s motives for passing the Bill. Many of those documents are still sealed, until they are unsealed, we will not know much else, and we cannot know what Clinton discussed with China, since they did not allow ANY press during their meetings.

The Obama White House is angry that the Congressional Democrats (who went home last Friday), are holding Town Halls, most all of them are being inundated with disgruntled Citizens, they are comprised of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.
But to hear the MSM and the White House are telling the media that these people are all Republicans, and that they are being bussed in…that the whole thing was orchestrated by the RNC.
When you have poll numbers by all polling, 78% to 80% are happy with their current Health Care, and thinks the Government has no business getting into changing something they like. Sure Obama is telling everyone that Private Health Care will not change. If ObamaCare passes, the insurance companies will have to increase the cost to companies and customers, as a result of this country cannot sustain two separate Health Care systems. Eventually (and Obama knows this) the Companies will opt for the cheapest Health Care, which will be his, and the Private insurance companies will be forced to close since they will be have the ability to keep up with free heath care.
>>(Call it what you will, but when you put the cards on the table, you will see the lie.)<<
Article title: Call For Informants: If You Oppose Obamacare, Even in ‘Casual Conversation,’ the White House Wants to Know About It
“If you see anybody publicly opposing President Obama’s plan to implement a government-centric overhaul of the health care system, the White House wants you to report that person (or persons) ASAP.
From the White House website:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
>>(I am not going to post the web site, it is an invasion of Privacy.)<<
Emphasis added. Of course, as we’ve seen in the health care debate to date, the term “disinformation” is used by the Obama White House as a catchall to describe any opposition to the President’s push for single-payer, government-run health care — meaning the White House wants to be informed of any forwarded emails or blog posts or any “casual conversations” that could be taken as opposition to their health care overhaul plan.
The White House has, as yet, offered no explanation of what it is they plan to do with the tips on policy opposition they hope to receive from citizen informers.
Interestingly, as Jake Tapper pointed out on Twitter this morning, the title of that post on the White House is a quote from John Adams’ 1770 “Argument in Defense of the Soldiers in the Boston Massacre Trials.”
Tell me we have not reached a new low in this Country.

Though I must admit, Wesley did just get the last word on himself.

Post 34:
RIslander,
On your Post #31, I fully agree with your statement.
On Post #34:
Not exactly sure what you mean.

Wesley…
Thank you ! Got your message ! Why am I not surprised that the hockey puck would do such a thing. (The school yard bully cannot handle what he dishes out to others.) I guess there is absolutely no hope for that mentally disturbed liberal. Anyway, continuing to read YOUR most informative postings, as well as some of the other voices of reason who post here. <smile>

Hi Diane,
Welcome back, I had to do a name search to find you again, I have posted in so many threads, I could not remember where I last saw you after out favorite post was closed.
Re: My post #33: I find it amusing that the Liberals and the White House call Democrat protests, “The people rightly voicing their opinions, it is their right to oppose anything Republican.” But when the shoe is on the other foot, it’s planned and meant to disrupt the process. They always buss people in their protests, in all my years I have never seen or heard anything as ridiculous as spying on dissenters, and refuse to admit there are as many Democrats as their are Republicans, and once again we have the media covering for him.
What happened to freedom of speech without fear of reprisals, the Framers are rolling over in their graves.
As with any elected president, I would have given Obama a fair shake had he stuck to his campaign promises, instead he is bankrupting the country. It is one thing to Loan Companies money to help them out, but completely different when you force them to take TARP and Stimulus so the Government can own private business. I never expected to see a new Saul Alinsky.

Re: Post 31;
The “last word”?
Only with a couple of specific posters here - and only because I either totally disagree with some of the purely ideological and outlandishly extremist (and oft-times false) stuff they continuously post - or - because THEY started up with unnecessary name-calling, labeling and the attack-the-messenger thing.

Re: Post 32;
Your statement:
“...I have always been against NAFTA and CAFTA, but I do not see it as an issue that can just be deleted without consequences, especially with China. I see those bills (especially since Clinton rushed into this, as poorly put together, no oversight, no balanced trade restrictions, no restrictions on companies moving out of the USA…”
I agree with your first sentence - but your ifnerence aimed at Clinton is wrong.
If you do your homework with an open mind, you’ll find out that origination of the ideas for NAFTA (and CAFTA) emanated from within the Reagan Whitehouse - that it was fleshed out by the Bush 41 administration - and that NAFTA was simply accepted and signed by Clinton as it was passed on to him - which, nevertheless, amazed me because he enthusiastically went along with a Reagan-Bush 41 “globalist-internationalist” policy (although, he has certainly become a globalist-internationalist in his own right). I happen to believe NAFTA was a DISASTER for the American economy.
And, I’m sure you well know, Reagan got the whole NAFTA ball rolling by opening the door to the illegal immigration that has been plaguing America for the past 25 years.

Re: Post 33;
Your statement:
“...But to hear the MSM and the White House are telling the media that these people are all Republicans, and that they are being bussed (sic) in…that the whole thing was orchestrated by the RNC…”
How quickly you forget.
During the 2000 Election controversy in Florida - in the days right after the election, when calls were being made for recounts, etc. - the GOP DID BUS AROUND large groups of activists among the counties where there seemed to be the most problems with the vote count - to jam and disrupt the County Clerk’s offices where vote-counting matters are handled. The activists looked like a crowd of young GOP lawyers and/or CPAs (which they were) - and they were referred to as “The Brooks Brothers Protestors” - or some such monniker.
At the time, the GOP was open (in Florida) about doing this, i.e., recruiting “professional” protestors and busing them around to disrupt the places where the GOP felt most vulnerable - to protest and disrupt any and all possibilities of a “recount” - and, simply, to intimidate.
There’s no reason to believe this can’t be occurring again with regard to protests, disruptions and intimidations at DEM Town Hall meetings on the health care reform plan. (It’s all about getting free TV video and sound bites showing opposition to the DEM plan.)

Re: Post 36;
Your statement:
“...I guess there is absolutely no hope for that mentally disturbed liberal…”
And, of course, someone criticizing the “Cash For Clunkers” program and warning people to stay away from it because “its nothing more than a way for the government to get into our private computers” - - is NOT “mentally disturbed”???
Yeah, you’re a real “voice of reason”, lady!

Re: Post 37;
Your comment:

So, don’t you think you should probably start packing up and looking for a new homeland where there are no Saul Alinskys? There’s surely no future in a “bankrupt” country. And I sure wouldn’t want to be anywhere where the government “forces” things on people or businesses. And, really, when the government owns failed private businesses - it’s, like, time to suck the gas pipe, isn’t it?
You have NEVER given ANY Democrat - or someone you consider “liberal” or “left-wing” - a “fair shake”.
Now - when I get on Bush 43’s case after putting up with his incompetence for EIGHT YEARS - you criticize me for being “wrong”, “a liberal” or a “Democrat” - or even a Socialist or Marxist. But you? After 6 1/2 months of the Obama administration - you’ve written him off and every other person you perceive to be a member of his administration, Democrats in general, ALL liberals and, especially, EVERYONE who voted for him - but YOU - after just 192 days - have got it all scoped out - and it’s a definitive and unmitigated disaster?
Yeah.
“Fair shake”.

tk (post 41)..Oh did I say that ? <lol>...Gee, must have been because I read the crazy terms of agreement warning from that govt website which was shown on FOX NEWS ! And FOX media were the ones who were warning the people about clicking onto that website. Not me ! And all I did was to post on AIM about what I had seen and had hoped that someone might shed some more light on that subject, or had seen that, as well. But instead, you went bizerk and proceeded with your name calling and attacks. So typical of you when you refuse to accept anything you read which anyone might happen to post. But you expect everyone else to have a compltely open mind with your postings ! And why are you still so angry and upset over that post, anyway? I am beginning to wonder if perhaps you took advantage of that Cash for Clunkers program. <lol>

Wes….Thanks for the “W.B.”
Once again, I agree with you !
And I also believe that we have gotten another Saul Alinsky. Everything that he has done, is doing and wants to do certainly seems to be pointing in that direction; not to mention the type of people that he has been friends with, and who were his mentors for so many years. And those Czars are scarey personalities too ! The one Czar who became a communist while serving time in prison belongs to an organization called APOLLO. Do you know anything about that group ?

Diane…Post 45:
First of all this will lead to another Obama Czar, Van Jones, more below.
The Apollo Alliance are true believers with an absolute belief that government is the solution to all social and economic problems, allied with labor unions, subsidy-seeking companies and global warming / weather control advocates.
Labor-dominated lobbying and electoral network which is heavily influenced by progressive plutocrats and secret donors working on anti-corporate, anti-military, welfare-state, and other “progressive” programs. Helped incubate the Apollo Alliance, now a project of “Tides Center”.
The Tides Center (Also called the Tides Foundation) is another player in turning this country into a Socialist/Marxist America.
Institute for America’s Future (IAF) is connected with Campaign for America’s Future. In 2004 IAF board members included Los Angeles Mayor and Obama Economic Transition Team member, Antonio Villaraigosa, of whom Trevor Loudon has written, and AFL-CIO president and Democratic Socialists of America member, John Sweeney, you will find a George Soros connection. In 1999 IAF received $100,000 in start-up funding and $465,000 in 2005 from Soros’s Open Society Institute. The Tides Foundation gave IAF $100,000 in 2001, $225,000 in 2004, $218,791 in 2005, and $152,196 in 2007. You may recall from earlier RBO posts that Tides works as a donor money laundering operation.
Also, the Sandler Family Supporting Foundation gave IAF $100,000 in 2005. Yesterday RBO connected Democratic mega donors Herbert and Marion Sandler to Henry Louis Gates Jr., Obama friend and mentor and the subject of the recent Gates-Gate scandal.
The Apollo Alliance has a long list of endorsers, including Green for All, the organization founded by “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones; Change to Win, an ACORN entity; ACORN itself; SEIU (son of ACORN); the Ella Baker Center, another Van Jones entity; and the Working Families Party (need we say ACORN?).
RBO (The Russian Brotherhood Organization of the USA, which is a fraternal benefit society), The RBO has done a number of articles on San Francisco Bay Area radical agitator and committed Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Van Jones.
More here on Van Jones and the RBO:
There are many more links concerning RBO and Van Jones.
I have this saved in a file, if anyone wants more links involving Van Jones and the RBO…

Re: Post 44;
So, then, Fox News is the far right-wing paranoid nutcase warning people that “Cash For Clunkers os the government’s way of trying to get into private computers”? Glad you cleared that up.
Your statement:
“...And why are you still so angry and upset over that post, anyway?...”
Because it’s one of the dumbest and most mindlessly paranoid statements I could imagine any reasonably-educated and reasonably-intelligent adult making - even a committed partisan wingnut.
(And it makes me wonder if the person who buys into such a ludicrous statement and conveys it to others will actually remember where they parked their space ship.)
Ma’am, with all due respect: it is an absolutely nutty statement originally made by some extremist wingnut who is obviously incapable of making the distinction between a possibly credible statement and a completely outlandish and bizarrely incredible statement - leading to some unthinking person and/or persons buying into it and spreading it around!
If Fox News was spreading this kind of garbage - then that should tell you that Fox News is certainly not beyond pandering to the extremist (and paranoid) right-wing, wild-eyed fringe.
My personal opinion is that any “normal” person hearing such an outlandish thing would laugh it off for being the absurdity that it is - and would know enough not to spread such a lunacy.
Besides - spreading this kind of garbage threatens the honest and effective attempts at governance in this country! And, obsessive, extreme, nutcase political and religion-based partisanship is a real cancer that can destroy any country.

Re: Post 45;
So, if so, what are you personally proposing to do about it?
(By the way, what did you do about it when we were informed by the previous president, deceitfully, it turns out, that it was NECESSARY to invade a foreign country half-a-world away? Did that sound the least bit Hitlerian or Stalinist to you (think Poland and Hungary) - as you claim the current president sounds “Alinskyish”?)

TK….Once again, the govt website was shown on Fox News. And that warning/terms of agreement was put on the govt website by people in govt. Fox was simply reporting the truth, unlike the MSM liberal trash that you must watch. Period. My goodness, what a big fuss you are making, as usual !

Wesley….Post #46
Thank you for sharing what you found. I will also refer to the website that you sent.
I think it is so disturbing that the Democratic party and liberal media are now trying to silence and demonize the people who are opposing Socialism in America. Every day citizens who are showing up at town hall meetings to exercise their constitutional rights, and are being referred to as “angry mobs”! It’s disgraceful! And yet these are the same leftists who praised people for protesting the Iraq war, and amnesty for illegal citizens, etc. And we have one of the biggest community organizers ever for a President, and it’s been fine for him or for ACORN groups to protest.
And isn’t it amusing that BO stated that he is always willing go to countries (whose leaders do not like us very much), and listen to them regarding their points of view, and that he is willing to negotiate with them ? But now he, along with too many of representatives are not willing to listen to the American people ? Some democrats are not even showing up for those meetings, I heard. Just goes to show what kind of CHANGE we are getting. BO is not helping to make anything better for this country, as he promised he would. But of course, I have heard him say that he believes the United States constitution is outdated. It’s all extremely disturbing.

Re: Post 49;
The statement that “Cash For Clunkers is a way for the government to get into our private computers” is an extreme, stupid and outlandish statement - regardless of who originated it.
If you don’t get exactly how incredibly ridiculous it is - well, then, I guess I would have to feel sorry for you.
(And, to me, people who would repeat such a stupid thing have no credibility whatsoever and should be eliminated from any serious discussions.)

Re; Post 50;
All blather.
Personally, I think your constant, aimless and fantasy-based ragging on and incessant criticism of the government is unAmerican.
Wouldn’t a reasonable person with average intelligence wait until there ACTUALLY WAS a COMPLETED, finalized two-house-reconciled health care reform bill being openly debated by and awaiting a final vote in Congress - - BEFORE you started making reactionary statements and endless criticisms of it?
You really don’t have a clue about what you’re bitching about - and you lay everything on Obama’s head - when the truth of the matter is that the lack of direction and knowledge on this issue is the result of the fact that OBAMA NEVER PROVIDED A DETAILED HEALTH CARE REFORM PLAN! HE left it up to Congress to develop the details - and the only full version of a bill that actually exists was written by a committee in the House of Representatives. At this point - there is NO SENATE BILL yet. (And - when there is - it will still have to be reconciled with the House version before each chamber votes on it.)
You’re blowing smoke at smoke!
(And, keep in mind. The real problem in health care is COST - and the 15% of working Americans who don’t have HC insurance - and the 5% of self-employed and workers in businesses that do not provide HC insurance and who have to buy the insurance individually at exorbitant premiums - is another serious problem.
And, of course, since annual health care expenditures amount to some 20% of the entire U.S. economy - as the prices increase and become more-and-more unaffordable - making it even more impossible for individuals and small businesses to access insurance and/or care - the overall economy will suffer and will decline dramatically.
And, further, for many years, the biggest source of new jobs in this country has been - health care.)

Of course we should all forget about the Cash 4 Clunkers, and while we are at it, let’s forget about the reporting of “fishy” emails to the White House blog site, also.
Keep at it, personal attacks have always been the haven of the Left. But, as with everything else they’re caught doing, they blame the other guys. You gotta love it!
The funny part is, of those I speak to who voted for this administration, their defense of it is either growing much more mild, or, is gone altogether.

Re: Post 53;
Your statement:
“...personal attacks have always been the haven of the Left…”
C’mon! That’s a ridiculous right-winger shibboleth that certainly cannot be proven.
In fact - who’s always calling somebody a “communist”, “socialist” or Marxist; who’s always calling somebody a “radical”; who’s always calling somebody “unpatriotic” or “unAmerican”; who’s always calling somebody a “baby killer” ??? ??? ???
In reality, in the modern era, let’s say, since WW II - one could make an exceptionally strong case that unwarranted politically-based “personal attacks” on a broad scale were initiated and perfected by one particular Republican Senator from Wisconsin between 1947 and 1957.
(And, by the way: Any old time you can, give a listen to, say, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck - even Sean Hannity - if you want to hear some “personal attacks”. In fact, Savage is currently making a living attacking Obama as a “foreign-born commie pinko marxist” - and Beck has been attacking Obama as a “white racist” - and check out some of the right-wing attacks that occur here! And, of course, Karl Rove perfected the “personal attack” as a normal campaigning tool (even against his own), e.g., “McCain is the father of a black child as the result of an adulterous affair”. Note: the kid was adopted.)

I rest my case. In fact, post 54 only goes on to prove my point. Catch them with their hand in the cookie jar, and they blame you.
That having been said, calm yourself down, and get back to the hospital before they close the gates for the night.

Re: Post 55;
You had no case.
(And - exactly WHO immediately engaged in a verbal “personal attack” here, i.e., “calm yourself down, and get back to the hospital before they close the gates for the night”? It never ceases to amaze me how blatant ignorant hypocrisy has no shame.)

TK, I have looked at your posts, and if we are going to discuss hypocrisy, you are certainly the one to give the rest of us a lesson or two. By the way, my sentiments stand.

RIslander,
He cannot help himself, he is no better than MSNBC anchor calling the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) protesters; “Teabaggers” that was one of their many FCC violations which cost them a huge fine.
Until I heard that, actually Fox News reported the story, but refused to say the name on the air, so I had to do a search on “MSNBC foul words” and found it was Teabagger(s). I even had to look that one up as I had never heard the term before. When I saw the meaning of the word, I was wondering why those three so-called reporters still had a job.
One must wonder if our dissenter is one of those.

Re: Post 57;
“Case” and “sentiments” are two drastically different things.
And talking about hypocrisy - you were the one criticizing the Left for “personal attacks” - and when someone evidenced a detailed difference of opinion with you - you immediately engaged in a “personal attack” rather thanintelligently responding to the difference of opinion.
Consequently, neither your “case” nor your “sentiments” have any credibility whatsoever.

Re: Post 58;
Since “Rislander” doesn’t want to recognize the “personal attack” quotient in his OWN post - - then you are the PERFECT EXAMPLE disproving his “theory” that “personal attacks” emanate only from the Left.
(Are you really a closet Leftist, Wes! In any event, you perfectly evidence the “personal attack” mentality that is endemic ON THE RIGHT - as do some of your “buddies” here.)
P.S.
I would imagine that there are a lot of things that you “never heard” of before.

Post 50, 51:
TK,
Is that the way you talk to a Lady? One who has become interested in this corrupt political presidency.
As I have said, you have a lot of class, it is a shame it is all low.
Obama is losing his base, and tries to blame it on Republicans…Biden “We misjudged the state of the economy…” yet once Obama put in what he called a fix for the economy, and said unemployment would not go above 8%, (now at 9.6% and rising) he blamed Bush once again. It’s been almost seven months, and spent trillions and still will not accept the economy getting much worse under his rule.
And tk, you have not disappointed me yet, when I tell people who disagree with you, regardless of the truth being thrown at you, you still just attack.
It would appear that you have no heart of convictions, nor a conscious.

Post 60:
You get back what you put out there, plain and simple.
And yes, I am not familiar with Homosexual things, obviously someone is…

Re: Post 61;
1.) “...Is that the way you talk to a Lady?...”
What’s “Lady” got to do with it? I was talking about a completely ridiculous statement the poster (regardless of sex) made.
2.) “Convictions”?
Certainly. Strong ones. They’re just not the same ones as yours. (And - if you don’t know what they are by now - you’re slow.)
2.) “Conscious”?
Yes.
(And, so far, Thank Goodness, my “heart” seems to be working fine! Thank you for asking!)
P.S.
And - I do believe Obama is losing ground because he’s insisting on dealing with far too many issues at one time - and the general public cannot absorb and process all the goings on - and, of course, the disinformation-blast by the GOPs is contributing to that chaos and confusion.
I believe he should have stuck just to “the economy” for the rest of this year.
His strategy will definitely cost him his “public option” in the health care reform plan - and after probable failure of getting the type of health care reform he had hoped for (he’ll probably get a much “lesser” passed - not much more than an expansion of Medicaid) - his crew will probably realize that the Cap and Trade idea will have to go on a back burner.
He should have stuck to loan modification - stopping residential value decline - the auto companies - Sotomayor - and jobs, jobs, jobs (like CCC and WPA) for this year.

Wesley (post #32) “I see those bills (especially since Clinton rushed into this [NAFTA], as poorly put together, no oversight, no balanced trade restrictions, no restrictions on companies moving out of the USA.”
Actually, the Republicans complicity in this disastrous ‘agreement’ of government-managed trade ran deep. In fact, it was H.W. Bush who spear-headed the effort in 1991 along with the Canadian Prime Minister and Mexican President and attempted to fast-track it from it’s negotiation phase to him signing it before his term expired.
After Clinton picked up from where Bush left off, there was a frenzy by the center-right Republican structure, right-wing talk radio, the Clinton administration and MSM into getting it passed. The Wall Street Journal, National Review, CATO Institute, and pundits such as Tony Snow and Robert Novak pushed for NAFTA. Dissenters such as Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot where smeared as simple-minded protectionists or isolationists by the neocon[artists].
And as it turned out, 132 House Republicans voted for it as opposed to 102 House Democrats voting for it.
As far as voting against NAFTA - Only 43 Republicans voted against it, while 156 Democrats voted against it.
<<<“I have always been against NAFTA and CAFTA, but I do not see it as an issue that can just be deleted without consequences, especially with China.”>>>
I agree.
The only solution, which both party’s would fiercely resist, would be to return to an international gold standard to prevent governments from micromanaging international trading through the current fiat monetary system, which allows for actions such as export subsidies for politically-favored industries at the expense of the taxpayers, foreign aid, international loan guarantees, etc. From there, it would be easier to get out of NAFTA, GATT, WTO, IMF, Export-Import Bank, and World Bank so as to cut out all government interference in international trade with its excessive regulations and expensive bloated international bureaucracies who we are relinquishing our sovereignty.
There is nothing ‘free’ about the North American Free Trade Agreement. It is a form of mercantilism in disguise.
The fact that both party’s got us into debacles such as NAFTA is the reason I vote third party now.
As far as Devvy Kidd being a Libertarian - She’s a self-proclaimed Constitutionalist.

TK ...Post #63 ” And I do believe that Obama is losing ground because his insistancy on dealing with far too many issues at one time -and the general public cannot absorb.”
Are you kidding me ? He is losing ground because of his insistancy to be in a HUGE rush to take over and to totally control this country ! He is continuing to destroy the economy, and to turn this country into a Nanny State, and to destroy our Health Care system, and to control small businesses, and too many other things to list here. AND THAT is why he is losing ground; not to mention that no one in congress has the time to read any bills that he is in such a hurry to rush through ! And his spineless lap dogs are losing ground, as well ! And you think that people are not able to absorb all of that ? Talk about insults to the American people ! We are not stupid out here ! You and Chris Matthews take the cake ! I heard Chris Matthews on CNN tonight feeding that exact same exact crap sandwich which you just posted here to everyone across America ! I was joking a little bit when I suggested that you go back to watching Chris Matthews the other day in one of my posts, but I now realize just how right I was !
“And process all the goings on-and of course, the disinformation -blast by the GOP’s is contributing to that chaos and confusion.”
Trust me on this ...IF BO was doing the job that he should be doing and hiring the right people who understood how to turn the economy around , things would be better by now. And there would be nothing that the GOP’s could say to confuse anyone, if he was doing a good job! You have to remember that many Republicans and Independents voted for him and they BELIEVED his lies, and they have given him ample time to show his stuff, and he has failed ! And people are worried and scared , and no one is to blame for that excect BO , himself ! The man child is a community organizer and a good speaker (with the help of a teleprompter ), and people are waking up and realizing now that is ALL that he is really capable of doing very well.
“I believe that he should have stuck to the economy for the rest of the year.”
THAT is ALL that he has been doing from the time that he took office, besides flying all over the world apologizing for American and kissing the hands and feet of and bowing down to rulers of countries who do not like America much. He has been working very hard on destroying the economy every which way that he can, and one of those ways is to destroy our health care system. There are more constructive ways to reform Health Care, but he wants us to feel helpless like people in Canada ! And that is is main goal ! Get you head out of the green kool aide pitcher !
“His strategy will definitley cost him his public option in the health care reform plan -and after probable failure of getting the type of health care reform that HE had hoped for (he’ll probably get a much lessor passed -not much more than an expansion of medicade) -his crew will probably realize that the Cap and Trade idea will have to go on a back burner. “
Well, hopefully, his sneaky strategies will cost him, and they should ! And hopefully he will not get the type of health care reform that HE had hoped for, along with San Fran Nan, and his crazy CZARS and LAP DOGS (NOT CREW!!..lol), had also hoped for ! And hopefully that Crap and Tax will sit on the back burner and totally evaporate !

Post #61…Thanks, Wes ! Still enjoying the postings, and interesting information, as time allows.
Post #64…Thanks, Neo conned. More interesting information!
You gentlemen are awesome !!

Re: Post 66;
Go get some warm milk - or a tranquilizer - or go take a long walk in the woods - or something!
And - instead of continually posting often incoherent or incomprehensible or paranoid ramblings - why don’t you just post this folloing paragraph of yours and leave it at that???
“...He is losing ground because of his insistancy (sic) to be in a HUGE rush to take over and to totally control this country ! He is continuing to destroy the economy, and to turn this country into a Nanny State, and to destroy our Health Care system, and to control small businesses, and too many other things to list here…”
That says it all about your ideological hatred of Obama, Democrats, Liberals and anybody else that doesn’t see it your way. If you have to post here - just keep posting that same paragraph over and over. It’s “you”!
(You know, like addicts have to first admit their addiction before they can hope to eliminate it - you should admit you addiction to blind right-wing political extremism and see if you can return yourself to the world of intelligence, common sense and reason.)

Neo-conned,
I agree with most of your post, however when it was first created as NAFTA, it was between the United States, Canada, and Mexico, thus the name of the acronym; North American Free Trade Agreement.
By the time Clinton got to it, it included China, and several other countries. It was under NAFTA that Clinton allowed Loral to send the Chinese Guidance Systems for their Satellite placing rockets. It is not a far leap that the very same technology is easily used as ICBM and other Targeting Guidance Systems. To this very day, no one can explain, or seems to know what became of the Case against The Loral Corp. from the Justice Department, there seems to be no record of the suit filed.
But yes, both parties were guilty of passing the program.
Back to current events…First of all, the Town Hall meetings, Democrats claim the dissent over Health Care are all organized by the RNC and absolutely no evidence what so ever. Pelosi claiming there was a Swastika signs was being paraded in these meetings. She based her claim on videos being shown on Fox and YouTube. After careful viewing of the videos, even Democrats in office are saying they never saw anything of the sort.
Without notice, town-hall meetings last night and from now on will have crowd control staffed by the SEIU and the AFL-CIO muscle. Several were charged with intimidation and using physical violence against the protesters. Just another instance of disallowing Freedom of Speech.
Many of these protesters are the same ones who put Obama and the Congress in Office, mainly Democrats and Independents, with a hand full of Republicans. By using tactics against the protesters will only serve to help Republicans in both the Mid-Term elections, and the 2012 elections.
Now we learn that the Senate may pass the Health Care bill using only a 50 member vote, rather than the required 60 member vote. The only reason behind that is to exclude the eight Blue Dog Democrats.
And speaking of the SEIU, this leads us to ACORN…
As with all Acorn’s, a tree is born as it grows it creates many branches, and a massive root system.
That is what we need to look into concerning what is really going on 1304 Elysian Fields in New Orleans in a Converted Funeral Hone which only has four offices, but 252 companies use that as their business address. We know that the sign on the building says; ACORN, Int. and SEIU Local 100.
Many of the branches on this tree lead to many companies which local investigators are unable to locate many of these businesses and their connections, many of which have been traced back to Obama, this lawsuit was filed against ACORN back in January, and has yet to move:
http://flutemandy.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/inreacorn-01072009.pdf
We know many of the branches are wide and far spread corruption from foundations such as the Tides Group (two entities), many Unions, but most importantly the connection to the Apollo Alliance.
This too is being investigated by Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, but they are running into brick walls.
This is a good site to begin learning about what is now going on:

Re: post #67
Thanks, Diane.
As a former Republican, I was elated during the 1994 Republican victory in the House and Senate and then subsequently disappointed by their duplicity.
Going back to Devvy Kidd again… from an article of hers “Who Is The Real Newt Gingrich”
http://www.newswithviews.com/Devvy/kidd450.htm
[“Llewellyn Rockwell, President of the Ludwig von Mises Institute and publisher of The Free Market, observes that, rhetoric notwithstanding, “Newt Gingrich is a Rockefeller Republican,” a big-government `Conservative’ who talks a good line, but like Ronald Reagan will give us higher taxes, more government, and more spending. His `Contract with America’ is a fraud; it should be called a `Press Conference with America.”’ Or, perhaps, a “Contract On America.” Newt’s “Contract” with its calls for amendments to balance the budget and impose term limits, seems to imply that our original contract, the U.S. Constitution, is gravely deficient.”]
To me, nightmares such as racist Barry Obama’s (ahem) ‘presidency’ don’t occur by happenstance. There had to have been a certain amount of repudiation of the previous administration for this current calamity to have struck us.
For example - Most Americans wanted our borders closed, post 9/11 - Bush didn’t; despite the constant drumbeat from his administration of future threats of additional terrorist attacks on our soil. Add to that, the economical strain on our country that excessive illegal immigration has caused.
Most Americans are repulsed at the concept of sub-prime mortgages granted to people who are not financially qualified, which emanated from the Clinton administration strengthening the Community Reinvestment Act.
The Republican majority’s response?
They were silent on the issue during the late 1990’s and through most of G W Bush’s presidency. Add to that, Bush’s contribution to this insanity with his ridiculous “American Dream Downpayment Act” which provided government assistance to cover the downpayments and closing costs for lower-income and minority groups buying homes.
So, who really is going to save us in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles?

Re: Post 69;
Your statement:
“... By the time Clinton got to it, it included China, and several other countries. It was under NAFTA that Clinton allowed Loral to send the Chinese Guidance Systems for their Satellite placing rockets…”
And your source for this declaration is ... ???
And how do your reconcile your inference that, somehow, “China” became a formal party to the “North American Free Trade Agreement” ... ???

Re: Post 70;
Your statement:
“... nightmares such as racist Barry Obama’s (ahem) ‘presidency’...”
And you can justify calling the President of the United States “racist” ... how???
(And, if in a post, I happened to call your neighbor, the former president, “alcoholic”, “stupid” and “draft-dodger”, especailly after he skipped out on his reserve military duty - what would you have to say about it ...???)

Wes..(post #69)
I have been reading all that I am able to find about ACORN and APOLLO. The entire media should be investigating and educating Americans about these organizations. So thanks again for those websites.
Seems that BO is back on the campaign trail. I heard that he is now trying to sell “Health INSURANCE Reform.” Guess he thinks that his Socialized health care will be easier for Americans to swallow if he sticks a different lable on the package. Perhaps he learned that from his psychology Czar ? Does he have one of those yet ?
I will be helping to take a large group (mob?..lol) of physcially disabled Senior citizens to a town hall meeting next week,(along with their wheel chairs), and sure hoping there will be room enough for everyone. It will be interesting to see what happens. Everyone is anxious to attend. Hopefully it won’t be one of those meetings where the state representative winds up running out the back door when the people begin asking some tough questions. Did you hear Harry Reid say that protestors at these meetings are trying to sabbatoge the Democratic process ? Unbelievable !

Re: #72 <<<“And you can justify calling the President of the United States “racist” ... how???”>>>
20 year attendance at a racist minister’s ‘church’.
Nomination of a racist Hispanic to the Supreme Court.
<<<“And, if in a post, I happened to call your neighbor, the former president, “alcoholic”, “stupid” and “draft-dodger”, especailly after he skipped out on his reserve military duty - what would you have to say about it ...???>>>
I would have agreed with you.
Had he not been born into a politically-powerful family, I don’t think Bush would have been qualified for a government staffing position, much less president.

Re: Post 74;
Your responses:
(1.) “... 20 year attendance at a racist minister’s ‘church’...”
So, would a Prison Warden with 20 years of service become - the same kind of person as are the criminals he guarded?
Regarding a child who lives for 20 years with a Father who is a convicted felon who did prison time - should that kid be automatically considered a future felon, too?
And yourself - did you grow up in a right-wing political environment - thereby explaining your own politics today?
(2.) “... Nomination of a racist Hispanic to the Supreme Court…”
Have you discovered a means that allows one to determine another person’s racial preferences, biases or prejudices - or are you jumping to a conclusion, assumption or supposition based on your own preferences, biases or prejudices as to what’s in the heart and mind of the newest Supreme Court justice?
Can you review some of the posters here and then divulge who you have also determined may be racists among those posting on this forum?

Personally, I don’t care for Rev. Wright or Sonia Sotomayor on a variety of levels.
And, it’s easy to perceive the typical “civil rights fire and brimstone” ranting of Wright (and his own proud “blackness”) as “racist” - as well as - Sotomayor’s own visible “ethnicity”, “32 famous words” and concurrence with the majority decision in the New Haven firefighters’ case.
BUT - if one sticks with that superficial level of observation and analysis - then I believe that same standard would also ascertain that “extremist Republicans” and “extremist Democrats” - and maybe even lifelong Irish dancers or members of the local Italian-American Club - were also “racist”. (???)
In my opinion, the two reasons you give for calling Obama a “racist” probably say more about your own preferences, biases and prejudices than it does about his. I can also admit that my own predispositions about Wright and Sotomayor are probably in that same category - rather than being some objective and definitive analysis of them.
I believe Obama is no more a racist than you or I am - and - given his personal history - he’s most likely less so than you or I am.
(Beginning during our undergraduate years, one of my best friends over a several year period was the grandson of an active Mafia Don (and son of a Father also very active in the endeavor) - does that then automatically make me a “supporter of” or “participant in” “organized crime”?)
P.S.
I heartily agree with your last sentence. (Note: his Grandfather was a senator from Connecticut - a member of the Yale Corporation - a board member of CBS - and a Wall Street bigwig.)

tk….(Post #75) Sounds to me that perhaps (just maybe ) you could very well be a supporter of organized crime. After all, you defend what is happening inside our govt right regarding what the selected officials are doing to this country; with their Chicago style of operated govt (the Czars), etc. And by the way, didn’t your mother ever teach you that you are known by the kind of company that you keep ?

Re: Post 76;
Your statement:

You want to translate this for those of us who are not from your planet?
Your statement:
“...And by the way, didn’t your mother ever teach you that you are known by the kind of company that you keep?...”
Hey, and just what do you think she would say if she ever knew I was writing a note to you???

Re: #75
<<<“So, would a Prison Warden with 20 years of service become - the same kind of person as are the criminals he guarded?”>>>
Only if the prison warden chooses to become a criminal; just as Obama chose to attend Wright’s church.
<<<“Regarding a child who lives for 20 years with a Father who is a convicted felon who did prison time - should that kid be automatically considered a future felon, too?”>>>
There’s a big difference between a child being involuntarily reared by a convicted felon and a grown man voluntarily attending a racist church.
<<<“Have you discovered a means that allows one to determine another person’s racial preferences, biases or prejudices - or are you jumping to a conclusion, assumption or supposition based on your own preferences, biases or prejudices as to what’s in the heart and mind of the newest Supreme Court justice?”>>>
I go by what the woman said. (Wise Latina comment)
That is how I made my determination.
If a white (right-wing) nominee said the same, (Wise Caucasian), that nominee would be history after the Democrats and media popped their collective blood vessels in their moral outrage over such bigotry.
<<<“Can you review some of the posters here and then divulge who you have also determined may be racists among those posting on this forum?”>>>
Can’t say I ever witnessed any racism on this venerable site. All criticisms of Democrats that I’ve witnessed here seems to come from a political or legal viewpoint. I included ‘legal’ here as a reference to Obama’s highly questionable constitutional eligibility to be president.
<<<“BUT - if one sticks with that superficial level of observation and analysis - then I believe that same standard would also ascertain that “extremist Republicans” and “extremist Democrats” - and maybe even lifelong Irish dancers or members of the local Italian-American Club - were also “racist”. The difference between someone like Sotomayor and the examples you gave above, is that Sotomayor made her racist statement in public, which exposed her, and thereby, disqualifies her from being a judge on any court. It also showed that she has no emotional self control.
Also, ‘extremist Republicans’ and ‘extremist Democrats’ aren’t, by default, ‘racists’, unless they publicly make racist statements such as Sotomayor did. I would assume that ‘status quo’ Republicans in the GOP view Ron Paul as an ‘extremist Republican’, and he’s certainly no racist.
<<<“In my opinion, the two reasons you give for calling Obama a “racist” probably say more about your own preferences, biases and prejudices than it does about his.”>>>
If by ‘preferences’, you mean ‘politics’, then you are wrong. If a President Ron Paul nominated someone who made racist statements, I’d say “dump the nominee” and I would be scratching my head over Paul’s morality if he refused to withdraw the nominee. If Paul himself was affiliated with any racist organizations while running for office, I’d disassociate myself from him in a flash no matter how appealing I find his political agenda to be.
<<<“Beginning during our undergraduate years, one of my best friends over a several year period was the grandson of an active Mafia Don (and son of a Father also very active in the endeavor) - does that then automatically make me a “supporter of” or “participant in” “organized crime”?”>>>
No, it doesn’t make you a supporter/participant of organized crime; just as long as you didn’t condone, profit, or otherwise participate in the Mafia activities of your friend’s grandfather.
On the other hand, Obama DID participate and condone the hate that his minister preached by attending his church services all those years with his wife and tragically, his children.

I am running out of time to go to my Son’s Wedding, so I will not be back in town until Sunday evening, and do not have time to reply at this moment, I will when I return. We are leaving in 30 minutes…If the wife is ready by then, LOL.
If I have time, which I doubt, I may log-on during my trip, for now I need to give myself an injection of Procrit, already received my blood transfusions.
Neo-conned, you have made some very good points.

Re; #79
I appreciate that Wes.
The only rationalization that I can come up with concerning TK’s contorted logic in trying to justify racism among certain segments of the Black and Hispanic population, is either ‘unfounded White guilt’ (assuming TK is White), or for political reasons.
If TK is Black or Hispanic, then it would seem that he carries the same perpetual ‘chip on his shoulder’ that the usurper and Sotomayor does in his ‘defense of the indefensible’.

I also think you made some excellent points.
I was also thinking about Obama’s early years, as he was growing up and about how Frank Marshall Davis was his friend and mentor, and also a friend of his father’s. Obama spent time talking with him and reading his poetry , and he listened to Davis talk about how he hated America, as well as to his racist remarks. And of course Frank Marshall Davis was a Marxist/ Communist. Frank Marshall Davis was also a pedifile and had been arrested and jailed twice for that. (Hopefully he did not approach young Obama in that way). Anyway, after Obama was old enough to leave his early influences, what did he do but to pick up with the familiar kinds of teachings and people as Frank Davis ...those who expressed hatred for the United States, such as Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers, Rev Wright. This served to remind me about the phrase: , “Teach a child in the way he shall go, and he will not depart from it. ”
And I also believe that Obama could have chosen not to hang around with those radical influences. And might have succeeded had he been attending a REAL Christian church. By the way, he mentioned recently that he has not been able to find a church in DC to take his family to that is politically correct. So what’s with that ?
Also found the website that you shared regarding Newt Gingrich very interesting. Some of those things I remembered , and some were shocking. So glad I read that and know about that now. I saved the website for future reads. Appreciated.
I also wonder what is to come in 2010 and 2012. Do you suppose that there might be a chance that the American people will be so fed up with govt that they might possibly sweep the old politics out of Washington and replace them with Independents / Liberaterians ? I’m for that !
I’m for smaller govt, less taxes, or abolishing the IRS completely, and for restoring and preserving our constitutional rights. Is that too much to expect? <lol>
Wes…Sounds like you were enjoying a very special and memoriable weekend ! <smile>

Thanks Diane, we had a great time at my Son’s wedding, although it was 101 F., with the wind coming off their lake, and was had outdoor air conditioning under the Garden Canopy where the service was performed. It was a very, very nice ceremony; they are now on their Honeymoon.
*Regarding what will happen in 2010 and 2012 is hard to tell with so many Latinos angry at the Republicans by voting against Sotomayor, but there is little doubt they would stay with the Democrats on most with the exception of Abortion, just as when California’s last Proposition to allow Gay weddings, it failed by 57%, most of which were Black and some Hispanics.
With all these Town Hall Meetings, with people of every persuasion are rebelling against ObamaCare, for some reason, the White House, Pelosi and her backup, Steny Hoyer, and Harry Reid. In fact the majority of protesters were Democrats, Independents, and some Republicans.
Pelosi and Reid have called anyone who opposes Universal Health Care, “Un-American”.
Upon request, the SEIU Members assault Democrats and Republicans at Town Hall Meeting, charges have been filed against five SEIU Members beating down a Black (Democrat) for expressing his dislike of the Obama Health Care Plan
SEIU Members assaulted a female reporter and assaulted and another female photo journalist filming the event for the news, calls her many vulgar names, and then hits her, she too has filed charges against the Union Member. (Florida)
The Obama White House has not Condemned the Violence regarding the SEIU and AFL-CIO at Town Hall Meetings, if fact Kathleen Sebelius made a phone call with SEIU on Wednesday last week, talking about the “Purple Army” (SEIU’s Color, and wear Purple Shirts with SEIU on the back of the shirts in large letters) encouraging members of the SEIU to keep doing what they are doing.
Pelosi/Hoyer: Town hall disruptions ‘un-American’
Is calling the protesters at your event “un-American” the best political path?
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer think so, with their op-ed in this morning’s USA Today saying that “drowning out opposing views is simply un-American.”
http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/0809/PelosiHoyer_Town_hall_distruptions_unAmerican.html
One Michigan Man, Mike Sola who has a child with Cerebral Palsy, was complaining to the Democratic Congressman John Dingell. Mr. Sola was asking about Health Care for his son, which would not be covered by ObamaCare. The next night at around 1:30am, three men awoke him, when he answered the door, they told him…“See, we know where you live, so keep your mouth shut, or it would be shut for him”, and threatened his family with harm. “Mr. Sola replied to the men, to tell whoever sent them to come see him in person during the “Day”’

Opponents of the the Health Care Bill are being called Mob Rule, and RNC Organized, the the Proponents of Heath Care are being called “Patriotic Supporters”. Showing the people referred to in the news story, the opponents are carrying homemade signs and all have differing messages…The proponents are ALL carrying pre-printed signs, which all say the same thing. So who seems best organized to you?

Diane (re: #81)
Glad you enjoyed the Gingrich article.
In early 1995, just before his death, Austrian economist and astute political commentator, Murray Rothbard, wrote an essay about the major Republican players of that day, the neocon faction as well as the non-neocon faction.
I use the word ‘astute’ because it’s amazing to me how he SO accurately assessed the political backgrounds and REAL motivations of those such as Bill Bennett, Jack Kemp, Bob Dole, Gingrich, etc. He also shows how the neocons began to dominate the Republican party during the late 1970’s.
Rothbard, who supported Pat Buchanan in the 1992 primary, was already onto the GOP back at the time the ‘Republican Revolution’ occurred; a time when most Republican voters thought that the new majority GOP was going to ‘save’ them from the policies of the Clinton administration and big government in general.
A very worthwhile read.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/rothbard/ir/Ch19.html
As far as the 2010 mid-term elections, I may have been too quick in telling Wesley that the Republicans would have to change their ways in order to gain a lot of seats.
I say this because Obama is replicating what Clinton did in the first two years of his first term in attempting to ram through a lot of unpopular legislation in such a short time period. This is setting the stage for a similar backlash that Clinton experienced in the 1994 mid-term elections.
Of course, such a backlash would only serve as a ‘symbolic’ reaction to Obama and won’t satisfy us ‘smaller government’ voters in the long run, unless the Republicans change their big-spending ways.
We’ll just have to wait and see.

Re: Post 78;
As I’ve said before, I often think your logic and reasoning are flawed - and that your conclusions, to use the term loosely, are often way off the mark.
I not really interested in going line-by-line with you, but here are a couple of examples:
Your statement:
(a.) <<<“So, would a Prison Warden with 20 years of service become - the same kind of person as are the criminals he guarded?”>>> “...Only if the prison warden chooses to become a criminal; just as Obama chose to attend Wright’s church…”
Your reasoning is wrong. Obama choosing to “attend” Wright’s church would be similar to the Warden choosing to “work” at the prison. The Warden choosing to become a “criminal” would most closely match up with Obama choosing to become a minister in the style of Rev. Wright.
b.) “...There’s a big difference between a child being involuntarily reared by a convicted felon and a grown man voluntarily attending a racist church…”
What’s the difference “why” they’re there or under what circumstances they’re there. And I did say “20 years” - so we’re not always dealing with a poor, defenseless minor in the example.
The point is - BOTH have a 20-year history of potentially being bombarded by some sort of, shall we say, “propaganda” - or “lifestyle” sermons - so, if the Father is a felon and the Reverend is a racist - and if you assume, therefore, that Obama has been turned into a racist by Wright - you’d have to also conclude that the son was just as likely to be turned into a felon by his Father.
c.) “...Also, ‘extremist Republicans’ and ‘extremist Democrats’ aren’t, by default, ‘racists’, unless they publicly make racist statements such as Sotomayor did…”
My point wasn’t that GOPs or DEMs were “racist” in the, say, traditional “caucasian vs. black” racial or ethnic sense but, rather, in the figurative sense that an extremist DEM might “hate” a GOP simply because he/she is a GOP - and the extremist GOP could, in turn, be a figurative “racist” against all DEMs simply because they were DEMs.
Extreme bias, prejudice and discrimination (all resembling “racism” in the traditional sense) can exist between and among peole based on any number of personal characteristics.
My point here is that individuals on the extreme fringe of BOTH major political parties can rise up to the level of traditional and vehement and potentially violent “racism” based simply on the fact one side despises the other simply because the other side IS the “other” side - just as those who are of one race or ethnicity might hate those of any another race or ethnicity.
_____________________
There’s still plenty of racism in this country - and there are plenty of people who are still unaccepting of the idea that “a black man” is president - and I’m certain there would have been those would would have been “unaccepting” if “a woman” had been elected - and there certainly are those political extremists who will find any and all reasons (however specious or outlandish) to “hate” the other side - especially if the other side happens to be in power - and even worse if the titular head of the other side doesn’t fit the “correct” image.
For me, there’s no conclusive evidence that either Sotomayor or Obama ARE overt racists in practice - although Sotomayor’s “famous 32 words” and Obama’s attendance at Wright’s church can raise a suspicion in those who have a prediliction to suspicion.
Personally, I don’t care for the choice of Sotomayor for the Supreme Court - nor did I vote for Obama - but EVERYBODY, to varying degrees, is probably ethnocentric and has their own personal preferences, biases and prejudices to one degree or another. The issue is whether or not people actually act on and willfully discriminate on the basis of those preferences, biases and prejudices.
I don’t have any evidence that either Sotomayor or Obama have actually and willfully so-discriminated in their professional careers.

Re: Post 80;
What a nutty post.
You’re definitely becoming the local expert in certifying that 1+1=3.

TK (post #84) - re: your points a), b), and c) -
Whew!!!
Is that convoluted, gobalty-goop an example of what to expect in a Marxist re-education camp in the coming near or far future?
Oh wait, here comes the camp commandant to take over for TK -
“WHAT YOU CLAIM TO HAVE SEEN WITH YOUR OWN EYES OR HAVE HEARD WITH YOUR OWN EARS HAS BEEN ‘MISINTERPRETED’ IN YOUR UNENLIGHTENED, INFERIOR, PREJUDICED, RIGHT-WING, MIND!!
WHEN YOU LEARN TO INTERPRET WORDS AND EVENTS IN THE ‘PROPER’ MANNER, A SQUARE WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE A SQUARE - 2 PLUS 2 EQUALING 4 WILL BE A MATTER OF OPINION - FAR LEFT RACIST MINORITIES CAN NEVER BE RACIST; ONLY THE INHERENT BIGOTRY OF WHITE, RIGHT-WING NEANDERTHALS SHALL BE ADDRESSED…AND DEALT WITH!!
CLASS DISMISSED”
You said - <<<“There’s still plenty of racism in this country - and there are plenty of people who are still unaccepting of the idea that “a black man” is president - and I’m certain there would have been those would would have been “unaccepting” if “a woman” had been elected.”>>>
I can assure you, TK, with supreme confidence, and feel that I can speak for the majority of ‘right-wing’ posters here, that if a Black, a female, or a Black female, or an Hispanic female small government, low tax, Conservative candidate ran for POTUS against a lily-white liberal Democrat male, that their votes would overwhelmingly go towards the Conservative minority candidate.
It’s always about politics, and not about race or gender.
But I think you already knew that, didn’t you TK?

Re: Post 86;
Your statement:
“...Is that convoluted, gobalty (sic)-goop an example of what to expect in a Marxist re-education camp in the coming near or far future?...”
As I’ve said - nutty!
And - before you worry about “re-education” - you ought to concern yourself with getting a sound basic education, especially in those areas of your pretend-expertise.
Another of your statements:
“...It’s always about politics, and not about race or gender…”
V-E-R-Y naive.
If you don’t think “politics” and “race” in this country are almost inextricably connected - you, first, ought to do some reading on the history of politics in this country in the period following the Civil War - to see just how tightly-bound politics and race were.
Then, second, follow that up with some reading on the history of politics and race in this country during the period, say, from the beginning of Truman’s administration, through to the election of Nixon.
The genesis of the modern GOP came about in this latter period - when staunchly racist and segregationist southern Democrats - the Dixiecrats - became disenchanted with Democratic Party efforts to enforce civil rights legislation and racial integration in the south - and they consequently bolted, en masse, to the GOP - ultimately becoming the solid, southern (and ostensibly ‘conservative’) RED States that elected Nixon and are the so-called “base” of the GOP today.
So, generally, and historically-speaking, racism was certainly a big part of the genetic make-up of the post-Truman-Kennedy-Johnson GOP and, indeed, the GOP did accept and embody a good bit of bigotry among its newest members back then: white, so-called conservative, so-called religious southerners - many of whom were, to use your word, quite “Neanderthal”-like during the civil rights and integration struggles of the ‘60s - and even afterward.
And, certainly, anyone can become a “racist” - even those who had once been or are themselves the victims of racism. BUT - the history of racism in this country is that racism was clearly and predominantly engendered by so-called conservative and religious white southerners - against negros (and sometimes even moreso against those who might have been biracial).
In fact, in my local area in the south, which was historically Dixiecrat - but became rabidly GOP some 50 years ago - the first black kid wasn’t allowed into the local high school until 1964 - and, even then, only under duress - and that was in a so-called ‘more liberal’ southern town which, much earlier, had had a black postmaster and even a black mayor!
If you don’t think there isn’t some grassroots traditional racism remaining in the south today - and among so-called ‘conservative’ and ‘religious’ right-wing white GOPs - then you’re incredibly naive and/or uninformed - or you’re just purposely blowing smoke to obscure the fact.
Politics and race have marched hand-in-hand in the U.S. for a long time.
(Note: I certainly would not make any bets based on your “supreme confidence” regarding anything! And, if you can’t salve your apparently unmitigated fear of being sent to some American “Marxist re-education camp”, you might start thinking of moving to some other country where that particular fear might not weigh on you so significantly.)

Re: (#87) “And - before you worry about “re-education” - you ought to concern yourself with getting a sound basic education, especially in those areas of your pretend-expertise.”
I’ll do that if you give me advanced warning where you got your ‘education’. Then I’ll know which school to avoid.
<<<”“...It’s always about politics, and not about race or gender…”
V-E-R-Y naive”>>>
No, I would say very observant on my part; hence your ‘playing down’ of Obama’s and Sotomayor’s racism because of your support of their radical agendas. As I’ve said about your modus operandi - Anything for the Marxist agenda, no matter how weak and misleading a defense you must provide for the indefensible elements of the radical faction of the Democrat party. That includes your reprehensible defense of that ‘sleazebag to end all sleazebags’, Ted (the swimmer) Kennedy.
Your paranoiac supposition that racism is the motive behind any Republican white person’s legitimate criticism of any left-wing minority racist statements and/or affiliations with racist organizations, to me, is indicative of an extremist ideologue.
Your ‘historic’ perspective of race in this country which you attempt to justify your paranoia of white Republicans/Conservatives with, is another exercise in deflecting away from Obama’s and Sotomayor’s racism. One has nothing to do with the other.

Re: Post 88;
Sounds like you’ve already been happily ensconced in some ideological “re-education camp” for many, many years already! And good luck managing your own prejudices, biases and predispositions - and enjoy your trip on that silly merry-go-round-and-round-and-round of yours.
P.S.
Looks like you’ve already done a pretty good job of “avoiding school” - so just keep on doing what your doing! And, as always, don’t ever let the facts or logic get in the way of your pretend expertise!

Re: #89 - <<<“Looks like you’ve already done a pretty good job of “avoiding school” - so just keep on doing what your doing!”>>>
Unfortunately, I was a victim of government-run public education in my youth. Thankfully, the political edification I’ve experienced over the recent years has transformed my profile from unwitting ‘Neocon conservative’, to paleo-conservative, and finally fine-tuned into a paleo-libertarian.

Post 90:
Neo-conned, with what TK has told me, he was never able to make it to a Higher Education College. He also told me as while a Marine Reservist and afterwards, he had “Low Level Clearance to the Pentagon” <guffawing>.
TK said: “If you don’t think “politics” and “race” in this country are almost inextricably connected - you, first, ought to do some reading on the history of politics in this country in the period following the Civil War - to see just how tightly-bound politics and race were.”
TK, answer this; “What was Lincoln’s main cause of the Civil War…without looking anything up, I want to know what YOU think?”
What city were most all “Slaves” sold?
Hint, it was above the Mason Dixon Line.
You cannot compare Democrats and Republicans based on the first 100 years of history, as to what they stand for today.
Which Race shows the most Racism, and are taught to be that way by their parents?
What Party is the most Racist/Unfair in Government?
Which Race are the least protections by the Government?
The real question here is what you believe, and what the real truth is…
First of all TK, You are NOT always correct in your assumptions, as much as you ‘think’ you are. Despite your continued unfounded allegations about people who do not agree with you, there is also a tendency for you to blame others for what you had been caught at first.
YOU are the one who always changes the subject from the topic, do an AIM Search on you User ID and you will find that to be a fact in 98% of all instances.
You are the first to start Name Calling when someone does not agree with your often times misguided and incorrect assumptions/statements. Not to mention you are horrible at prognostications. You are very good at deflection, just as equally partisan as anyone I have seen or heard.
In earlier posts, you claim absolutely no Party affiliation, you said were an Independent and that you wrote in your vote for President, now all of a sudden you are a Libertarian. I several posts you make here, you come off as a hard core Republican, so which is it, really. Look deep into yourself and find out what is REALLY bothering you, somehow I think Politics is not what makes you who you are; there is something beneath all the hate you espouse towards others.
If you do not believe that “re-education” is happening, you are on another planet.
Every morning, Tucker Carlson…who has made the transition to Fox News, just as Lou Dobbs wishes to do, but there are no time slots at this time for a full time show for him. Tucker Carlson has been going through the new children’s text books to observe the speech police, these are just a sample of one such example of the many he has already debunked in higher education, but this goes to the heart of children as to the PC they are being indoctrinated into:
*Banned in Children’s Text books:
*Poor – Replaced with “Living in poverty” or “Living below the poverty line”
*Homeless – Replaced with “Persons without homes”
*Deaf - Already other words to describe
*Minority – Replaced with “Historically underrepresented group”
*Teenager – Replaced with “Adolescents”
*Able-bodied – Replaced with “Person who is non-disabled”
*American/Americans – Replaced with “People/Persons of the United States
And just one small sample, he does 5 to 10 of these per day.

Post 90, in regard to my Post 91:
“What was Lincoln’s main cause of the Civil War…without looking anything up, I want to know what YOU think?”
The single largest Slave Traders/Sellers were based in New York.
The Civil War began when the lower 13 States rightfully and constitutionally seceded from the Union with just cause. The government under Lincoln took advantage of Southerners by paying them below market prices for goods sold, and higher taxes than those in the North. Lincoln was concerned he would lose the tax revenue from the South, southerners were not respected or liked by most northerners and were taken advantage of…
The Northerners were losing support for the Civil War, base on secession, so Lincoln made it all about Race. But before he could make the claim, he had to get rid of his hoard of slaves, as did all politicians, and the rich…yes sir, there was racism and Slave Owners in the North.
The other reason was when the 13 states seceded; the Northern President lost cheap crops, also tax revenues. Lincoln told them they could keep their Slaves if they would re-join the Union. The fact is, most Black people were treated so well, when offered freedom, they did not want it, there was nothing out there for them to do for a living, plus many had become attached to a nice place to stay, at least three meals per day, most were treated at the owners doctors for free. When those who the Southerners who voluntarily released before the war, found they could not find jobs in the North, where they lived in more poverty, and most wanted to go back to where they were treated well, and earned their place for free living, food, Black women had attachments to the owners (if that is what you wish to call them), were taken very good care of, they were even allowed to build and attend their own churches, with pastors they wanted and chose them by votes. Southern Blacks were helped by their ex-owners when freed and given their own land to build communities. Many of which are still around to this day.
As for the KKK, in the beginning the quotient was about 50/50 southern and northern members. There were racists on both sides.
Blacks who wanted to stay in the South, fought alongside white men. In the North, the Blacks were forced into all Black battalions, they were never helped when in trouble, they were never recognized by the United States…As opposed to white battalions, and the Blacks had their mandatory uniforms taken from their pay, which was already less than what the white soldiers were making. Even after the war, they could not get jobs in the North, many moved back to the South to get farm jobs; at least they had some income, where they were paid a fair wage.
I am not saying there were not Racists in the South, but there were also Racists in the North. Not that either were right in taking that position, but real Racism appeared rampant in the South in more modern times.
Who is the only person in Government who held Office was a former KKK Grand Master?
Democrat - Robert Byrd.
The President assures everyone that AARP is on board with his proposed Universal Health Care Plan, however, Tom Nelson (COO) and the CEO have come on the air to say emphatically, that they want noting to do with ObamaCare, so who is lying?
AARP note released yesterday afternoon quoted as saying;
“Indications that we have endorsed any of the major Health Care reform Bills currently under consideration in Congress are factually inaccurate.”
We all know that AARP is a left leaning organization who contributes to Democrats, yet supports Senior Citizens, which will fall by the wayside if Obama’s plan (which he admits to have never read as of Monday). We have no way of knowing the truth on this one.
While pushing his Health Care Plan, Obama re-quoted the phrase, “Judge a man by the company he keeps”. Bad choice of words for this president…but if one were to take a detailed view of who is around him on this plan, you need to look to the roots of the Health Care plan, beginning with the Czars TK thought was a stupid thing to argue about, now they are making policy without the supervision of the House. Anyone who works closely with the President, must be vetted and approved by Congress. Especially if one were to look into the background of these Czars, and see what you find.
In addition to the current 45 Czars, the President has made room for 7 more, which will be:
1. Income Redistribution Czar: Not appointed yet.
2. Consumer Financial Protection Czar, aka Mortgage Czar: Not appointed yet
3. Land-Use Czar: Not appointed yet.
4. Radio-Internet Fairness Czar: Not appointed yet.
5. Student Loan Czar: Not appointed yet.
6. Voter List Czar: Not appointed yet.
7. Zoning Czar: Not appointed yet.
The Czars are listed here along with their actual titles and job descriptions:
http://noisyroom.net/blog/2009/07/22/obamas-czars-listing-update-072209
New soaring National Deficit defies forecasts. It seems as though Obama has been constantly borrowing money from other countries and not reporting who or how much, however today we learned of $75 Billion Loan.

More Children’s Text book changes from Tucker Carlson this morning:
In Christian teachings in public schools where allowed;
*Adam and Eve has been replaced with “Eve and Adam, and it was Adam who force Eve to take a bite of the Apple”
*Grandfather Clause – Replaced with “Retroactive Coverage”
*Sportsmanship was taken out due to the word “man” – Replaced with “Sporting Conduct”
*Elderly and Senior Citizens - Replaced with “Older Persons”
*Jungle – Replaced with “Rain Forrest” or “Savannah”

Re: Post 91;
Your statement:
“...Neo-conned, with what TK has told me, he was never able to make it to a Higher Education College. He also told me as while a Marine Reservist and afterwards, he had “Low Level Clearance to the Pentagon” <guffawing>...”
Just another of the LIES and MISREPRESENTATIONS you continually post in this forum.
(I’ve told you about my higher education more than once in posts on this forum - and more than once you’ve insisted on the Marine thing - which is another falsehood which you persist in repeating. Apparently, you’re just an inveterate liar.)

Re: Post 90;
You know, based on the philosophical meanderings you post, seemingly often taken from Rockwell, Rothbard and Von Mises - you really seem to be nothing more than a garden-variety ANARCHIST or, giving you the benefit of the doubt and in the most moderate of senses that might apply to you, you would seem to be a CLASSICAL philosophical LIBERAL in the Thoreau mode. (???)
Frankly, in my own “practical” opinion, “Anarchists” are no better than “Communists” and BOTH are on the RADICAL, extreme “LEFT” on the political spectrum. Furthermore, from my own “pragmatic”, real-world perspective, your political “paleo-conservative” or “paleo-libertarian” persuasion is about as practically realistic as is the concept of all of us finding “heaven on earth”.
And it’s far from me to be able to understand how someone chasing after an anarchist-style philosophy of government and a classically liberal economic system would “defend” today’s REPUBLICANS. (???)
In any event, “book smartness” in “theoretical” and/or “philosophical” concepts of the type you profess doesn’t seem to be very relevant to the real-world politics of the day (nor to the pro and con discussion thereof).
I’m more interested in practical and pragmatic solutions to the political problems of a nation with an increasingly diverse population of 305 million which may no longer be in possession of an economy that can effectively support the rapidly increasing population. (I am very “conservative” in terms of holding traditional social and cultural values - but today’s “real” problems in this country are wholly involved in the realms of economics and politics - NOT social and cultural values.)
And, of course, history also clearly shows that although you may be an ANTI-government believer in “individuality” with every one off and “doing their own self-expressive thing” in the Thoreau and/or Any Rand mode - the reality is that mankind has exhibited no widespread nor lasting ability to live without some form of social or political organization that directly provides for some modicum of order, stability and predictability.
In the end, if I’m a pragmatist and you’re a theorist, then we probably have nothing to talk about.

Re: Post 92;
A simple listing of the more ludicrous of your statement in your Post 92:
+ “...The single largest Slave Traders/Sellers were based in New York…”
+ “...The Civil War began when the lower 13 States rightfully and constitutionally seceded from the Union with just cause…”
+ “...The fact is, most Black people were treated so well, when offered freedom, they did not want it, there was nothing out there for them to do for a living, plus many had become attached to a nice place to stay, at least three meals per day, most were treated at the owners doctors for free…”
+ “...We all know that AARP is a left leaning organization who contributes to Democrats, yet supports Senior Citizens, which will fall by the wayside if Obama’s plan (which he admits to have never read as of Monday)...”
(Note: AARP is essentially an insurance marketing organization that is, obviously and consequently, tied in to Big Insurance and, therefore, to Big Business.)
+ “...While pushing his Health Care Plan, Obama re-quoted the phrase, “Judge a man by the company he keeps”...”
(Note: Would you care to footnote this quote and provide substantive, first-hand evidence of your veracity here?)
+ “...the Czars ... now they are making policy without the supervision of the House…”
(Note: As though YOU or any other GOPs would give any credibility to “supervision by the House”!)

Your increasingly bizarre fabrications and fantasies are making it more and more useless for ANYONE to believe in a single thing you post - or to waste their time attempting to responsibly respond to you or your hallucinatory posts.
P.S.
You sure have one warped view of the factualities of the Civil War and slavery - and, apparently, the origins and existence of racism in this country. But then, again, judging by your posts, you have warped views on a lot of things!
Your Posts 91 and 92 have transcended “simply outlandish” and have fallen into the “purely disgusting” category.

TK, if you think so, then prove what I have written is false by using unmitigating substantiated facts, of which you have yet to accomplish.
I thought so, if you were truly a Libertarian, you would not object to facts and opinions.
As a Libertarian, are you in favor of the Liberals telling you what you can or cannot say or do? I only ask due to the fact that is exactly where we are at, right at this moment. Do you really believe the Elitists President, Speaker, Steny Hoyer, Harry Reid, just to name a few are honest people who are telling us the truth?
With polls released regarding the Health Care proposal is now:
Disapprove: 54%
Approve: 41%
Not sure: 5%
Fix the freaking Health Care we have, instate Tort Reform, give insurance to those who do not have it, and don’t give it to illegal aliens. Force Insurance companies to cover those with Pre-Existing conditions…it would be a third of what Obama wants to spend just this year alone, his way is over each year.
Hell, even France does not do that for illegals! We have Rules and Laws regarding immigration, yet the liberals do not like those rules, so they ignore them, try that the next time you get in your car and break the law.
There is more Terror chatter right now than there ever has been in this country, they smell the weakness in Government.
And if you do not believe AARP leans to the left, just take a look at the Campaign Donors Lists for as far back as you wish.
There was an investigation regarding Campaign Fraud regarding over $10 Million dollars being dispersed via the Internet to Obama. The inconsistencies were that it was one donor sending checks to people to donate, the FBI actually has evidence to this allegation, another was maximum Internet contributions were all traced back to the same IP Address using many different email addresses, it belonged to one person who had his own website which gave him up to 500 email addresses, but each one had the same IP and all had the same server address.
So explain to me why Eric Holder had the investigation stopped? He has been doing quite a lot of that lately, such as ACORN, CCI, SEIU…ect…Stopped by Holder along with the evidence.
The Supreme Court will hear a complaint as to Obama’s Czars are legal or not, it is not unusual to have one or two, but those past Presidents went through Congressional Approval, the back grounds on many of the current Czars have criminal records, and who the hell needs 52 Czars with more to come.
I have yet to hear you criticize or dispute the MSM, so that must be your main source, or those Communist sites such as the KOS, MeidaMatters and their brotherhood. I would trust the Mob over those sites.
Instead of believing what you read and hear from the MSM, try to broaden your horizons and seek the truth, you many just may be enlightened.

Re: Post 92;
Your Post 92 sounds like some redneck southerner’s one-sided and weak-minded rationale for justifying the Civil War combined with ridiculous excuse-making for slavery and the racism that followed it. It does not deserve any other detailed response from me. And, if that’s the kind of garbage you really believe - then there’s no point in anyone wasting their time trying to correct the fallacies you hold dear. You’re apparently an anti-Obama-ite; an anti-Democrat; an anti-Liberal; and, I would have to guess, an anti-northerner - in all things.
And for me:
I am NOT a Libertarian; I am NOT a Republican; I am NOT a Democrat; I am NOT a partisan of any single political philosophy - and despite your assessments - neither am I a Liberal or a Conservative. I have told you: I am a Traditionalist Independent - and I do most certainly agree with various INDIVIDUAL Libertarian, Republican, Democratic, Liberal AND Conservative precepts; I am pretty much socially and culturally conservative; and, I am a realist and, most often, a pragmatist in many things political. Plainly, I am non-ideological in the typical political sense.
Beyond that - I am opposed to extremism (in all things - but in this case, especially in retail politics) - and I am opposed to those who, lemming-like, march to the beat of some blind ideology - and those who use pure propaganda techniques to obscure, obstruct and obfuscate to justify their ideology - and those who purposely mislead, misinform and fabricate in an attempt to promote their ideology at the expense of another.

Re: #94 - <<<“Frankly, in my own “practical” opinion, “Anarchists” are no better than “Communists” and BOTH are on the RADICAL, extreme “LEFT” on the political spectrum. Anarcho-libertarianism, anarcho-communism, and anarcho-collectivism, would be a closer match to your above statement concerning the belief in anarchy.
Paleo-libertarianism advocates a very limited role for government such as what the Constitution called for.
As far as being ‘realistic’, the Constitution is a very real thing in itself. Why should I support, or try to work with, the ‘jalopy’ of state capitalism with its failed fiat monetary system and Keynesian economic policies which got us into the current financial mess that we’re in?
<<<“And it’s far from me to be able to understand how someone chasing after an anarchist-style philosophy of government and a classically liberal economic system would “defend” today’s REPUBLICANS. (???)”>>>
My ‘defense of today’s Republicans’ was limited to defending them against your racist smears against them when they legitimately criticize Obama and Sotomayor.

#97:
TK, you failed to address my post #96, you had already addressed my post #92…Is it because I am correct…again.
But for the record, I got the civil war information from a native New Yorker Author who has spent most of his life studying the subject.
He also found documents where Sherman was to be executed for what he did to non War citizens, such as burning down Savannah or anyone in his path to the coast, and killing women and children. Also for allowing Southern soldiers amnesty, after giving the volunteers who took advantage of his offer, as soon as they laid their rifles down, all 38 eight of them were executed. Nice fellow, huh?
As for the afore mentioned (in another thread) new poll numbers on Obama’s overall:
Approval: 47%
Disapproval: 52%
Can be found half way down the page at:

Re: Post 98;
a.) “...Anarcho-libertarianism, anarcho-communism, and anarcho-collectivism, would be a closer match to your above statement concerning the belief in anarchy…”
My point is: it doesn’t matter what “fringe” one is out on. Extreme political philosophies of all persuasions are deleterious to effective governance in this country - and any “utopian” elements therein are nothing but pipe dreams.
b.) “...Paleo-libertarianism advocates a very limited role for government such as what the Constitution called for…”
Most reasonable people understand that the U.S. Constitution, as are most such documents, is open to interpretation - that there may be as many interpretations as there are interpreters - and that the range of those interpretations can run from those that might be called “strict” to those that might be called “broad”.
c.) “...My ‘defense of today’s Republicans’ was limited to defending them against your racist smears against them when they legitimately criticize Obama and Sotomayor…”
Historically, the most racist people in this country have lived in the states that are today often called the “Red” states, which include the slave states of the Old South. Whereas those people, historically, might have once preferred to align themselves with the Democratic Party as “Dixiecrats” - they switched en masse to the Republican Party during the so-called civil rights and integration era of the 1960s. At that time, then, the white racism against blacks that did exist was, in fact, existent mostly among southern whites - who were typically politically aligned with the Republican Party at that time - and who, in turn, were very inimical to the Democratic Party because of its role in ending segregation.
Consequently, there’s DEFINITELY a history of racism in the modern GOP - and as someone who has lived in a once “confederate” and now VERY “Red” state for many years - EVERY racist I’ve ever known, including neighbors, business associates and casual acquaintances - UP UNITL RIGHT NOW - has been a staunch Republican! So, if you want to deny the most recent political history of racism in this country, go ahead.
Further, though, and without any doubt, there is DEFINITELY some amount of racism at play among those who are vehemently and virulently anti-Obama - and, at least in my experience, in my area of my southern state, many of those who are particularly vitriolic and hateful in that regard ARE very partisan Republicans.
So, if you insist on accusing ME of “racist smears” because YOU don’t accept the existence and history of racism in this country, go ahead.
(And, of course, on the other side of that coin, would you excuse the rabblerouser-for-money, Limbaugh, for his repeated references to Obama as “a racist who hates white people”?)
And, again, it would have to be either pure partisanship or abject refusal to acknowledge reality for you to insist there is ABSOLUTELY no racism at play among the vitriolic and venomous criticisms of Sotomayor.
It would seem obvious that the great majority of those who are critical of Obama and Sotomayor are NOT racists; but it is equally obvious that among those who are most vehemently opposed to each (especially among those whose criticisms are clearly specious), there is every likelihood that old-style racism is a factor (e.g., see contemporary “white supremicist groups”, etc.).
Not “everybody” who criticizes Obama (or anyone else, for that matter) has a “legitimate” reason.

Re: Post 99;
I already informed you several days ago that I do not have the time - nor the inclination - to respond to ALL of your ramblings - they are often excessively long and disconnected - often incoherent or incomprehensible to me - often on topics or subjects in which I have no or little interest - and often because they are too outlandish. (Your “explanations” of the Civil War and slavery are outlandish.)
Public opinion surveys on Obama are not much different than they were for Bush 43 on his same day in office - and - Bush 43 had approval ratings BELOW 50% (and as low as 31%) for a few year’s worth of his two terms. Beyond that, as with Bush 43, Obama has at least 3 1/2 years more in office - REGARDLESS of his approval ratings.
(Note: I happened to have acquaintance with Rasmussen and his Father going back almost 30 years ago when the old man was finagling investors while trying to start-up “ESPN” - and when the younger (now the pollster) was said to have ripped off investors and broken federal laws in trying to finance a start-up “ESPN Radio”. In any event - BOTH were rabid, partisan Republicans and appealed to other wealthy rabid GOPs and alleged “big businessmen” to cobble together the “other people’s monies” to finance their various ventures. The old man later ran into serious political and legal problems in Florida - and the son bailed out of “politically-connected” “development activities” and into public opinion polling. Both Rasmussen’s are/were about as reliably politically objective as you are.)
P.S.
Over the past year-and-a-half, I think I agreed that you were “correct” on something in your hundreds-upon-hundreds of posts - twice. And, I was probably mistaken myself both times!

TK (post #100) <<<“Most reasonable people understand that the U.S. Constitution, as are most such documents, is open to interpretation - that there may be as many interpretations as there are interpreters - and that the range of those interpretations can run from those that might be called “strict” to those that might be called “broad”.”>>>
That explains it all!
The old “it’s a living document” argument.
If that were the case, then the American Revolution and signing of the Constitution would have been a needless waste of time. We could have just as easily remained under George III’s rule, if oppressive central authority was what we desired all along.
Heck, the average citizen these days works about 6 months out of the year for the existing government monstrosity that resulted from such ‘reasonable’ interpretations of the Constitution.
<<<“My point is: it doesn’t matter what “fringe” one is out on. Extreme political philosophies of all persuasions are deleterious to effective governance in this country”>>>
If you don’t think we’re already living under an “extreme political philosophy”, then there’s nothing I could say that would change your perspective. The founding fathers would be absolutely shocked and dismayed over the current size of our government, along with our socialist economic policy, fiat monetary system, and global hegemony.
<<<“And, of course, on the other side of that coin, would you excuse the rabblerouser-for-money, Limbaugh, for his repeated references to Obama as “a racist who hates white people”?>>>
Considering Obama’s 20 year affiliation with a racist black minister, I would say that Limbaugh was right on the mark.
Any white Republican who had the same affiliations with a racist white minister wouldn’t need a left-wing talk show host to call that person a racist; the MSM would have taken care of that themselves.
As for the rest of your opinion about the ‘history of racism in this country’ and how it relates to any legitimate criticisms made by White Republicans/Conservatives at those two radical comrades, Obama and Sotomayor - You’re just trying to deflect from the Absolute Proof that exists in words/associations of those two ungrateful, spoiled, reprehensible individuals.
I don’t know of any right-wing poster here who has said anything racist such as Sotomayor did, or who has indicated that they have affiliations with racist churches or other such organizations. All you can do is attempt to tie in present-day whites who are critical of Obama’s and Sotomayor’s apparent racism, with people who are long gone.
And by the way, all races of people have racists within their populations; and I would argue, in similar percentages of their populations as in the white population of any era. I have had my experiences as well as you having had your experiences, as well as anyone else in this forum having theirs.
You can argue otherwise, but in the end, neither one of us is capable of delving into each individual’s heart in this country to find out the true percentage of racism in various ethnic populations.
The only problem today, is that racism among minorities is explained away, or ignored, by the media and by the politicians.
Such a double-standard will only tend to keep this country more divided, which is what the power structure of both parties and the media, want.
‘Divide and Conquer’ - a most effective method in helping to usher us into a world government of serfdom.

Wes,and Neo Conned,
Have been keeping up with the posts, and with the information and websties that you have shared, as well as with the news on FOX and talk radio; as well as working over time lately. Glenn Beck has certainly had some interesting and informative shows this past week. Seems he is never afraid to report anything. Too bad the rest of the media is not that way.
Also went to town hall meeting last Monday, which went well. But that is because we have a conservative congressmen who doesn’t want socialized health care. There were only a few people there (those wanting a Nanny State) who called us “Un-American”.
I remember an article last year about “The Racist History of The Demorcratic Party”, by Wayne Perryman (an inner city minister ). He also wrote the book : Unfounded Loyalty, which I read and found most interesting. He stated in the article that history reveals that every piece of racist legislation that was ever passed and every racist terrorist attack that was ever inflicted on African Americans, was initiated by the members of The Democratic Party.
He wrote that congressional records show that it was Democrats that strongly opposed the passage of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amdendments. These three amendments were introduced by The Republicans to abolish slavery, give citizenship to all African Americans born in the U.S. and , give blacks the right to vote.
Congressional records show that Democrats were opposed to passing the following laws that were introduced by Repulicans to achieve civil rights for African Americans :
Civil Rights Act 1886
Reconstruction Act of 1867
Freedman Bureau Extenstion Act of 1866
Enforcement Act of 1870
Force Act of 1871
Ku Klux Klan Act of 1875
Civil Rights Act of 1957
Civil Rights Act of 1960
And during the 60’s many Democrats fought hard to defeat the :
1964 Civil Rights Act
1965 Voting Rights Act
1972 Equal Employment Opportunity Act
I thought it was interesting also to read that President Clinton sent 20,0000 troops to protect the white citizens of Europe’s Bosnia , but sent no troops to Africa’s Rwanda to protect the black citizens there. Consequently over 800,000 Africans were massacred.
During the 2003 Democratic Primary debates, the Rev Al Sharpton , said “the Democrats take the black vote for granted and treat African Americans like a mistress. The Democrats will take us to the dance , but they don’t want to take us home to meet mama.”
On Dec 3,2002, President Clinton spoke to Demorcratic Leadership Council in New York regarding the future of the Democratic party and how they could retake the White House. At no time did he address Civil Rights issues for blacks or doing things to improve the conidtions of African Americans. His only reference to Civil Rights was Civil Rights for Gays. His only reference to improving communities was his recommendation to revisit the Marshall Plan to re-build communities in other countries. His entire speech was on C-Span.
Wayne Perryman went on to say :
After exclusively giving the Democrats their votes for the past 25 years , the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today. COngressional records show that all previous legislation (since 1964) had strong bi-partisan support, even though some Democrats debated and voted against these laws.
After reviewing all of the evidence, many believe America would have never experienced racism to the degree that it has, had not the Democrats promoted through :
Racist Legislation
Terrorist Organizations
Negative Media Communications
Bias Education
Relentless Intimidation
And Flawed Adjudication
Wayne Perryman continues :
The racism established and promoted by members of the Democratic Party affected and infected the entire nation from 1856 with the Dred Scott decision , to the 1954 Brown v.Board of Education case. But they never offered or issued an apology.
Today both parties must remember their past. The Democrats must remember the terrible things they did to Blacks and apologize and the Republicans must remember the terrific things that they did for Blacks and re-commit to complete the work that their predecessors started and died for.
And I was just thinking , didn’t Bush do more for the people in Africa than any other President in history ? Isn’t it interesting that the Democrats would prefer that people forget these things, or do not learn about these things ?? It’s such a shame !
Well, back to work. Thanks once again for all the great informatioin and websites. I really do appreciate them.
And as far as tk goes, I think you are dealing with a narcissitic personality who gets “high” on argueing. (Much like a drug addict needs drugs every day, tk needs to argue or to find fault to get “high’. He just loves to disagree no matter what ! <lol> And he changes his mind about his politics on a weekly basis. Last week he claimed to a Libertarian, and this week he claims to be an Indpendent again, as I am sure that everyone has noticed. He even argues with himself ! <lol> He is rather amusing. And then when he gets upset, he has to use to insults and call people names. I can imagine that when he is out on the roads, that he believes he is the only good driver and that everyone else is “nutty.” <lol>
Have a good weekend ! <smile>
PS ....There was a lot more to that article by Wayne Perryman on the internet. I imagine that you guys have already read all of it, however; as you guys seem to be on top of everything which is newsworthy. You guys are awesome !

Post 101:
TK, “I happened to have acquaintance with Rasmussen and his Father going back almost 30 years ago… / ...Both Rasmussen’s are/were about as reliably politically objective as you are.)”
<Laughing> It seems you “always know someone who…” This is what now, the fourth time you claim you know or know someone who…yada, yada, yada. I believe you have a serious problem keeping your stories strait, fact.
I have seen that crap on unproven web sites for years, you took part of the truth and skewed or found a Liberal site who does not agree or like Rasmussen.
The facts are that Rasmussen was exposed to the broadcasting business through his father, Bill Rasmussen, who had worked for radio stations and was a communications director for the New England Hartford Whalers ice hockey team.
In 1979, Scott and Bill Rasmussen founded ESPN, the cable television, the cable sports network (including radio).
Their stake in ESPN was bought out by Texaco in 1984.
Do you have any idea at all how strict the SEC is, they investigate all newly formed business, or even companies who buy businesses.
I should know, I was one of many who had to deal with them while at my former company, just our division alone purchased 83 of their outsourced contractors ,competitors, and companies we could benefit from. Along with each purchase we had approval from our President via the Company’s CEO and Bord of Directors before each purchase. Once we began and the offer accepted, while our Permanent on-site Lawyers would work out the legal matters. We obviously had to do due diligence of all assets, the Company’s inventories, we also did our own, then balanced the two and any disparities were noted and would be included/excluded in the sale. Our Auditors would make sure depreciation’s were accurate, then confirmed by an independent Auditing Agency.
Before any purchase was actually made, the SEC would send their people out to do investigations before the sale could be approved.
When I read your post yesterday, I called the SEC (I asked for a lady we had used often, she was still working there, but had advanced in position) and requested legal documentation under the Freedom of Information Act, I receive my fax this morning. The SEC found no illegalities or irregularities before or after the Corporation was founded, as was true with the sale to Texaco.
I was surprise at how quickly the information was sent, (she was still familiar with who I was, but never told her I was no longer with the company…an omission, if asked, I would have told her) but when I received the fax, I could tell these documents were computer generated, not to mention there were some things redacted. The records did not go all the way to the ABC purchase of ESPN.
If you do not believe me, just call the SEC and request the documents under the FOIA.
Other than the Rasmussen Poll, Gallup came up with the same results.
Most Media outlets say Rasmussen puts out nothing but trustworthy quality with unparalleled accuracy (From the Washington Post). If that were not true, would the MSM use their polling?
I really am amazed at what you are willing and unwilling to believe.

Diane…Post 103:
Outstanding read and getting to the facts, few if anyone can successfully argue with Perryman he does so much research. I have his book, “Unfounded Loyalty” where he states that Democrats do not love Black’s so much as they love their votes. In his books he always makes notes to back up what he writes, pages and pages of them. It makes disputing his word undeniable, although they have attacked his writings, but cannot disprove anything due to his obvious research included.
You are without a doubt that President Bush is the only American President to send aid and money to help Africans, especially in Darfur. He also sent $200 Million in aide to help fight terrorism.
Even the Washington Post gave him praise for Bush’s work in Africa, from the WaPo:
Bush Has Quietly Tripled Aid to Africa
By Michael A. Fletcher
Washington Post Staff Writer
December 31, 2006
President Bush’s legacy is sure to be defined by his wielding of U.S. military power in Afghanistan and Iraq, but there is another, much softer and less noticed effort by his Administration in foreign affairs: a dramatic increase in U.S. aid to Africa.
The president has tripled direct humanitarian and development aid to the world’s most impoverished continent since taking office and recently vowed to double that increased amount by 2010.
The moves have surprised—and pleased—longtime supporters of assistance for Africa, who note that because Bush has received little
support from African American voters, he has little obvious political incentive for his interest.
Senior fellow Steve Radelet is quoted in this Washington Post article highlighting the Bush Administration’s major increases in aid to Africa.
“I think the Bush administration deserves pretty high marks in terms of increasing aid to Africa,” said Steve Radelet, a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development.
Bush has increased direct development and humanitarian aid to Africa to more than $4 billion a year from $1.4 billion in 2001,
according to the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. And four African nations—Sudan, Ethiopia, Egypt and Uganda—rank among the world’s top 10 recipients in aid from the United States.
Beyond increasing aid to Africa, Bush has met with nearly three dozen African heads of state during his six years in office. He visited
Africa in his first term, and aides say he hopes to make a return visit next year.
Although some activists criticize Bush for not doing more to end the ongoing genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan, others credit him
for playing a role in ending deadly conflicts in Liberia, the Congo and other parts of Sudan.
Meanwhile, Bush has overseen a steady rise
in U.S. trade with Africa, which has doubled since 2001. Those activists were unaware Bush had sent aid, money, increased the Military to help in Darfur. It is obvious to me that Bush did not do this for notoriety, but from his heart.
“He should be known for increasing—doubling development assistance and tripling it to Africa after a period in which U.S. development assistance was essentially flat for decades,” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a recent interview with the Associated Press. “He should be known for the largest single investment in AIDS and malaria, the biggest health investment of any government program ever.”
Bush launched his $1.2 billion malaria initiative in June 2005 with the goal of reducing malaria-related deaths in 15 African countries by 50 percent. The disease kills more than 1 million people a year, most of them African children under age 5.
The malaria program complements the president’s largest global health initiative, the $15 billion, five-year plan known as the President’s
Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Under the program, about 800,000 Africans are receiving drugs that enable them to live longer with the disease and help to prevent mother-to-child transmission of the virus.
“We launched one of the most important initiatives in American history, as far as I’m concerned, and that is the Emergency Plan for
AIDS Relief,” Bush said at a recent conference on malaria.
PEPFAR, which often funds programs through religious organizations, has come under criticism for promoting faith-based ideology over science, emphasizing abstinence programs and giving inaccurate information about the effectiveness of condoms in preventing HIV transmission. Payne says such concerns have been allayed in recent years, and he and others credit PEPFAR with saving hundreds of thousands of lives.
The Bush administration’s efforts in Africa have dovetailed with a rise in aid to Africa from private groups, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as loan forgiveness from organizations such as the World Bank and stepped-up assistance from other countries, including Britain and France.
“I think [increasing aid to Africa] will be one of the things the president is most proud of when he leaves office,” Gerson said. “It doesn’t
fit the preconception, the caricature that the president somehow has a preference for using the blunt instruments of force in international
affairs when in fact on a variety of topics, the president has been a root-cause thinker in an unexpected way.”
—————
In 2007, he gave even more aid to Darfur.
Bush 43 was never one to brag on himself (unlike most of his predecessors), he did what he thought was true to his heart. Near the end of his Presidency, I just do not understand what happened to him to start TARP. Perhaps it was the agreement he had with both Obama and McCain near the final stages of the election.
Not to mention, he never lied that anyone could ever prove, and they tried. When he said he was going to do something, no one disputed that it would be done, and he kept Americans safe.

Re: Post 102;
One of your statements:
“...And by the way, all races of people have racists within their populations; and I would argue, in similar percentages of their populations as in the white population of any era…”
I agree. And - you confirm my point: Some of the anti-Obama, anti-Sotomayor sentiment (and, in some cases, obvious hatred of Obama and Sotomayor) is undoubtedly racially motivated.
And, another of your statements:
“... but in the end, neither one of us is capable of delving into each individual’s heart in this country to find out the true percentage of racism in various ethnic populations…”
I agree again. And - once again you confirm another of my points: There’s no way to conclusively determine that Obama and Sotomayor are racists - because we cannot “delve into their hearts” to conclusively make such a determination.
I do not agree with much else in your post.

Re: Post 104;
You’re just a jerk.
You have no knowledge whatsoever of my personal life, nor my life experiences. (And I do always “know someone”.)
BUT YOU? You NEVER know the “facts” about anyone or anything - you’re a slave to the “public relations spin” put out by the side you happen to be partial to.
Take note: Plenty of people in the greater Hartford, CT, and Naples, FL, areas have F-A-R less than glowing recollections of their interactions with and their observations of the Rasmussens.
And regardless of what you believe - my point was that BOTH were/are historically V-E-R-Y partisan GOPs and panderers and lapdogs to local GOP bigwigs - ESPECIALLY the old man who got into V-E-R-Y hot water involving political corruption revolving around a golf course development in southwest Florida in the ‘90s. In terms of my personal experience - I have no respect for either.

Re: Post 105;
So Bush 43’s aid to Africa excuses and makes amends for any and all Republicans who might ever have been or are racists?
And, of course, in your way of measuring things, John and Robert Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson did nothing as significant for the black people of America?
There’s still racism in America - and a lot of it emanates from the more rural areas of the so-called “Red” states and those states of the Old South. And, there’s no doubt that some of the anti-Obama sentiment (and outright hatred of Obama) is racist in nature.
And, while the Old South was predominantly Democratic and Dixiecrat in the pre-Civil Rights Era which began in the early 1960s (and obviously, back then, those Democrats/Dixiecrats supported segregation and racism) - following the civil rights movement fostered, especially, by the Kennedys, Lyndon Johnson and the northeastern base of the Democratic Party - the once “Solid South” of Democrats/Dixiecrats became the “Conservative”, “Bible Belt” and “Religious Right” base of the modern Republican Party.
So, historically, BOTH political parties have significant histories of supporting segregation and racism in this country. But - it was the Democratic Party which first saw the light and began initiating the necessary legislation and programs that helped end segregation and began to ameliorate the overt racism in the south.
BUT, NO ONE has ever accused Bush 43, Bush 41, Reagan, Ford, Nixon or Eisenhower - nor their administrations - of being “racist”. However, neither does that exonerate Republicans whose anti-Obamism might include a racial component.
The way partisan politics has degenerated, if some white fools like Limbaugh and Beck decide to start a racially-based pi**ing contest by calling Obama “a racist who hates whites” - then the other side is MOST CERTAINLY going to assert that some of GOP opposition is also “racist” and that they “hate Obama because he’s black”.
So - in the end - Charlie Manson finally gets his “Helter Skelter” race war - because of ignorant and extremist partisan politics and hot-button labeling and back-and-forth name-calling!
In the “old days” of the ‘60s protests - the word was “first it’s name-calling, then it’s property damage, then it’s killing!” It did seem to work out that way!

TK (#106) - In addressing my following statement- [but in the end, neither one of us is capable of delving into each individual’s heart in this country to find out the true percentage of racism in various ethnic populations]
Your response
<<<“I agree again. And - once again you confirm another of my points: There’s no way to conclusively determine that Obama and Sotomayor are racists - because we cannot “delve into their hearts” to conclusively make such a determination.”>>>
My statement pertained to those common folks as well as any public figures who have not revealed, through racist statements or racist affiliations, any proven racism on their part.
Since Obama attended a racist ‘reverend’s’ ‘sermons’ for many years and since Sotomayor made her racist “wise Latina” statement in public, those two without question, have racism in their hearts.

Re: Post 109
Your statement:
“...those two without question, have racism in their hearts…”
First of all, there is almost NOTHING that is “without question”.
Second, you’re the one that one who stated one “cannot tell” such a thing without “delving into their hearts” - which is what I agreed with.

TK (Re: #110) <<<“Second, you’re the one that one who stated one “cannot tell” such a thing without “delving into their hearts” - which is what I agreed with.”>>>
You are a deceptive weasel in the worst way.
Piss Off, you Obamabot, Marxist ideologue!

Back to Wayne Perryman, (an inner city minister) and author of Unfounded Loyalty. I was reading once again .....
History reveals that the Republican party was formed in 1854 to abolish slavery and challenge other racist legislative acts initiated by the Democratic Party.
Some called it the Civil War , others called it the War Between the States , but to the African Americans at that time, it was the war between the Democrats and Republicans over slavery. The Democrats gave their lives to expand it, and Republicans gave their lives to ban it completely.
During the Senate debates on the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, it was revealed that members of the Democratic party formed many terrorist organizations like the Ku Klux Klan to murder and intimidate African American voters. The Ku Klux Klan Act was a bill introduced by Republican Congress to stop the Klan actitivies. Senate debates revealed that the Klan was he terrorist arm of the Democratic Party !
History reveals that Democrats lynched, burned, mutilated and murdered thousands of black people and compltely destroyed entire towns and communiites occupied by middle class Blacks, including Rosewood, Florida, the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Wilmington, N.C. to name a few.
Afer the Civil war , Democrats murdered several hundred black elected officials (in the South) to regain control of the southern government. All of the elected officials up to 1935 were Republicans. As of 2004, the Democrat Party (the oldest political party in America) had never elected a black man to the United States Senate. The Republicans had elected three.
History reveals that it was Abolitionists and Radical Republicans such as Henry L. Morehouse and General Oliver Howard that started many of the traditional Black colleges, while Democrats fought to keep them closed ! Many of our traditional Black colleges are named after white Republicans.
Wayne Perryman also goes on to say ...
Today many white Democrats are opposed to paying African Americans trillions of dollars in Reparation Pay, money that sould be paid by the Democratic Party.

Re: Post 111;
Oh My Goodness! Just look at how “Little Miss Proper” has lost it!
I told you some time ago that you have an over-inflated idea of your own sense of logic and reason.
Obviously, when confronted with the truth of that circumstance, you totally degenerated into just another run-of-the-mill degenerate!
(Honestly - this is a much bigger laugh than I think we ever got from any of Wesley’s sillinesses and degenerations!)

Re: Post 112;
BUT - it was the NORTHERN Democrats who initiated the civil rights legislation of the ‘60s and who began the processes that lead to the end of southern segregation.
The political philosophies and the involvements with the politics of slavery, segregation and racism of both the Democratic and Republican parties changed drastically over the years from the 1850s through to today - as have the perspectives of the members of each party. Both parties share equal shame with regard to the historical plight of black people in this country.
The operative distinctions during the Civil War period and with regard to a lot of the history of slavery and segregation in this country is probably “Northerner” and “Southerner” rather than “Republican” and “Democrat”

Re: #113 - <<<“Oh My Goodness! Just look at how “Little Miss Proper” has lost it!”>>>
Your goal all along. Congratulations.
Maybe you’ll earn a bonus from the CPUSA
WARNING
Don’t confuse TK with any evidence or facts relating to his far-left, Marxists, racist idols in the Democrat party - his mind is already made up.
By the way, creep - How much do you get paid to infest this site with your saboteur tactics of undermining healthy debate here?
Or are you just a bitter, anti-American nebish who hates anyone to the right of Karl Marx??
A total lowlife goon and political moron, at that.
Hopefully, you’ll get kicked off this site soon.
In the meantime, it will be fun watching Wesley intellectually chop you down, as he always does.
Take a hike.

Diane - (re: post 112)
I think that Wesley touched on some great points as to the REAL motivation behind the Civil War.
The Republican/Democrat Establishment in concert with the MSM and public schools practically raised Lincoln to sainthood (which, coming from them, should raise anyone’s suspicions).
I have read some essays by Libertarian economist Thomas Dilorenzo who also authored the books “The Real Lincoln” and “Lincoln Unmasked”, which I just started reading.
His contention is that the War was fought to establish a permanent central government authority and was vehemently against states rights.
LewRockwell.com contains Dilorenzo’s archives where he wrote a number essays about Lincoln, slavery, and the Civil War.
Here are two of them -

Good posts everyone (but that TK guy who probably is getting paid $600.00 from the Government’s Offer on Craig’s List).
I am, and have always been in the “Real History” before it was either left out or changed in text books, from Grade School through Universities. There are groups all around the country called the “Preserving the Real History of the United States”, I am a charter member. Of all places in the U.S., Hillsboro, Tx. has the most comprehensive collection of both sides of the Civil War, included confiscation of orders from and to Generals; some of the most compelling part of the museum is the personal letters and journals from combatants on both sides of the Civil War. The public museum found in Gettysburg, much of the information found and investigate were found to be false, same as the museum at Appomattox.
The “Preserving the Real History of the United States” is not only about the War between the States, but all history of this country up to this very day, and will continue.
When we as Grade School students, we were also was taught the myth about George Washington chopping down the “Cherry Tree”. Okay so the myth had a good point about Honesty, there were other ways to get the message across rather than using real historical people.
Later in life, I took a huge interest in History. It is odd that the Union formed the first regiment of soldiers of all Blacks (never integrated such as the South did), but they put all the Black Soldiers in front of their Regiments so they would take the brunt of the upcoming onslaught. What does that fact tell you about the Union and Lincoln and his Generals? They actually gave them a Death Sentence, those who were not killed fled. There are several letters found from these Black Soldiers who were speaking of going back to the South, where many of their Kin Folk were, and joined the Confederates to fight equally with white and black soldiers. Many in the Confederacy welcomed them as one of their own. After the war, they were paid an equal wage to do farm work rather than as slave work.
As TK challenged me as to where slave trading originated, the North pick up on what the British were doing before and during the Revolutionary War for Independence. Since most all crop were coming from the South, obviously for the extra laborers to work the fields, mainly Cotton, Wheat, Corn, Fruits, Vegetables, and so many others which would not grow in the North, or for only a few months, whereas they grew for longer periods of time, with much more farmland, which the South grew more than they could use, the rest were sold to the Northern States, at below market prices.
The North also would not allow Universities to be built in the South, not to mention that Government funds were never given to the South.
The way they were being treated by the Yankees, I can understand why they wanted and did secede from the Union. At first the Southerners were getting fair market prices for their crops for the first time. The South also built their own Universities.
It was at this time the Government demanded the South return to the Union, but no incentives were ever offered, and would only end up in poverty again…That is when Lincoln declared war on the South, and pitted families against each other, rather than make them a fair offer, and the War began. Even though the North had a mandatory age military draft, they had better equipment and were better organized, yet the result of the war came down to a single battle.
I do not have any doubt that the South evolved into a more Racist society, but Racism was still rampant in the North, in fact the North were the last of the States to integrate schools when it was mandated.
However I am strongly against Reparations to Blacks 230 years later, I assure you no one in my family ever own a Black person, nor do I agree with what many call “Native Americans” Reparations. First of all, the American Indians made their way to North America from Asia; therefore logic maintains they were NOT native to this land. From my Mother’s side of the family, I am more than one quarter Indian, that according to the Government I quality as a so-called Native American, which should give me Government protections and even the right to own Casinos, even though they are not allowed in the State of Texas.
It is only the Democrats who are the only ones in either House who has a member who was once a Grand Master of the KKK, Robert Byrd. So explain why it is only Democrats who always use the Race Card?

Post 107:
Your first reply to me was “You’re just a jerk.” Oh, how very enlightening of you to use a slur when, you should increase your vocabulary…I can take your insults all day long, and they will NEVER bother me in the least coming from someone so filled with hate.
You are a Profilers dream, you are so easy to read that tells more about you than anything, it is in the way to speak, I am sure everyone agrees, it does not take much else.
As for Crooks, are you aware Bernie Madoff is a Democrat: the most corrupt party ever.
Post 108:
TK said: “So Bush 43’s aid to Africa excuses and makes amends for any and all Republicans who might ever have been or are racists?
And, of course, in your way of measuring things, John and Robert Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson did nothing as significant for the black people of America?”
LBJ would have never gotten that Bill passed without the massive support of Republicans, not to mention LBJ also Stepped on JFK’s deal to get the hell out of Vietnam, which led to the massacre of Americans in a war we were never asked to be a part of nor had an interest in, we first went there to help Australians, who left shortly after the Americans arrived. It took Nixon to pull the troops out, but not before the melee in the south as we were leaving the Country.
It was Johnson’s war, a war which could have easily been won much, much quicker had he given the troops what they needed to win, but that would have shortened the war, and that was not what LBJ and Westmoreland wanted.
In so doing, he caused the killing of the Kent State Students, and caused the Counter Coulter in the USA forever.

Back to something regarding the article above.
It is painfully obvious that the White House wants to see Glenn Beck taken down; he is getting too close to the truth, which would implicate Obama, many on his cabinet, and most of his Czars. Of these organizations, he was the first to find the connection between ACORN, CCI, and SEIU Local 100. All of ACORNs donations go through an old converted funeral home on Elysian Fields Rd. in New Orleans, also the home of the above mentioned groups.
This so called “Office Building” has 252 Organizations, it is no larger than a typical old two story home, in the main hall are 400 P.O. Boxes which seem to the main mailing address for all these companies, there are no actual businesses run out of this Office Building, except those who were once occupied by Wayne and Wade Rathke, founders of ACORN until Wade Rathke was caught embezzling a almost a Billion Dollars of ACORN and Union money.
Wade Rathke is the co-founder of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 100. He was ACORN’s chief organizer from its founding in 1970 until he stepped down June 2, 2008. He is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Social Policy, a quarterly magazine for scholars and activists, and he is the author of two books published in 2009.
Info on Wade Rathke:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wade_Rathke
Under the FOIA, Beck found that Obama donated $800,000.00 to ACORN; the check went to the Elysian Fields address. Many of the Companies running out of that Office have been found to be Shell Companies. This was found out when Beck called Governor Bobby Jindal to investigate that is when some of these companies seemed to disappear. Jindal is keeping the investigation quiet for now.
FYI TK, Beck is, and always has been a Libertarian; you should read his book “Common Sense” which also contains Thomas Paine’s original Common Sense from 1776/1777 in the back of his book.
Palin talking about Death Panels (which were in the ObamaCare bill) and told people which page they could find on the Heath Care Bill, the most current in Congress. It has now been expunged from the Bill, proving she was correct. Of course if you have read the entire Bill as I have, if memory serves me, it is on page 343 of the Bill. It was also in the Senate Version, now gone.

Another great article which counters common myths about Lincoln.
All I can say after reading this one, is that any current politician who uttered what Lincoln said about blacks and slavery, would be labeled a white supremacist.

Wesley (Re: #117) - <<<“Good posts everyone (but that TK guy who probably is getting paid $600.00 from the Government’s Offer on Craig’s List).”>>>
Oh, come on, Wes. Leave the guy alone.
TK’s experiencing the ‘high of his life’ right now; basking in the glory of his own infamy, not only here, but in other AIM threads.
An infamy which he earned through a pugnacious, deceitful, uncivil, intellectually evasive persona, whose main defense mechanism is projecting his numerous anti-social flaws onto others in this forum.
You’re On A Roll, TK!!

Neo-conned, I have read some of William Marvel’s books noted in the first link of your posting:
“Lincoln Goes to War” I have both but have ye to read his sequel “Lincoln’s Darkest Year: The War in 1862”, but it is on my list. But have not yet read DiLorenzo’s book on Hamilton.
I did however enjoy DiLorenzo’s articles you pointed to…they were good reads.
The book “Cold Mountain” was more informative about the war (Facts with a story), but the movie with Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Renée Zellweger, I do not like it when they move too far away from a book (they always could use some narration to help). Renée Zellweger’r role in both the book and film were good, but her character in the film (although good) left too much out…Such as the fact that in the dairy it was based on was Black), and Jude Law’s character (he played Inman), was really cut almost completely off, and he did not die before making it back, and the book is based on a real event from a diary.
The film did well in the Academy Awards:
Nicole Kidman as ADA - Best Actress and
Renée Zellweger as Ruby (who in the book was a Black Woman.)
Jude Law was nominated a Best Actor, but did not win.
Please do not think I watch any of those award shows, since they have absolutely anything to do with the people who actually were paid to see the movie(s) such as they used to do.
Back to work, now that I have cooled off…

Post 116. Neo-conned
WOW ! I read what you shared about Lincoln. I feel so upset that I am just now learning these things at my age! You know, when BHO was comparing himself to Lincoln, I could not understand WHY he was saying that , but NOW it makes sense ! And I now feel so disappointed and upset that I was so abused by the govt school system, and that I sent my daughters to govt operated schools, as well ! Hopefully with all that I am learning here, as well as from reading all that I can find, I will be able to set my children straight, and to apologize for sending them to govt operated schools. I began listening to Neal Boortz after my youngest daughter graduated from college, and I can remember him saying so often ,“To send your children to govt operated schools is committing child abuse.” And he explained why. And he is so right ! Did you ever read his famous college commencement speach which he has never been allowed to give ? It is posted on his website and I think it is wonderful ! I gave that to my youngest daughter before she graduated from college. Neal Boortz is the one who set me straight about how global warming was designed to help to destroy the economy. He calls himself “The Voice of the Painful Truth.” <lol>
I also used to believe that Robert Kennedy (along with other Democrats) cared about Martin Luther King and about the Civil Rights movement, until I began reading Wayne Perryman’s book and editorials last year. I was shocked when I read this:
“History reveals that it was Democratic Attorney General, Robert Kennedy that approved the secret wire taps on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and it was Democratic President Lyndon Johnson that referred to Dr King as “that “N” preacher” !
Senator Buyrd referred to Dr King as a “trouble maker ” who causes trouble and then runs like a “coward ” when trouble breaks out.”
Feeling so disappointed with Newt Gingrich too.
Have learned a lot about him this past month which I never knew before.
Have much more to say, but trying to keep this short. Thanks for the recent websites. I am learning so much from you and Wes and I appreciate it more than you will ever know. I will be flying home to visit my daughters next month, and feeling so anxious to share all that I have learned here. I already have a huge folder full of “painful truth”, about some of our great deceivers in our govt., which I will be taking along to share.
I can just imagine that there must be an overwhelming majority of liberal /socialist minded professors inside the colleges of this country by now who have been faithfully serving to help brain wash our kids.

Wes,
Once again, I was so interested in reading all that you had to share. It takes me awhile, but I eventually find the time. I was also glad to learn about the group “Preserving The History of the United States.” And am interested in learning more about that too ! And by the way, I think you are amazing. It’s such a terrible shame that we don’t have people like you inside our colleges teaching our kids the real truth about history.
Have also been watching Glenn Beck, and all that he has reported about ACORN and APOLLO, and am so thankful that FOX is allowing him to do so. He has become another voice of the painful truth. I am hearing that govt is doing their best to shut down talk radio, as well as TV shows like Glenn Beck. Do you think that is partly what is inside that Cap and Tax bill ? I just wonder what else they will try to do since The Fairness Doctrine has not worked so far.
I have also been feeling extremely upset lately about the farms in Calif. Did you see that the govt shut off their water supply to the farms, and that are drying up now, all because the EPA wants to save a little endangered (?) minnow type of fish ? Perhaps I mentioned this to you before? Sorry I cannot recall. Anyway, I have been upset that it doesn’t seem to matter at all to the govt that 80,000 more people will soon be out of work in Calif , and that those beautiful farms are drying up. And why are we not hearing anything from the MSM about this ? Why isn’t anyone talking about this, excpet for Sean Hannity on occasion ? (And not often enough) Is this more of the dirty work of the Marxists inside our govt (to destroy the economy) ? The lives and welfare of the people are not more important than the life of a little fish ? As Sean Hannity said, “We should not even have to be having this discussion.” What is wrong there ? Why isn’t the Governor of Calif, and San Fran Nan and Babs Boxer having a fit over this happening to the farms and to the workers in their own state ? Even though the majority of those farmers voted for BO, I still cannot help but feel sorry for them now. Paul Rodriquez says he now regrets that he voted for Obama and for Democrats and that he / they will never do it again. He said that Obama is not paying any attention to their cries for help. So I have to wonder ...is this a Marxist plan to take over their farms ?
Have so much more to say regarding several things during your posts, but little time now. But thanks so much again for sharing your wisdom and information and good websites. Tucking all of these things inside my folder to take home with me next month, and will be sharing them with my daugters, as I mentioned above.
I must say that I have also enjoyed both you and Neo-conned getting after that mentally disturbed liberal/ marxist narcissitic snitch. You guys have tried to be nice to him. I have certainly seen that, but all he wants to do is poke and insult and cause trouble. Ever since tk (or Terry K. or whatever his name is) professed to be a Libertarian the other day, I have been musing that I would absolutely love to see him have to spend an entire day with Neal Boortz, or with Glenn Beck ! Can you imagine how long those two Libertarians would put up with his crap ? <lol> Once in awhile they both get callers like tk on their radio shows, and the fit really hits the shan ! <lol>
Have a good Sunday !

Post 120 ..Neo-conned,
Once again, after reading more about the REAL Abraham Lincoln , I am no longer feeling shocked or surprised that Obama has wished to compare himself to him !

With every text book my son had when he was in public schools, I would read each and everyone. When I found something was ‘revisionist’ I would explain to him so he could understand the truth.
Long before it was PC, he brought home a book to do a report on, it was called “My Two Mommies”, I went straight to the school the next day with the book in hand. I expressed my displeasure that the book (at the time) was even allowed, and that they had better give him another book. The counselor showed me a list of approved books, I chose a classic for his reading level (somewhat advanced given that he liked to read), he got an A on his paper. In this day and age, I help pay for my nieces and nephews children for a private school, if their parents need the help.
Lincoln in the newer text books is glorified almost to Sainthood, with the “only” reason he started the War between the States, was only to free slaves. There is no mention that he had to release his and his Government also to release their slaves, before he was able to change his reasoning about what the war was about.
So much for the old saying, “The more things change, the more they remain the same.”

Wes, I wish I had been so wise as you to pay closer attention to my children’s text books, and I wish that my parents had been paying close attention to mine now too. But thanking GOD that I manage to wake up in time to encourage my oldest daughter to send my oldest grandson (now age 6) to a private school. and I am also helping with that expense. And we will both be paying much closer attention now.
A book called : “My Two Mommies” ! OH MY !
Didn’t Obama say that he wants sex education to begin as early as age five or six in govt school classrooms ? And not too long ago, I saw that an elementary teacher took the youngsters in her class to a gay wedding! And without getting permission from the parents, I might add! I now wonder if she had read “My Two Mommies” to the class before taking them on that field trip!
BTW, I also saw the movie, Cold Mountain. But wishing I had read the book now.
I hope to begin reading Culture of Corruption, by Michelle Malkin next week. So many books that I want to read these days, and so little time, it seems.

Diane, if Obama did not have two daughters, he would have eliminated Private Schools, so every one’s child would be in the Government schools. He has made that clear during his Campaign, and I find it disingenuous that he put his kids there.
Now I sometimes buy Audio Books, I can listen to them back an forth when I visit my parents, often times I will transfer the Audio Books to my Creative Zen Player, as well as Music (over 9,000 songs), Movies, Home Video, AM/FM radio, I use ear buds rather than over the ear head phones, better sound, and no disturbances, or the player can be plugged into my auto stereo or home theater receiver. It depends on who is reading them…But I still enjoy holding the book I am reading.
I am sure it pains the NY Times to have all these Conservative books always hitting the number 1 spot in non-fiction, at times Conservative books have occupied an many as the top eight spots.
Enjoy your read, I have it on order, I use my Amazon Visa card to buy things we need on order to get free gift certificates, even though all credit cards are all paid off each month. Therefore Malkin’s book will be free. lol

Re: Post 115;
Originally, I thought you might have been more intelligent, more knowledgeable and more reasonable than are many other posters here.
However, I was wrong. You’ve just been portraying an image - which - it turns out, is just as phony as your supposed intellectualism which, as it turns out, is nothing more than the regurgitation and parroting of the few partisan right-wing sources you’ve apparently and unalterably connected yourself to.
And, it’s absurd that a supposed anarchist would support ANY political position other than anarchy - yet you pander to a couple right-wing extremist nincompoops here whose propagandistic prattling is so filled with untruths, misstatements, misrepresentations and outlandish statements as to be laughable to almost anyone, even a like-minded extremist, who possesses even half-a-brain and only the most basic of education.
Unfortunately, like some others here, you don’t seem to do well with facts and logic - and when actual facts and straighforward logic fail to support your specious theses - like all right-wingnuts often seem to do, you quickly degenerate into name-calling, personal attacks and hate-mongering as a self-defense - rather than acknowledging your errors in fact and reasoning.
Enjoy your mindless interactions with your fellow choir members.

Diane (post #123) - “WOW ! I read what you shared about Lincoln. I feel so upset that I am just now learning these things at my age!”
Just shows how complete, how one-sided, the distorted, propagandized version of ‘history’ that we’ve all been subjected to from the Establishment, has been.
Don’t feel so bad. Better, late then never, in discovering the truth.
I’ve known for a while the points you brought up concerning LBJ, RFK, King, and Robert Byrd, as have the MSM known about this. It only proves my point that it’s never REALLY about race, but instead, it’s about politics. Byrd, LBJ, and RFK got a pass from the media because of their Liberal Democrat status and policies they supported.
I would also argue that Bill Clinton could stand on a busy intersection in Harlem and shout the “N” word without political repercussions from Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and other Black ‘civil rights’ ‘leaders’. They, along with the MSM, would somehow ‘explain away’ his behavior.
Same goes for ‘feminism’, in that the feminists didn’t go after Clinton for various sexual assault allegations, yet tore into Clarence Thomas and Bob Packwood.

I do fine if very odd that Sotomayor was so much praised after the videos of her saying that Legislating from the Bench is a good thing, then making an assumption that a Wise Latino woman would make better Judgements than White people, since there is a Black Justice, I feel her comment was racist.
Look at what they (Democrats) did to a more qualified Justice (Clarence Thomas) than Sotomayor. Especially since they brought in a long ago Sexual Harassment claim against Thomas. Had that even been remotely true, she would have filed that claim many years before. As it turned out through questioning by Republicans, the real truth came out, and it was a false claim.
Makes me wonder how much Anita Hill was paid to testify.

Re: Post 118;
I repeat, Wesley: “You’re just a jerk”.
Among the falsehoods and/or misrepresentations you post here, you have repeatedly posted a falsehood about me re: my education and service in the Marines.
Re: Your Post 91;
Your falsified statement about me:
“...Neo-conned, with what TK has told me, he was never able to make it to a Higher Education College. He also told me as while a Marine Reservist and afterwards, he had “Low Level Clearance to the Pentagon” <guffawing>...”
And then you falsely infer that you have additional factual knowledge about my life and experiences:
Re: Your Post 104:
TK, “I happened to have acquaintance with Rasmussen and his Father going back almost 30 years ago… / ...Both Rasmussen’s are/were about as reliably politically objective as you are.)”
Your statement:
<Laughing> It seems you “always know someone who…” This is what now, the fourth time you claim you know or know someone who…yada, yada, yada. I believe you have a serious problem keeping your stories strait, fact.
AND, AS I SAID IN MY POST 107 to you:
“... You’re just a jerk ...”
“... You have no knowledge whatsoever of my personal life, nor my life experiences ...”
TO REPEAT:
YOU have NO FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE of my background, educational or otherwise, nor of my life’s experiences, nor who I may have been associated with or acquainted with over my life - YET - you insist on fabricating inferences that you do have factual knowledge of these things.
You often do the same with your commenting on history and politics - repeating misrepresentations or falsehoods while inferring that you have some first-hand knowledge - when you don’t seem to have any knowledge at all.
THAT IS THE SOURCE OF MY “You’re just a jerk!” comment, Wesley, which, as I said, is not a “slur” but, rather, a qualitative judgment based on your insistence on posting falsehoods here - not only involving me - but involving much of what you post while pretending to know “the facts”.
In my opinion, anyone who persists in pursuing such conduct - IS A JERK.
Note: Some of the comments you’ve made in this thread are truly outlandish, totally absurd and outrightly bizarre. Plainly - jerky!

TK (post #129) - “it turns out, is just as phony as your supposed intellectualism which, as it turns out, is nothing more than the regurgitation and parroting of the few partisan right-wing sources you’ve apparently and unalterably connected yourself to.”
LewRockwell.com and Mises.org. who I referenced the most in my political discussions, are anything but right-wing. In fact, they are as despised by the Republican Establishment and Fox News as much as by the Democrat Establishment and MSM.
<<<“And, it’s absurd that a supposed anarchist would support ANY political position other than anarchy - yet you pander to a couple right-wing extremist nincompoops here….”>>>
As I said in #98, there is nothing ‘anarchist’ about paleo-libertarianism which advocates a very limited role for federal government rather than no government at all.
<<<“Unfortunately, like some others here, you don’t seem to do well with facts and logic.”>>>
It is a fact that Sotomayor made the “Wise Latina” comment.
It was a fact that Obama had a 20 year affiliation with ‘Wright’.
It is therefore logical to come to the conclusion that both have racism in their hearts.
Would it not be logical to assume that a person who attended KKK meetings for 20 years, to have racism in their hearts?

Wes (Re:Post 128)
I agree with what you mentioned regarding Obama’s daughter’s education and private schools. I wonder, however, if that will prevent his interferring with “home schooling”. I have read that the liberals want to stop that, and are telling the big lie that children don’t learn as much as home, when the grades on testing show just the opposite is true! So, I wonder why that is such a threat to the govt. Is it about children at home being taught the truth, and learning more than what children in govt operated schools are learning ;or is it about the money?
OR BOTH?? I probably just answered my own question, didn’t I ? <lol>
Sounds like you have a nice system with your books and music, etc . I have been ordering my books from The Conservative Book Club lately. And I also received Michelle Malkin’s book for free. I had trouble finding it at the book stores. I was told that it needed to be ordered and so I found better prices with the above mentioned book club. I ordered three other books that I wanted, and received the 4th for free. Of course, I will need to order 4 more books within the next two years, but I imagine I will have no problem fulfilling that commitment by the end of the year. Actually , the first three books that I ordred from this website were only $1.00 , plus shipping and handling. So I’m happy ! And I used my AmEx which I must pay off completely each month, so that keeps me out of trouble! <lol>

Re: Post 133;
There’s no conclusive proof that Obama or Sotomayor are overtly racist - only surmise and assumption based on one’s presumptive perspective.
And, “logic” is certainly not a reliable predictor of any individual’s personal conduct or behavior. Furthermore, especially involving “love” and “hate”, you have no way to know what’s really in one’s heart or psyche.
Regarding your comment on the KKK, there’s a documented history of conscious, active, overt and participatory hate and violence over more than 100 years for that organization, much of it in violation of the law and much of it openly advertised as racism.
Naturally, somebody actively participating in that kind of circumstance is quite different than someone making a 32-word statement for which a good case can be made is open to interpretation - or someone attending a predominantly African-America Church wherein some outsiders may believe the pastor was an anti-white racist.
Your logic here is akin to substantiating to all non-Americans that all Americans are, in fact, warmongers because we all sat through the seven-plus years of the Bush 43 unilateral invasions and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan (and, when we had a chance to put somebody else in charge in 2004 who might change those circumstances - we didn’t!).

Thanks for telling me not to feel too bad. I must admit that I went through a little bit of a grieving process after learning the truth about Abe Lincoln. I also recalled memories over the weekend of my trip to Washinton, Jamestown, and Mt Vernon. My parents took my brother and I to those places during one Spring Break, and I took pictures to share with my 7th grade class. And my report when school resumed was about Abe Lincoln. And of course, you know all of the good things that I had read and shared in my report about him. And I thought that he loved GOD too! So my heart hurt for awhile yesterday and I grieved. But as you said, better to finally learn the truth. So thanks.
I also believe that Clinton could get away with you what you stated. And I might add that perhaps he has actually gotten away with far worse things. Have you ever looked at the website: “How Would You Like To Be One of Bill Clinton’s Friends?” Now there is some scarey reading that I happpened to stumble across one day.
And those feminists, I believe, are just a bunch of terribly insecure hypocrits. They make absolutely no sense to me.
Well, back to reading about the lies and corruption inside our present style of Democratic government. I keep hoping that BO and his thugs, and his Democrat lap dogs are not going to stomp the light completely out at the end of our tunnel of freedom and prosperity. Hopefully, the majority of Americans can keep that from happening. I was reading what Chruchill said today, ” Socialism is the equal sharing of misery.”

TK (#135) <<<“Your logic here is akin to substantiating to all non-Americans that all Americans are, in fact, warmongers because we all sat through the seven-plus years of the Bush 43 unilateral invasions and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan”>>>
I would think that most non-Americans were aware of Bush’s ghastly low poll numbers as those ‘conflicts’ wore on and realized that he had far less than 100 percent backing from the general population.
That would be in direct contrast to Obama attending ‘Rev’ Wright’s sermons for all those years or Sotomayors racist comment and her membership with La Raza. Both of them, along with other members/participants of those two entities would have to be 100 percent behind the messages that Wright’s sermons and La Raza espouse.
So, to me, the logic your using here is comparing apples to oranges.
Regarding the rest of the rational in your post, I would say it’s apparent that we’ll have to ‘agree to disagree’ on this subject.

Wesley (#122)
re: your disappointment with the movie version of Cold Mountain -
I had to laugh when I read your post, because as bad as Hollywood is with historical reenactments, you still can’t escape from PC in even watching outlets such the History Channel as well.
The History Channel recently played part of a series about the early American presidents. The 3 or 4 ‘historians’ who commented on each president were so predictable in their admiration of Alexander Hamilton and their downplaying of Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, since the latter two abolished the two central banks during that era.
I guess it didn’t help either that Jefferson was diametrically opposed to Hamilton’s statist views concerning the role of government.

I was talking with an elderly relative tonight who taught Ecomonics in college for many years, and who fought the socialist minded system. He has told me many stories about dealing with liberal professors, not only in his college educated years (being handed bad grades if he did not conform) , but also with teaching years. His parents left Germany (not Jewish decendents), but just decided to leave there before the war) WE often discuss what children have been subjected to in schools across this nation since the 1050’s and sooner); not only in elementary years, but in colleges as well. We both work on trying to get our own kids straightened out who want to believe the soothing talk that the liberals deliver. And our kids don’t think we know very much. Whenever we try to explain to our kids what is happening , they choose to believe that all is well and the liberal presidents always know what is best for us. So this is what I have to deal with when I go home in Sept. I wonder now that so much is at stake, do I try to go all loaded up with the knoweledge that I have received here , as well as other places; or do I say nothing and just do my best to enjoy the visit and not bring up the warnings about what is happening? I feel like either way, I lose. No need for a response, and I won’t expect any. Just felt like throwing this out there. I just wonder how many other baby boomer parents are experiencing the same experiences right now who have unknowingly sent their kids off to liberal profesors to be brain washed. (??) I liken it to the army sargeants who pound in the message to their troops, ” You are away from your parents now and now you will believe and do what I say. We are here to tell you that we are about making a better world. SO forget about your parents for now.” I saw a video of Al Gore doing that in a classroom. ” Your parents know nothing about global warming. Listen to me.” I talked with my daughter tonight who actually believes that Obama is struggling to do his best to make life wonderful for everyone. And she is upset with the bickering in the town hall meetings. Is there another website where I can go to deal with this ? Sorry. I am more concerned about peole who swallow the crap sandwich and who choose not to believe what is happening than anything else now. And when it comes to your own college educated kids, what can we do ? I wish I had home schooled them and never sent them to liberal socialist professors. I feel so ashamed of myself for not waking up so much sooner.

PS .....Please excuse spelling errors in previous posting, as well as for expressing what I did. Already regretting posting “the above” here, and feeling too embarrassed to return. It was not the proper place to do so , and I apologize. On my way out to help an elderly woman in the hospital whose family is in another state. This is what I do, and was in hurry, as well as feeling a moment of passion regarding my daughter’s liberal view points. So,hope you will understand. And I am alone too most of time. These are the kind of times that try men’s and women’s souls , for sure ! <smile>

Diane - re: #139
If I were in your position, I wouldn’t bring anything up with the children unless they asked for my opinion. Chances are, at this stage, that they wouldn’t be receptive to your views; and as you stated - [they choose to believe that all is well and the liberal presidents always know what is best for us].
We’re all subjected to varying degrees of propaganda, whether through the public schools, TV shows, news outlets, etc.
If the children, like some of us grownups, eventually experience any skepticism, (which would arise from a combination of independence of thought and open-mindedness), then they’ll likely take the initiative to navigate through the BS thrown at them without any outside coercion.
If that hopeful scenario does occur, the likelihood would be greater that you’ll have the opportunity to share your perspective with them.
Dr. Neo-conned HAS SPOKEN!!
P.S. - You have nothing to be regretful about in
your posting.

Re: Post 137:
Your statement:
“... Both of them, along with other members/participants of those two entities would have to be 100 percent behind the messages that Wright’s sermons and La Raza espouse ...”
I certainly don’t think your “connection” here is conclusive.
For example:
I followed Bush 43’s presidency very closely on a daily basis for eight years; I listened to all his speeches, press conferences, etc.; I followed him in the media and among the commentariat - even though I supported almost NOTHING that he ever proposed or did. Would that make you automatically believe I was pro-Bush 43?
In my youth, I knew of many Jewish kids whose parents sent them to Catholic schools from K to 12 as preferential to the available public schools. Would that make you believe these kids (and their parents) had forsaken their Jewish religion and had automatically become Catholics because they attended Catholic school for 13 years?
Personally, Sotomayor’s speeches and Obama’s attendance at Wright’s church certainly “make me wonder” - maybe even more so because neither was my first choice for their respective positions - but neither set of circumstances CONCLUSIVELY EVIDENCE OVERT RACISM on their parts. (And, of course, I fully understand that most people have a natural affinity “for their own kind” which rarely rises to the level of “overt racism”, e.g., don’t you think the vast majority of northeastern Irish-American Catholics voted for JFK?)
In any case, raising the issue now is beating a dead horse (as is what the “birthers” are doing). Obama and Sotomayor have their jobs and one can only observe their current and future conduct in terms of noting any potentially overt racism on their parts.

Re: Post 139;
While you may not like it - since the latter 1960s, American society and cultural mores and standards have changed DRASTICALLY from what they were in the 1950s and before. Social and cultural standards have become much less defined and less demanding of conformity. Socially, the population has not only more than doubled, but it has become much more diverse - and, in a short time, caucasians with a western European social and cultural heritage will become a minority. The former standards embodied in and spread by the extended family, the ethnic group, formal religion and a school system based on in loco parentis - have been so diminished over the last 50 years so as to be almost non-existent today. And, of course, entertainment media, including movies, music, cable television and, most of all, the Internet, have dumbed-down all of the so-called “old-fashioned” standards.
Wake up to the changes! And whether you approve of them or not, they are NOT changes caused by Democratic or Liberal politicians or, for that matter, politics in general. They are the result of significant widespread changes occurring at the grass-roots level in the very make-up, the structure and the parameters of American society and culture.
Art, politics, law, customs, style and standards of all kinds are a reflection of the society and culture in which they exist.
And, historically, it seems abundantly clear that social and cultural standards and mores and morals of the past CANNOT be effectively reinstituted by democratically-initiated legislative means.
Personally - I prefer “the old days”; but today is what it is and no politicians nor political party are going to effectively change it back to what it was. It would be akin to being able to force the genie back into the bottle.

Diane,
You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of what-so-ever. Especially Lincoln, when I was in K through 12, and college there was never anything mentioned about the Real Lincoln. I learned what I know from reading many history books, then verifying the information via museums with many of his collective writings.
Please do not stop posting, I/we enjoy reading your posts, I believe your daughter out in the real world, common sense will take over.
The fact is that 98% of all Professors are liberal for socialists. My son while in college wondered what politics had to do with many of his subjects such as Computer Science and others, but almost every liberal Professor will start a class or lecture with a liberal political view. He knew to just toe the line in order to get the GPA he earned, that is how that keep dissent out of teaching. He is his own man and wanted to speak out against them, but knew the consequences had he done so, especially since he was accepted on a full scholarship, and did not want to take the chance to lose it…
Neo-conned, I am away that the History Channel often follows a liberal point of view, but there are many shows which truly show the conservative point of view. Since I DVR almost everything we watch (not big TV fans anyway), but the Military Channel and Oliver North’s “War Stories” are pretty accurate.
TK, what I said in my post you complained about is taken for the ungodly amount of posts you have made over the past year, you just do not realize how often you have contradicted yourself, that is no fault of mine. If you did indeed attend a University, you should have take classes on Transactional Analysis, that is part of the requirement of FBI Profilers, it unbelievable what you can learn in five minutes of talking to someone, or just reading their writings.

I believe that you are absolutely right! Since my last posting, I decided to take an entire day away from the internet, from reading, and from listening to the news. Thankfully I had the day off and so I took a drive to the mountains around noon yesterday, enjoyed a nice lunch by the water, and went for a boat ride. And I continued to think and to do a lot of soul searching about my daughter’s liberal points of view, and about “what to say” or “not to say”. Bottom line is that my intuition kept telling me to do exactly the same as you suggested. And I know that I will not say anything at all to my children now, unless they ask me. I came back home feeling more at peace;and slept better than I have for quite awhile. However, I was still feeling guilty about posting that question here as if this is some sort of a Dear Abby column. (lol) OH MY, I was so embarrassed as soon as I sent that post and wished I could take it back! Anyway after reading your response here this morning, I feel even more at peace ! So thanks so much for your reply and support and understanding, and for taking some time to share your thoughts and wisdom. THANK YOU ! <smile> Have a great day!

Re: Post #144.
Hi Wes,
On way to work, and no time to post any more now, but will respond later this evening. But in the meantime, I could not leave without saying THANKS TO YOU , also ! <smile)
Enjoy your day!

Diane,
Judging by the happy, relaxed tone of your #145, I for one, am glad you made that ‘Dear Abbey-styled’ posting.
Never regret it, and feel free anytime to unload.
As a self-proclaimed ‘doctor’, I would say that your 24 hour respite from the Internet, news, reading, or anything involving politics, was the best form of ‘remedy’, as I need to do the same from time to time. It is so refreshing, although, the political bug in me does rebound pretty soon afterward, as I’m sure it does with you!
In fact, fear of ‘burning out’ is what compels me to post here only when I have a REAL incentive to do so, otherwise, I find it to be quite draining. (I don’t know where TK and Wesley get their energy from!)
Regards

Re : Post #144
Wes, Thanks again for you nice post to me earlier today. I really appreciated that. I was thinking further today, and I also believe that my daughters will eventually come around. I know deep down they are conservatives at heart, and I think they both will come to realize this before too much longer.
I was musing today that perhaps I will accidentally….(LOL)....leave a couple of my books at each of their homes during my visit; such as Glenn Beck’s {Common Sense}, and perhaps, {Liberalism Is A Mental Disorder). <smile>
I have heard from many peoplewho have also shared that they learned to tow the line (regarding politics) with their professors while in college, just as you mentioned that your son did. I didn’t experience that , thankfully. Perhaps it was because I attentded to small community college. I don’t know.
Well, if you don’t see me for a few days, you will know that I will be working, reading and keeping up with the news. Sounds like Glenn Beck is going to have a very interesting show all of next week (after his vacation this week.) Perhaps getting even closer to what is going on inside Acorn and Apollo, I hope. Those organizations need to be investigated and we need to know what they are up to, I think. I just can’t help but wonder each and every day what they are busy organizing, or what they are perhaps training for.
Thanks once again, Wes, for being so nice. Have a good week !

Yes, Neo-conned ...Breaking away from all the noise for a day did me a world of good, and helped me to re-energize and to put things in a better perspective. I know that I will need to remind myself to do this more often. Reading and listening to everything that I can regarding govt has become extra addicting this year. I always managed to be able to keep life in a very good balance before BHO was selected, and before we got 40 misfit Czars, and the list of scarey reasons goes on and on. Anyway, it is amazing what a change of scenery and taking some time away from the daily routine can do for the mind, as well as for one’s spirit and psyche.
Thanks again for your support, Doctor. <Smile>

Wes and Neo-conned,
(A few days later) Wondering where you guys might be blogging in AIM lately ? Or if you have also been taking a break ?

Hi Diane,
I have gotten hung up with a couple of people who looks as though they have answered the Craigslist job for up to $600.00 per month to dispel any opposition to Obama’s Health Care Plan, or any Obama supported plans. Have been attempting to break the (without merit attacks) which TK sees as backup, yet they are not actually backing him in any form or fashion, the older thread is located here:
http://www.aim.org/don-irvine-blog/obama-challenged-by-student-at-town-hall
They would have to hold a gun to my head to intimidate me, while working in Libya, I was filling my fuel tanks when an auto accident occurred on the only real highway in the country. I was arrested when asked to tell the police what I had seen from my truck. The arrest it turned out was I had been accused of being an Interpol Agent. I had signed a special Travel Document with the then Secretaries of State, and two Presidents to work in these countries, to not hold the US Government liable. This was only for countries where there were no friendly embassies.
For over three months I endured torture and beatings, including being water-boarding, pretty bad, but not as near harmful as this government is now saying it is…All of our own soldiers are water-boarded as part of their training. This is what got Pelosi in trouble with the CIA (Lying to Congress is a Crime), which is no longer an issue all of a sudden, the investigation was mysteriously killed. Eric Holder is killing investigations, and pre-trials being stopped concerning members of the Democrat Houses.
If prison and torture and being shot did not intimidate me, these guys will not either.
Being a paying Partner of this site, I could request they be removed, but I am afraid they could stop commenting completely, as has happened once before.
I am not afraid of this Government, or it’s cronies as long as I am telling the truth and we still have Free Speech…None of us are, which is why they are using hired guns (so-to-speak) who are private citizens such as we are.
According to AIM, this thread has been killed, thanks to TK, or so says the email I received, for unethical behaviour.

Post #151 WES, I visited the website that you posted. There were so many interesting postings there, and I enjoyed reading everyone’s points of view and ideas, and references, as usual…with the exception of TK’s, of course. I stopped paying attention to a lot of his postings long ago for so many reasons…but mostly because he contradicts himself at least on a weekly basis , if not sometimes daily. And of course he is always insulting other people’s intelligence. It’s a shame that tk continues to be such a bully; and that he gets so angry when no one agrees with his politics. And he always feels the need to attack ! Seems that everyone who posts in AIM has pretty much figured him out by now. I have even noted that some new people who have posted here were quick to see that he is up to no good. I also noted that they were not willing to give him all the chances to be nice which you have in the past. I have noticed for a very long time that Tk is rarely ever respectful to anyone with whom he disagrees. And then when the bully finally gets told by any person who posts here that they have had enough of his rudeness, and finally stand up to defend themselves, then Tk runs and tattles on them ! I have been trying to figure out for such a long time why he keeps coming back for more, since it is plain to see (from what others post back to him ), that he totally wastes his time here. Either his hard liberal head refuses to believe that; OR he actually is receiving pay from the lefties to try to win people over to “their” way of thinking. Perhaps the office that he brags about working in “where everyone laughs at our postings” , as he so informed us once; is where those misfit Czars are !<lol> And perhaps they are all dictating to him what to post ! Or perhaps he gets on the phone like that one congresswoman for his instructions about what to post ! <lol> Looks like whoever might have hired him would finally say, “Let’s give it up. No one is buying the crap sandwiches that Tk is trying to force feed them. ” Wonder if he could manage a Dairy Queen ? I doubt that the tyrant would be able to keep any good help. I cannot imagine him being a kind manager of people any where. I keep praying that he will leave here soon. I certainly don’t mind anyone disagreeing with me regarding something that I post here, or with something that I might have read or heard about. Afterall, that is the main reason why I enjoy being here ...to learn ! Sometimes I don’t post at all. I just read what others have to say. But whether I post or not, I have observed for a very long time that Tk can rarely manage to be nice. He always has to attack people by calling their posts “nutty” , or asking people what planet they are from , or calling them “Un American”, or some other insulting horrible type of comment. And so afer awhile, people get tired of it and let him know how they feel about his disrespect, and then he spins it all around and blames everyone for picking on him from the beginning ! That’s that typical liberal “two-step”, I guess. It’s okay for him to insult and attack, but not okay for anyone else to do when it is only about them defending themselves. If I knew how to share this posting with the representatives at AIM , I would certainly do so. I am so thankful to AIM and for this site, and for people like you who post here, and I would even feel tolerable of Tk’s points of view, if he could just treat others who post here with some respect. His attitude is always that it’s either his way of thinking , or it’s the highway for everybody !
Best regards, Wes.

Re: Post 151 (continued)
Wes ....
I also just read the postings on the first site that you shared. I must say, you and Neo-conned really had a work out there ! Whew ! You guys are fantastic ! I am so thankful that you gentlemen post in AIM. It seems that you two so often say what I am feeling and want to say, but you both say it so much better !
And Wes, I have always felt admiration for you and your knoweledge in your postings here: but after reading about your horrific experiences in Libya, (as tears were running down my cheeks here), you have become one of my very most respected heros. And I now wish to thank you so much for serving your country and for enduring so much for America. Of course there is no way that I could even begin to imagine what you endured, but I know with all my heart that it had to be so terrible, beyond words. Anyway, I just want you to know that I think you are truly wonderful ! And thank you ! And it is my great pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet you here.
I have also been furious with Pelosi over the waterboarding / CIA situation ever since that began with her. And I think she should have been fired a long time ago.
I also wanted to ask you about your leukemia, and if you have learned what caused that ? And the reason that I wonder is because my ex husband was in the Air Force for 12 years and worked as a jet mechanic. He then decided to leave the Air Force and go to work for a big corporation in Phoenix where he worked until a 4 years ago. And he did the same kind of work there for all these years. I hesitate to mention the corporation here. But perhaps you will know. (?) Anyway, he decided to take an early retirement and was all set to enjoy traveling in his big motor home and going fishing with friends, etc. He was a workaholic and he certainly deserved to have a nice retirement. But within weeks after retiring, he learned that he had leukemia. Since then, I have learned from quite an impressive number of people that many men who worked for this same corporation, as well as for another corporation in Calif who had he same kind of jobs have been diagnosed with leukemia over the years. So of course I cannot help but wonder if it was because he was exposed to so much jet fuel on a daily basis for so many years. And when you just mentioned fueling those tanks , well, just cannot help but wonder.
I must admit that there have been a few times lately when I have felt a little afraid to post and to speak my mind since the snitch sight was set up. It’s terrible to begin to feel like you are fearing your govt. And I worry about where we are headed. I worry about what Acorn is doing and what Apollo is doing and what The Fed Reserve is doing, as well as what BO and his 40 Czars are doing. I have never seen anything like this and it is the first time in my life that I have felt fearful of a President. But, I am a Christian and I also love my country and I know that I should not be afraid, or let anyone intimidate me either. I probably pray more these days than I have ever have before in my life for my country and I hope that GOD will keep us safe from Socialism or Marxism or worse. I do believe that is what BO and the eletists who run him have planned for us, however. Glenn Beck is going to have special shows on this coming regarding uncovering more things, which I am sure are going to make the govt absolutely furious. It’s such a terrible shame that the MSM is not doing thier jobs and investigating all of the corruption going on inside those organizations, as well.
Anyway, thanks once again, Wes ! I admire you greatly ! And thanks for posting back. I didn’t know where to find you.
Sincerely, Diane

Re: post #150
Hi Diane,
Been chillin ever since recovering from Shel’s response #22 in the “Obama Challenged By Student at Town Hall” thread, which we’ll revisit here -
““Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…. Obama isn’t required to produce squat.” [end quote]
Otherwise, been catching up on some reading over the weekend. Hope yours was as restful.

Hi Neo conned,
I read Shel’s response #22. And I thought that he or she sounded a lot like Tk. Same kind of crazy hate nonesense mentality, anyway.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that your post back to Shel was absolutely excellent ! And I feel exactly the same way that you do ! And I would certainly want the president that I voted for producing all of the documents and records that were expected of him, as well !
Glad your weekend was good. Yes, restful weekend here, Thank you ! And catching up with some reading here, as well; and keeping life in a better balance once again. <smile> Was also glad to catch up on the latests posts in AIM which Wes sent to me, since I had lost you guys for awhile. I certainly wished that you gentlemen could have heard me cheering you both on yesterday, (as I was catching up)and as you were making your excellent points with some of those mentally disturbed people. WOW ! Sometimes I find it difficult to believe my eyes while I am reading what some of them say ! OH MY! It can be a little scarey sometimes ! <lol>
Have a good week !

Neo-conned,
Although the did not seem to support TK, it has emboldened him to even further extremes. No one is capable of changing my mind or my beliefs, not even Shel, whom I believe to be a ringer brought into our site.
Perhaps we should bring in more of our own to counter, this being a “Tell it like it is” site to balance our efforts there.
We may be able to handle them, but they are just parroting the MSM and the Pelosi crowd. They put down Fox News, even with a 40% Democrat/Independent percentage, where else can one get both sides of any story without Fox or the “Right” publications, even when they have been proved to be much more consistently correct than any MSM outlet.
And did you catch the comment about mediamatters.com, they are to the left of most Liberals.
Unbelievable…

Hang in there Diane,
We are behind you all the way, you have free speech although those on the left prefer we not speak out, but that is their problem, not ours as long as we have the the First Amendment in the Constitution on our side.
Thank you for your praise, we all do what we have to do, perhaps I am just a bit more nuts for going back after the torture and beatings. I was told I could return in 90 days, more than enough for physical healing, and being told my trial would have already been tried in absence, with my Palestinian (Christian) Lawyer speaking for me.
Upon arrival back in Tripoli, I found the trial had been delayed, since they knew I was back in county, I had to attend. The Translator was questioned by my lawyer, and the truth came out. Four days of awaiting a verdict, I was found “Not Guilty” however the Translator was taken into custody, we were never privy to what became of him.
——————————
As for your husband getting Leukemia, one of the major causes for certain types of Leukemia are directly related to prolonged exposure Benzene’s, benzene’s are used in a variety of chemicals, including almost all fuels, gasoline, Jet Fuel, diesel fuel, kerosene, naphtha (a common cleaning highly flammable petrochemical), and many other uses. Fortunately, just minimal exposure to fuels rarely have an effect, but prolonged exposure, including immersing you bare skin, even constant inhaling does over time.
The American Cancer Society sent two attorney’s to visit me, and were asking questions in regards to my exposure to Benzene’s, then I found out they wanted me to be a part of a Class Action Suit, that is when I through them out of our home. I am a proponent of Tort Reform, which excludes Class Action Suits, when you have to advertise for Clients. But, I AM a Proponent of suing for unsafe practices, which harm people, however I believe a cap of $25 to $50 Million in damages against those who knew there were dangers and ignored informing those exposed to dangerous materials, then have their businesses closed down, and or prosecuted for allowing it to happen, and anyone else in that workplace who became ill due to over exposure.
If your ex-husband was intentionally overly exposed, he should see if an lawyer can prove that the exposure was due to the Jet Fuel, is so he should be awarded damages. However, it takes many of years of not only fumes, but soaking into the skin, as we were told to do overseas, at that time there were no warnings, it was an unknown, it was found out thanks to our scientists working on cancer curing drugs. But thanks to ObamaCare if passed, these drug companies will no longer have the money to keep searching for cures and causes. Which could mean I lose the excellent care I am currently receiving, I would cost too much. But I will pray for your ex husband.
I believe that something good usually come from a bad situation, such as when the drunk driver ran me off the road into a concrete column, of which I was not expected to survive, is when they found my Leukemia. But I was unable to receive treatment until I was out of Intensive Care and taken out of an induced coma after three major surgeries. The underlying factor in my Leukemia is a condition rarely known outside of Medical Science/Oncologists, know as a Meyoproliferative Disorder, this also causes the gene to reappear, thus causing the Leukemia to return.
Even when you do not have the Philadelphia Gene (the Cancer Gene), in my particular instance has never been seen before, by any Oncologist/Hematologists in the USA or abroad…<laughing> it is something you learn to live with, or not. I choose life, regardless of the possibility of a cure. Even when I do not have Leukemia, it still feels as though I do have it, being lethargic, weak most of the time, home-bound due to only a 5% immune system, and the sever anemia. I have also been hospitalized more than 60 times for sever infections. My Bone Marrow has great difficulty in making the proper blood cells. Such as my White Cell count is extremely high (78,000 to over 200,000, the baseline is about 3,500), White Blood cells are your immune system, but mine are nucleated with red blood cells growing inside of them. Every three to four months, I must have red blood infusions, usually 2 to 4 pints. When I do venture into public places, I have to have a Procrit shot in the stomach, to boost my immune system. But I have not given up on an eventual cure, the maternal bone marrow is the best, but they never saved her cord blood, something that was not known back then, but you can get it from the Maternal Stem Cells, but she had to have a Hysterectomy, so she cannot be a candidate, not to mention in her health, may not survived anyway. My Son, and both sisters are just short of a match, so to find a marrow donor not related to me is only a 50/50 chance of making it after the marrow transplant.
What state of illness is he in now?

By the way, no need to worry about Glenn Beck, we not only had our own anti-boycott, but it seems as though he has more than enough backing:

Re: Post 151;
First of all, SNAFUmeister - a nutty, nuttier and nuttiest post all wrapped up into one! Completely hallucinatory!
Second, your statement (there are so many here that are completely off the wall, but I’ll stick to just this one):
“...According to AIM, this thread has been killed, thanks to TK, or so says the email I received, for unethical behaviour(sic)...”
Apparently - WRONG AGAIN, SNAFUmeister!
(Crissakes, you yourself posted three more times after you declared AIM told you “this thread has been killed”! NOTHING you say is true!)

Shut up, TK…you are not welcome here any longer, we all know how you have problems with the truth.
You’re Mother needs to wash your mouth out with soap. Laughing harder…
<Oooh, I liked this one>

Re: Post 152;
Your statement:
“... then Tk runs and tattles on them! ...”
That is most certainly a “nutty” (and completely nonsensical) statement - as are many of the other statements you make. I wish I had a better word to use than “nutty” but, honestly, I don’t know any other word that would be extreme enough! It’s hard to believe that an ostensibly somewhat educated, fully-grown and functioning adult could have the simplistic fears and misunderstandings that you write about here.
Would you care to specify to where I might “run” and to whom I might “tattle” - - and about what and about who I might be tattling?
As I said: “Nutty!” VERY nutty!
P.S.
And about you and SNAFUmeister’s belief in “free speech”: “free speech” does not allow one to yell “Fire!” in a crowded theater - nor does it freely allow one to willfully peddle harmful untruths about another - nor does it allow one to incite others to unacceptable or illegal actions.

Re: Post160;
SNAFUmeister:
It’s against my nature - but I do feel somewhat sorry for you. And, I guess I do have to realize that you really can’t help yourself.
But, I will repeat: according to my knowledge and experience, very little of what you post here is the truth - and I would guess that someone who continually posts falsehoods would actually be the person who no one else would want around.
It does amaze me that you are apparently incapable of being personally embarrassed and shamed by some of the posts you place (and the childish personal attacks and personal dickering you compulsively engage in) here, especially after some of your more outlandish statements have been pointed out by others - but - as I’ve said, I guess you really can’t help yourself.

Re: Post 162;
SNAFUmeister:
E-X-A-C-T-L-Y !!!
That’s YOU to a “T”!
A big, ugly, open mouth expelling copious amounts of hot, humid air!
You finally posted a TRUTH!
(That does not, however, effect the terminal jerkiness of the vast majority of your postings here!)

Tk, ....Go watch Glenn Beck and try your best to get some sort of “common sense” education ! If you will not listen to Wes, and Neo conned and other wise words of wisdom and well informed people here,(even with all of the researched references that they share), then perhaps Mr. Beck can crack open that hard head of yours ! I do wonder if there any hope for you!
You really do waste your time and energy in here with your crap sandwiches, and your bully style of attitude and no one respects you. And no one is swallowing your poison kool aid either! And if you are making money to spew all the crap that you do here,as well as to try to discredit the wise and truly educated gentleman who post here, and who share their sources of information; then you should hop on your phone and inform those commies who are paying you that they are just wasting our precious tax dollars…ONCE AGAIN!! >>Because NO ONE here is buying any thing that you are peddling any more! The common sense thinkers only want the facts and the truth here!
You are just as arrogant as that inexperienced man-child college kid from Chicago who is pretending to be a president ! And you lie just as often, if not more! I am even surprised that you even know how to spell the word “Truth” !

Re: Post 165;
If you had as much knowledge about history, politics and government as you think you have about me - you might actually be able to post something here that might make some real-world sense. As it is, you come up short on all accounts.

Hi Wes,
I wish so much that tk’s mother would not let him out of his playpen. Whew! He not only needs his mouth washed out with soap, but he needs to sit in the corner on a daily basis with Dennis “The Menace”, until he learns his lesson!
I read once again with great interest what you had to share regarding your terrible experiences. Have you ever written a book about your life? If not, I think you should ! I imagine that you would be a very good author too ! I am so thankful that you are safe and doing well, and I will continue to say prayers for you ! It must be very difficult for you to go out anywhere, especially during cold and flu season. I am sure that I would be very afraid to do so.
Unfortunately, my ex husband developed complications and was not as lucky as you. For one thing the doctors did not discover the leukemia early enough, and so he lost his life soon after the diagnosis. Pneumonia and other complications happened too.
He not only had a high pressure job with secret service agents around him every day, but he was constantly exposed to jet fuel on a daily basis since 1966 until just a few years ago. My oldest daughter and I attended his funeral. He and I were only married for 4 years. He returned from Viet Nam with an abusive streak, and refused counseling and so I was forced to take my one year old daughter and leave for safety reasons. Anyway, long story, of course, but we kept in touch through the years and afer 3 more failed relationships, he finally got the counseling that he desparately needed, and he eventually remarried a very nice lady; and we kept in touch more often after that. So my oldest daughter and I attended is funeral a few years ago, as I mentioned. I never thought of asking anyone any thing regarding law suits. All I learned is what I told you regarding that so many men from that corporation, as well as another corporation in Calif have been diagnosed with leukemia trough the years, and wondering if might be because of over exposure to jet fuel. Just made sense to me. I remember someone telling me not too long ago that corporations like that sometimes make silent settlements with some familes who threaten to sue. But, I really don’t know.
Also, during those 4 years, living on Air Force bases all over the place, I can tell you that I was never pleased with the free govt health care system. I almost lost my first daughter because a drunk air force doctor was partying all over the hospital instead of watching out for me during labor time, and it is a wonder that he delivered her correctly. There were complications which I read about later by sneaking a peek at my chart, which they didn’t volunteer to share with me. I can also remember sitting in a long line when I took my daughter to the ER one night with an extremely high fever, and I waited for 2 hours before any one even had a chance to ask me what was wrong. And once when she had chicken pox, (at the age of 3), a doctor diagnosed her with mono, of all things ! It was then that I took her to a very nice privae pediatrician, and asked if he could help me and he did. He charged me $10 to see her, and no further bills for that visit. After that I decided to give up the FREE health care and to purchase our own private insurance and I never went back to an Air Force clinic ever again, even though my daughter could have had Free health care from the govt until she was 18. I worked an extra job for awhile, while going to school, to be able to afford the health insurance, and I kept taking her back to doctors who knew what they were doing. I imagine things are better now in military hospitals. At least, I hope so.
I am so happy to learn that Glenn Beck has so many people behind him ! Does my heart good ! We really do need him!
And Wes, and Neo-conned ! Here is some really great news ! My youngest daughter and her husband called me today to inform me that they have been watching Glenn Beck and that he has shown them the light ! HURRAY! And so I am sure that you can just imagine how elated that I have been feeling ! We had a great conversation, and they told me that they wished they had wised up to what is going on a long time ago ! And my daughter also apologized to me for scolding me about being so conservative last year, and for what she thought was paranoid thinking on my part (lol); and about refusing to listen to anything that I ever said about liberals ! This was back when I was warning everyone about Obama during the election, as well as a few times aferwards. So they finally are getting it figured out, and so those liberal minded college professors and Obama have lost two more sheeple! They also mentioned to me that a lot of their friends are seeing the light now…those friends who are starting new families ! So how about that?
So Wes, and Neo-conned, you were both right ! She found her way ! And her husband has also! They have a young daughter (one year old), and both college educated and a new house and have been very successful in their careers so far. But seems they are finally becoming much more concerned about their futures, and the economy, and health care. They also do not want Socialized Health Care, as they have been hearing some real horror stories from Canadians.
Now, hopefully the older daughter will find her way soon. She is still living in that “give Obama a chance state of mind.” Anyway, I am still taking your advice and won’t say anything unless asked or unless they bring up the subject. And I never told my youngest daughter “I told you so,” either. I just expressed that I was very happy that they discovered Glenn Beck and that they are learning the truth. I also mentioned a few other good programs for them to watch and to listen to, as well. And I am going to purchase them some new books when I go home too ! What a huge relief !
<Smiling a lot more often since yesterday>
Have a wonderful evening ! <smile>

Post 166. Tk
Oh, you think that everyone “comes up short on all accounts” who post in AIM! You insult people all the time with your holier than thou attitude. Well, just keep on living in your little fantasy world. <lol>

Diane,
Sorry for your loss, but it seems as though for you and your daughter(s) did get away from an abusive relationship, it is good that he got counseling before his death, as was finally able to have somewhat of a life, too bad he didn’t before you left him, but you did the right thing.
As with you, my In Laws (Mother and Daughter, my Sisters Husband who is in Law Enforcement) and the rest of their family were past Obama voters and believers, by subtle means when they visit us from Vermont, we would leave magazines and papers such as the Weekly Standard, the Wall Street Journal, and Newsmax lying around the house, and leaving Fox News on, so when they turned on the Televisions, bingo…Fox was already chosen.
Every last one of them have now changed parties. Especially since my Conservative Brother in Law would go to seminars in Massachusetts who has Universal Health Care, he is also a huge Boston Red Sox fan and would take the family to games. So for sports reasons, they subscribed to the Boston Herald. He learned that the Universal Health Care there was not only bankrupt, but Billions of dollars in debt that they could not pay their way out of…Yesterday, the other State trying Universal Health Care, Tennessee (TenCare) is also bankrupt to the tune of $58 Billion Dollars, in both States, the people cannot stand Universal Health Care, and want to go back to Private Health Care. But once it has been instituted, it is almost impossible to get rid of, something else the MSM has not mentioned.
So you and I are doing some good, I have converted many people, including Blacks with the help of my buddy down the street, a certified Conservative. Thanks to him, there are quite a few Black people who no longer trust Obama, and have started an Anti-ACORN project.
I have a timer set to record all of Glenn Beck’s shows on two different DVRs, once watched, I transfer the shows to my external 750GB external DVR Hard drive for safe keeping, in the event something goes wrong with the Receiver which contains the built in Hard DVR drive, by transferring them to the external drive, I will never lose the shows I have recorded, should I have to replace a dual receiver.
I have to laugh at what Ted Kennedy is trying to do, when the Republicans were in Power, and the Democrats took over both Houses in 2006, Kennedy had a Bill Passed that no one in in either House would not be able to choose a successor. Now that his is ill, and could possibly retire, he wants the law he created changed back to where you can choose your own successor, that is so typically Liberal.
Yet, unlike the Liberal sites who praise disease and death of Republicans, I wish Ted Kennedy wellness.
Now the ObamaCare are being given pamphlets and is on the VA (Veterans Affairs) for end of life counseling, such as if they are wheelchair bound, loss of limbs, serious ongoing problems from being wounder in wars, to think of other people and choose to end their lives. Sorry, but that is sick thinking, it is what is being offered to our Senior Citizens. Pathetic!!
As for last evenings Glenn Beck show, I already know about most of the Czars, especially Green Czar Van Jones, but I wonder why the fact he is an ex-con and self proclaimed Communist is not news regarding any of the MSM? But more Information on the Apollo Alliance, the Tides Foundation. I had already knew that the Apollo Alliance had written the Government Heath Care Bill, then turned it over to Congress (Pelosi), absolutely no one had even read the Bill once presented, so they were attempting to pass it Blindly in 48 hours, not having read a single page much less a single line.
Want to hear something funny, Alec Baldwin is considering moving to Connecticut to run against Joe Lieberman, he stated his experience was based on watching the television series, “The West Wing”, LOL, Never seen it…
Keep up the good in what is left of America.
Ps. There are some here you should never listen to, for they know not what they say.

Re: Post 168;
I never said “EVERYONE” who posts here “comes up short on all accounts”.
What I did say was that YOU come up short on all accounts.
(But I do apologize for singling you out; I absolutely should have included “Wesley In Dallas” as another poster here who comes up short on all accounts.)

Re: Post 169;
SNAFUmeister:
Another of your supposed statements of fact:
“...absolutely no one had even read the Bill once presented, so they were attempting to pass it Blindly in 48 hours, not having read a single page much less a single line…”
An idiotic (and false) statement.
The original House version of the bill was available for weeks and weeks for ANYONE (including you) to read - PLUS - the original version was channeled through four different House committees over a period of weeks - it was consequently modified several times in committee - and it came to include some 130+ amendments to it MADE BY REPUBLICANS and accepted by the Democratic majorities on those respective committees.
You make some of the most absurdly false statements ever made on this site while you’re pretending to some supposed “expertise” and searching for like-minded and sycophantic support that you apparently crave.

TK ...Your insults are so typical of liberals who are never able to deal with the truth ! You really do waste your time here. We just laugh at your bully stupidity. I am curious as to what you are getting paid per hour to spread your lies here, because I might be willing to pay you an extra dollar an hour if you would just stay inside your play pen. <lol> (And no sneaking the computer inside your play pen either!)<lol>

Re: Post 172;
Here’s some “truth” for you:
To me, many (if not most) of your posts sound silly at best and nutty at worst; in either case, they appear to be the posts of a not-so-objectively-well-informed partisan who is easily led astray, intellectually speaking, by any similar-thinking partisan pied piper who comes along peddling the propaganda you prefer to hear.
If you think your Post 172 sounds “intelligent”, “open minded” or “informed” - and if you think it is adult-sounding - then you are deluding yourself even further.
You have previously promoted YOUR right to “free speech” here. That’s what I’m engaging in. (I presume that I am as “entitled” as you?)

Wes, Thank you! Yes, I know that I did the right thing. Staying inside an abusive relationship is not a healthy way to raise children. And I am also glad that he got help and experienced happiness again during his last years.
Was happy to read that you have also turned some people around regarding their poliical views. Of course, I am not surprised at all that you have been able to do so. I have been doing the same in my community whenever I feel that the time is right and when I have an open window for discussion. I have been so amazed at the amount of Democrats in my community who have been expressing “buyers remorse” without my having ever said anything, however. They just began paying closer attention. Seems that so many began waking up right afer Nobama fired the president of GM. That scared them. I heard. And of course, by now, no one wants that lousy socialized health care package ; nor a Marxist style of govt. Many of my neighbors are Canadian snow birds who share the horror stories of Canadian health care. A couple of my neighbors have even gone so far to say, “We would rather have Bush back. That is how much this new guy is scaring us.” And more and more people are tuning into FOX news now , or listening to Lou Dobbs, so they tell me. So this gives me hope! And of course, I am feeling so much better now that my youngest daughter has awakened. I have been praynig so hard for this , but was amazed that it happened so soon after asking GOD to help my daughters to see the truth. Just goes to show what the power of prayer will do ! I do believe that my youngest daughter will lead my oldest daughter back into the light of truth soon too ! I feel as if I won’t need to worry so much about them if they are both aware and more prepared for what might be coming. Does that make sense ? Altough I wonder if any of us will ever feel completely prepared. <sigh>
I also heard last evening what you mentioned about Ted Kennedy. Yes, there is that old “liberal two- step” that they do so well ! They always want to change the rules in mid stream whenever it suits their personal agenda. Speaking of T.K. and “mid stream”, I always find myself laughing a little when Neo-conned refers to him as “The Swimmer.” That really was such a tragedy, however. Those Kennedy’s have always been able to get away with ......well, way too much !
The end of life pamphlets are disgraceful ! I heard about that yesterday too, but I will certainly check out that website. Thanks !
It is absolutely scarey about the corruption inside Apollo and Acorn. And the MSM should be reporting all of this, and I keep hoping that they will be forced to do so soon ! Sounds like the democrats in congress could become nothing more than a “front” for the wizards in APOLLO, who will be writing the bills, and making the rules, and rushing to destroy the constitution. I think that if they manage to get that health care bill through, that will be only the tip of the iceberg as to what horrible things are in store for the American people.
I also saw the news about Alec Baldwin. Just what we need, another nut case who thinks he has experience from watching a TV series ! <LOL> (I never watched the West Wing show either) And of course, we have Sotomyer (msp?) who read Nancy Drew books. And we also have Stuart Smalley from The Sat Nite Live Show, who never missed a Perry Mason show! And then we have Nobama and Hillary who became so much more inspired after reading Saul Alinsky ! What a mess!
Well, back to chores here and will be watching Glenn Beck. I wish I knew how to transfer the shows that I have recorded on my DVR over to tapes. I know that I am going to have to get busy and learn. My teenagers used to do those type of things for me, and I miss that ! <lol>

TK…..Well, enjoy your right to free speach while it lasts, because the administration that you defend is trying very hard to take that away from you, along with many of your other freedoms. (And by the way ...if you noted the “lol’s ” during that particular post, I was joking. Surely you must know that I would not spend money to keep you away!> LOL ! Lighten up, liberal ! I really decided that you were a nut case when you posted that the democrats made a big mistake by not going ahead and shoving that health bill through a long time ago before it was read and exposed to the American people. It is people like yourself who are allowing our freedoms to be destroyed, and you don’t even seem to realize what you are dong, which is extremely sad and sickening !

Re: Post 175;
I do not “defend” the administration!
I do defend “facts”, realities, practicalities, cooperation, collaboration, open-mindedness, an Independent political perspective based on informed, reasoned and objective opinion and perspective - and I DETEST ignorance, stupidity, blind ideological partisanship, and EXTREMISTS of all political stripes.
Personally, I believe almost EVERY politician, regardless of party, is corrupted by the very nature of his occupation - and I believe BOTH political parties as currently constituted - SUCK.
I also believe the Bush-Cheney administration was clearly the worst of the thirteen in my lifetime - and that, down the road, historians will label that administration one of the 2-3-4 worst.
I further believe that the current economic meltdown is the result of the adherence over the last 28 years to the fallacious concepts of Reaganomics - and the lack of sufficient and/or competent regulation of the financial services sector by the profligate Bush 43 administration. Obama is stuck trying to save a sinking ship that had VERY LARGE holes punched in it by the policies of Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton and, especially, Bush 43.
I have no patience for your particular brand of purely partisan and ideologically-based “fear and loathing”!
(And, note: I have NOT had a SINGLE “freedom” of mine “destroyed” by Obama or his administration.)
(Note also: You and your same-minded cohorts spend more time railing and writing about me and your silly assumptions thereof than you do intelligently posting about the specific topic at hand! That’s pretty weird.)

Obama’s using of Czars is being heard by the Supreme Court as to the constitutionality of using non-vetted people who were never intended to have any power or influence, of which he has now granted many of them.
It became a matter of Law when they have been caught using power that belongs to his Cabinet Members, and the fact that going on eight months, has yet to fill 43 Cabinet Positions, using the Czars to do their work. Knowing if he tried to get them officially into his Cabinet, they would have to be vetted by Congress, and NONE of them would have passed even the minutest bit of scrutiny.

Your comment:
“Yet”
Mindless fear, anxiety and paranoia about some possible presupposed occurrence of the future is a deleterious personal trait and runs contrary to more intellectual considerations.
Your comment:
“... If you would not continue to be a brat, we would not be spend “ANY” time writing about you! ...”
The idea of “bratdom” (like most of your fears) is not rooted in anything empirical but, rather, is a purely subjective and emotional concept. However, since they say that “ANY publicity is good publicity” - - by all means, keep writing about ME instead of the topic(s) at hand.
P.S.
And, if I’m a ‘brat” in your opinion - I’m still waiting for some word from you as to your perception of that a**hole “Tyler”?
Do you ADMIT to having a SEPARATE STANDARD for those who you perceive as “leftists” from the standard you apply to right-wing nutcases like “Tyler”?
Do YOU not have any fixed principals regarding the differentiation between my “bratdom” and his “a**holeness”?
Is there a difference between me calling you a “jerk” and a poster writing to another “I hope to meet you some day so I can put a bullet in your head”?
(Clearly, i believe you and your fellow posters (like C. Roy, Boston Beaner 49, et. al) will fail this test!)

Show me where YOU have gotten into the middle of any criticism against me?
For your information, I detest what Tyler said about a bullet in your head, and it was reported to AIM by me, okay! Although I do remember a sincere apology by him for saying what he did. But it did not stop me from reporting him, long before you got there. I have no idea how AIM will follow up on that, I have yet to get a phone call back.
But then again, do you even realized how many people you have torn into for just stating their opinion, and not even having anything to do with you are your posts?
I also noticed you did not accept his apology, but that is your business, I would like to know how it is mine? I did what was right, just as always.
Do you actually believe I read every post reply I receive, have any idea how many threads I am involved in? (most of which you have never been a part of, Paying Members at the Partner level get more blogs one can post on) I have yet to hear C.Roy or the others say anything except in response to you.

Wesley, I understand you reported me, and thats fine. I regret what I said and if aim wants me to go to jail for it I will. I hope aim will talk to me about it and also take into account that tk once told me to “save my parents the embarrasement and put a bullet in my head.” That is where my comment stimmed from. TK said that months ago he will probably deny it but its true. I also hope aim takes into account how tk is a bully and makes a mockery of the comment section and the articles. Wesley do you think I should be worried about this matter?

Tyler, with you sincere apology, I doubt AIM will take action, or I would have heard something by now. If TK said the same about you, since he is on the wire anyway, not sure what they will do. Possibly stop everyone from posting again.
They heavily depend on users contributing to the site to keep it up and going, which is why I continually donate what I can. Thus they do not have Moderators. I would volunteer to Moderate free of charge, but that would be a conflict of interest.
You know as well as anyone here that TK and I have very strong disagreements, it seems as though he actually hates me, whereas I just disagree with him and his politics, constant ripping of people who disagree with him, and his name calling. I also noticed he did not accept your apology to him, which may also go in your favor. If I were you, I would not worry, or you would have heard something by now. Your apology was sincere, a blind person could have seen that. I surely believed it was true from your heart, and would have accepted it without any hard feelings at all.
On the hate sites we have discussed here, mediamatters, the DailyKos, and so on, you can get away with saying anything if you are one of their own, which is why I refuse to post there.

Thanks Wesley. I wouldn’t say tk said the same thing about me he just basically said I should shoot myself. I know he will take offense to it if I don’t correct the record. It might sound corny but you seem like a really good guy Wesley and your insight to issues is unbelievable. I think you would have great success if you started your own blog or did politcal consulting. You should consider it. Thanks again.

Post #177 Wesley, Thanks for those websites. Hope to have a chance to read through those within the next couple of days in between my working hours.

Thanks all,
Running an Article type of blog would take too much time every day, plus a staff. Setting the site up, and getting pre-written articles (With Permission) from other sites would not be a problem, but then I would need income to pay for staff and Bandwidth, Commercial Routers, and several servers, that is not what I have been saving and playing the Markets and Money Markets all these years for…
I have to go for a Bone Marrow Aspiration (Biopsy), drilling through the bone is only slightly painful. It is when they extract the Marrow that feels like someone drilling a hole in a tooth and continue to pour Ice Water into it, but you kind of get used to it after awhile.
Tyler and Diane,
You guys have a good one, if I am up to it later I may return.
G’ Bye all.

Wes ....Will certainly be remembering you in my prayers today. (Hoping that awful pain doesn’t last long.) And will also be reading all the good info which you sent today.
And Tyler….Keep your chin up, and have a good day !

Re: Post 179;
I respect that you “detest Tyler’s comment” and convey a “Thank you” for posting your judgment of it.
Tyler has posted some other extreme, violent and absurd comments - emblematic, in my opinion, of someone with a serious problem. He has also said in a post that I supposedly made some similar comment to him somewhere along the way: THAT IS A LIE!
The worst comment I ever made to him - and that was following another one of his sick posts- was that he should “zip up your fly” - with the inference that he should stop his asinine ranting and raving.
If he’s a 12- or 13-year-old - or clinically mentally-challenged or emotionally unbalanced - then one might excuse his loser posts. On the other hand, if he’s at least an appropriately-reared and basically-educated adult - then THERE IS NO EXCUSE for his posting of violent or criminal threats.
In my opinion, he’s a sick puppy and is emblematic of the politically far-out-on-the-fringe whackjobs and nutcases that I detest (including similar anti-government, right-wing types apparently currently exercising their lack of intellect and emotional control at some of the so-called “town meetings” - and, of course, the equally out-of-control left-wing types of the protest movements of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s). I have never had any respect for these kinds of extremists. And, after one of these mental midgets and emotional morons exhibits such unadulterated hate as to cause him/her to threaten to “put a bullet in (somebody’s) head” - there is no such thing as an acceptable “apology” coming from such a mindless fool for being such an a**hole. (And, if someone made such a comment to me out on the street - I’d do everything I could right then and there to beat him to the punch!)
“Tyler” is personal non grata to me. Permanently. (And he’s a damned liar, now, too. Check the posts.)
AND I WILL REPEAT THIS TO YOU FOR AT LEAST THE TENTH TIME:
I DO NOT GET INTO IT WITH ANYBODY - UNLESS THEY START IT!
And, on this website, and, I believe among right-wingnuts in general, immediately attacking the messenger is the mindless tactic du jour! Review all the posts you want - but I NEVER start off calling anyone a name, engaging in sarcasm or attacking anyone personally - unless they have done that to me FIRST!
You’re a prime example of the problem: Several times I’ve said to you - “YOU give it up!” and then “I’ll give it up!” - but you continue to chastise me personally rather than just specifically arguing against some point I’ve made. In simple terms: I “rip” ONLY AFTER I’ve “first been ripped”! (And you can go back and look at all the posts you want to check that. If I’ve impersonally criticized some comment someone has made - there are those posters here who immediately degenerate into responding with name-calling or a personal attack - or those like “C. Roy”, “Boston Beaner 49”, and other similar mutts - who butt into some commenting going on between myself and someone else - and jump right in with the name-calling, sarcasm, and personal attacks. And, naturally, AS i’VE ALSO SAID TO YOU MANY TIMES - I AM GOING TO RESPOND IN KIND - hopefully even more stridently.
All of this dickering, of course, when occurring in some politically-based medium, is often the result of blind partisanship and polarization - wherein anyone NOT holding the party line or perspective - is immediately wrong and become “the enemy”.
And, personally, I believe that if AIM considers itself to be a serious, professional and law-abiding entity - it should permanently bar “Tyler” and other obviously violence-oriented extremists like him/her from its website.
And, further, and again personally and with serious consideration of the isse, I am absolutely confident that I have NEVER “hated” anyone - including you. There are plenty for whom I have no respect whatsoever; there are others (like “Tyler”) who I may consider beneath contempt; and there are yet others who I feel are so far out of the mainstream so as not to be taken seriously - and - my general response in these cases is to simply “dismiss the idiots” as not worth bothering with. Persona non grata. I wouldn’t waste any emotion of any kind for those who I feel aren’t worth bothering with.
Remember, the opposite of “Love” is NOT “Hate”! The opposite of “Love” IS - the ABSENCE OF LOVE.
So, for me, if I decide that within my perspective someone is a “complete jerk”, a “loser” or an “a**hole” - generally not any longer worth dealing with - I just mentally dismiss them or disassociate from them without any further thought about it or them.
You have criticized me for having “no conscious” - by which, I believe, you mean “no CONSCIENCE”. Regarding those people who, because of their unacceptable conduct or statements (statements like “Tyler” made), at least in terms of continued interaction with them, I simply dismiss them from my world as not worth bothering with - so you’re probably correct on that score - that I have no conscience regarding those who have shown themselves to be not worth bothering with. To coin a phrase - I could not care less about them in all regards.
As I’ve said many times before - if everyone plays politely and by the rules - I’ll play politely and by the rules. If, however, somebody goes off into some personal attack mode - I will respond in kind - and hopefully more stridently so. (Finally - take a hint!)

Re: Post 182;
Your statement:
“...I wouldn’t say tk said the same thing about me he just basically said I should shoot myself…”
Among your other shortcomings, “Tyler”, you’re a godd***d LIAR, too! The worst thing I ever posted to you was “Zip up your fly, Tyler!”
You start searching the AIM archives right now, Rockhead, to provide the black-and-white EVIDENCE that I EVER said, inferred, or even remotely hinted that “you should shoot yourself”!
“Diane” and “Wesley in Dallas” can pat your little pinhead all they want - but that certainly doesn’t elevate you or prove that you’re an acceptable person - all that proves is that they’re likely as unChristian and as much of a whackjob as you are!
(Judging by some of THEIR comments - they adjudge Obama as “trash” because of what they call his “trashy associations” with the likes of Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, et al. Consequently, for those who agree with that logic, it would be logical for both of them to now be adjudged as “trash” themselves for condoning and supporting YOU and YOUR “trash”!)
And you - now, all of a sudden, judging by this post of yours, you turn yourself into an ostensibly kind-sounding kissa** seeking sympathy from others? You’re a genuine blowhard piece of work!

TK, I don’t know what kind of world you live in but in my world most people are jerks. Wesley has proven himself to be genuine, smart and nice and I told him that he should start a blog and that I appreciate his writings whats wrong with that? It probably does seem a little odd coming from me but no I don’t have bi polar. As far as citing to the article when you told me to kill myself I’m not gonna do it. That would take as much time as a hoarder cleaning out his house. AIM can take my word or your word but just a couple days ago you were lying about viewers on cable news. You said msnbc and cnn combined have alsmost or as much viewers as fox and thats not true. I look at the nielson ratings on two left leaning web sites and fox puts them to shame. From this point on I’m not gonna post anymore I prefer to be in a good mood and not deal with this kind of crap. But apparantly its what you live for. I’ll apologize again for saying that about you I really regret it now especially seeing how often your bringing it up. I didn’t expect you to admit what you wrote about me but I got over it. You should do the same.

Re: Post #188 Tyler.. I really wish you would not leave. I certainly enjoy reading what you have to share.

TK ....Could you please make an effort to be a little more of a gentleman, and see if you can manage to make it through at least one day without attacking those with whom you disagree, or those who disagree with you ??? Just give it a try (if you possibly can), and see what happens.

Re: Post #177
Wes….It’s late. But wanted to let you know that I finally had a chance to read through all four of the websites that you shared. Learned a lot of new things. And I saved those good sites ! Thank you!
Hope all went well for you today.
Well, back to work here.

191 Diane,
Happy to hear you enjoyed them.
Post 186:
TK, I did mean “conscious”, as in aware, mindful, cognizant…also in conjunction of deliberate, premeditated, on purpose, willful…
As hateful as you are towards not only myself, but to the unsuspecting others, ONLY because they say something you vehemently disagree with. You have no debating skills, just condemnation. I can also prove you are the first to get most articles off topic.
Notice that I only reply to your hate filled posts toward me, WHEN I choose to do so; very often I just ignore them.
To Tyler’s credit, he not only sincerely apologized to you for the first remark, and then you later said of his comment:
“I wouldn’t say tk said the same thing about me he just basically said “I should shoot myself…”.
A comment I saw for myself in which you did say that to him. But instead of accepting his apology, you attacked him again, and again in this post #15:
“You’re a mental and moral midget who apparently has little intellectual ability and definitely no emotional control.
AIM is hypocritical in its posting policies: if they didn’t kick your sorry a** off after your Post 1 above - then ANYTHING GOES (at least anything goes as regards the “protected” rantings of a right-wing nutcase who makes the Mongol Horde look like a bunch of dreaded “Liberals”).
The only thing you “know” “Tyler” is how to exhibit uncontrolled motor-mouthed, gun-wielding and threatening rage against those who don’t think exactly as you do! You’re pathetic!”
——————
Had you accepted the apology, he would not had to reply to your condescending remarks, which would have not been needed had you done the right thing.
I did what I took the correct action, and you acknowledged my statement. As it seems to be apparent as AIM has. I have seen you berate him to the point to where all he was able to do was defend himself the best way he knew how (Other than the bullet comment).
Also, I have posted his apology to the site of the original comment.
I know how to run a web site, much, much larger than this one will ever be. I did the hiring and firing and ran the site for over six years, with 1.9 million “new” members, when I took it over, when I took it over there were only 232,000 members.

Yes !! Thank you AIM Moderator ! That is the kind of “CHANGE” that we TRUE Americans welcome!

Well, at least we can stay on topic in postings. Perhaps I should have reported TK sooner, it would have been much less frustrating.
Thanks AIM, most of the other dissenters I have came across have at least stayed on Topic.
—————-
Diane,
You can post without being put down for everything you say now.
——————
I have seen the newest AIM Email, but may not get to it until tomorrow.
I get really worn out these days, but I am changing Oncologists, the latest one I released. He could not figure out why the leukemia keeps returning (No one knows, but he had stopped giving me much needed Blood Infusions) which help keep my energy level up.
Take care all…

Great to hear from you, Wes! Still remembering you in my daily prayers, and will now be saying an extra prayer that your next Oncologist will take proper care of you.
And yes; It will certainly be so much more pleasant for all of us who post here not to have to deal with those terrible attacks from TK ! I must admit now that several times I had thought about not returning to AIM because of the stress and aggravation which he caused on a daily basis, but then I always soon thought that was perhaps what TK was so much hoping for; and so I refused to give him that satisfaction. Needless to say, he was certainly a strange and hostile character.
Hope you’ll have a very pleasant weekend, and feel better soon !

Diane,
Thank you for your support, Dr. Erwin is U. Of Texas M.D.Anderson Cancer Center certified, that saves me a very long and congested drive to the Downtown Medical Center. M.D. Anderson has the best Cancer Mortality rate in the world, it is a beautiful well planned and comfortable hospital I have ever been in, my Dr. there is Dr. Beran, considered to be the best Leukemia Doctor in the world. Yet my disorder was even a puzzle to him, but at least he did enough Marrow extractions to send to other very well known Cancer Specialists in the world. From the Mayo Clinic to Switzerland.
I would really hate not seeing you around, I enjoy reading your posts, you Neo, and I seem to all be on or near the same philosophy. We just do not buy into the Liberal tripe.
Today was the first day of the National TEA Party, beginning in San Francisco, to D.C., no matter what it takes, when it gets to Texas, I will be there. In the event that the ObamaCare passes in September, this new Oncologist has promised me a years supply of Procrit Vials and syringes. I use it sparingly as it is, so it could last me for years. (Immune booster). With the Diabetes, I am used to giving myself the stomach injections, when I do go for a visit somewhere, I just put both in the syringe (Insulin and Procrit).
I was able to make the one in San Antonio, where Beck was the last time. Ted Nugent did a great job on our National Anthem in his guitar. The MSM lied about who all was at the one in S.F. today, the interviews from people were from all political spectrum’s, even a few who claimed to be liberals.
Looking forward to having decent debates on the issues now that TK is gone. I do not think he knows how to change IP addresses, but he may get on with another name if he has access to a different IP. I think he became addicted to putting others down. LOL
You all take care, need to log off for late night international calls (actually very early morning). But I get up around 3:30 to 4:00am anyway.
Diane, did you get the new AIM newsletter? I will be looking at it tomorrow.
Good evening all.
Wes

Re: Post #198
Wesley,
Feeling under the weather since Sunday, and not well enough to be at the computer for very long. Just wanted to let you know so that you would not wonder what has happened to me.
Hope to be up and running again soon, especially since I will be going home to visit family soon.
And needless to say, have work to catch up on this week, as well.
Sounds like you have the best of the best in doctors and a good medical center too. That was so good to learn ! You are certainly in the right city. No doubt about that. And hopefully Obama care will not pass. We need some health care reform ,no doubt ; but certainly not his “killer” bill !
I watched the Tea party in San Antonio and Ted Nuegent on TV. Next time you attend a Tea Pary , you will have to wave to the camera. (lol) Do you have an AIM cap, or some other way to identify yourself ? (lol)
I am also anxious to watch the 3 hour special that Glenn Beck will be doing in D.C. on Sept 12th. Will be back in Indiana by then, and also hope to attend a tea party there.
Someday, I hope to be able to find a way to share a very funny story with you regarding the location of that IP ; and about my being appointed a temporary “monitor” position (lol) in another thread right before “they” were banned. And yes, hopefully they will not return using other names, but if they do, I believe we will soon be onto their game. <smile> Don’t you?
Also looking forward to more postings/debates and to reading the AIM newsletters when I feel a little better. Also hoping to find some free time to read and to post in AIM when I go home; but if not, I will be sure to return to AIM in October after my month long vacation.
Always wishing you well.
Take good care of yourself.
(BTY, I have decided not to take that swine flu shot. It sounds dangerous to me. Have heard several doctors on the radio lately advising people not to take the vaccine because it can easily cause neurological damage due to ingredients such as Mercury, as well as other complications. Sounds like a very strange vaccine. Are you hearing the same?)
Wishing everyone a good week/ and a good month ahead too, in case I don’t happen to make it back to AIM before Oct.
Bye Everyone.

Diane,
Thank you as always, but you need to take care of YOU! I only wish there was something I could do to help you, but I know there isn’t, so take very good care of yourself.
I also hope you have a great visit with your family, they are so important in our lives. Sounds as though you could use some rest and relaxation.
Oh, I was seen on the Beck TEA Party, I was wearing a white ball cap, with red stars on top and bottom of the Blue wording: “An American Patriot”. I had a sign which several had: TEA=Taxed Enough Already, and a tee shirt which I had printed here in Houston, it said: “NEVER TRUST ANYONE WHO PUTS THE USA DOWN”, on the back was an American Flag, with lettering above and below: “I served my Country…Why don’t you?”
My Wife was able to make the one here in Houston, but not the one in San Antonio, where I was born while my father was serving in the Air Force, based at Sheppard AFB. He flew B-29 Bombers in Korea.
I quit drinking about 15 years ago (Social Drinker) but had lost the taste for any alcohol, but if you ever make it to San Antonio, you must take some friends or family and experience the River Walk, you can ride boats or go on Dinner Boats, both sides of the river are crowded with Bars and Restaurants. The only part of the Alamo left is the Church and courtyard, where most of the war of Texas Independence was first fought. The other 10 sq. miles were destroyed. 189 men fought and killed 696 Mexican troops out of over 2,380, and held the Alamo for 13 days. The Texans beat Santa Anna in the Battle at San Jacinto in 1836, Texas had declared its Independence, and became its own country, The Republic of Texas.
Sorry about the history lesson. LOL
Diane,
Have a great time, and please take care, looking forward to October when you return.

Wes,
[responding to your post #11 from ]http://www.aim.org/don-irvine-blog/dems-push-back-with-reform-rallies/]
I agree that this Marxist ‘Imposter in Chief’ must be stopped. Thank goodness his undeserved, artificially media-created high poll numbers are dropping rapidly.
An interesting article from this past week on Obama’s mysterious, stealth background -
http://www.newswithviews.com/Stuter/stuter164.htm
Didn’t know about the stone-carvings at Rockefeller Center; very telling indeed. Add to that - John D. Rockefeller, Jr. donating the land that the UN would be built on.
<laughing> I guess you and I are smart enough in not inviting the likes of Kissinger and Trilateral co-founder Zbigniew Brzezinski to our holiday barbecues this weekend.
Couldn’t you just see the storm clouds on the horizon approaching during such a scenario?
Have a great weekend.

Hi Wes, and Neo… Wanted to let you know about the show on FOX this weekend called “Textbooks”.
Very important show ! Just this past week , I learned from a friend of mine that Muslim relgious leaders are visting govt schools and talking about The Muslim religion to our kids, and the schools are not informing the parents about this. Parents have only learned about it from their kids, and only if their kids have thought to share this information ! And no equal time is being given to any one from other religions either. And the show “Textbooks” focuses on this problem , as well as with the “white-washing” of our history books, or no history books being shown to kids at all ! This friend of mine wrote to Sean Hannity about this yesterday (about the Islam religion being sneaked in and taught), as well as some local radio shows. She tried to write Beck, but had trouble with his website.
I have also learned that many schools have a policy which does not allow kids to take their text books home from school anymore ! Hopefully many parents will be paying attention to this show “Textbooks” this weekend and investigating the textbooks inside their chidren’s schools. Wish so much that the media had shed some light on this serious problem many years ago. Better late than never, however.
Doing well. Feeling better. Working a lot. Going home next Thursday. Hoping that Southwest Airlines have fixed their defective parts problem by then. Saying prayers here.
I probably saw you on TV, Wes, but didn’t realize that was you, of course ! Perhaps next time! I liked reading about your patriotic attire !
Would love to visit San Antonio one day. I have had several chances to go, but the timing was never right. One day, I shall ! I can certainly see myself enjoying a glass of wine along the famous River Walk. And thanks for the History lesson. (No need to apologize) I always enjoy a history lesson. And I always know they are true, coming from you too! <smile>
And thanks Neo-conned for the websites which you shared ! Hope to have time to read those after work this evening.
Once again, if I don’t have time to write for awhile…..I will see you in October !
You take care too !!

Have a good time away, Diane…everyone needs a break and spend time with families, see ya when you get back…
Neo,
I just noticed the link you pointed out above, but that thread: Dems Push Back With Reform Rallies, has now been closed to comments before I was able to reply to you. Later that afternoon, I ended up in the ER when I logged off after my last comment, and had to endure a Chemo Treatment (that stuff is poison, but it works, I am just now feeling good enough to spend a couple of hours on the PC).
I had planned to reply to your Kissinger quote in your last comment. I had completely forgotten the words Kissinger wrote in support to the Trilateral Commission, and globalism.
That has changed my opinion of H.K., I just wonder if he is still in support of that commission? It seems as though with his recent interviews, do not seem to reflect his personal opinion. We do at times agreed to disagree, but I do have common sense, and researched his comment, thanks for the link…I really only care about the truth.
Therefore your point is taken on Kissinger. Almost four days of Chemo sickness, I did not feel up to using the PC for almost four days now.
I was happy to see Van Jones resign, (although it was leaked he was fired, but Obama agreed to allow him to resign rather than firing him. Too many racial comments, but what finally did it, was his singing the petition to call for an investigation that Bush had orchestrated the whole thing. No way in hell he could have done that and covered it up, something that serious surely would have been leaked like a sieve.
Hope you all had a good Labor Day holiday.
Wes

Wesley (#203)
<<“but what finally did it, was his [Van Jones] singing the petition to call for an investigation that Bush had orchestrated the whole thing. No way in hell he could have done that and covered it up, something that serious surely would have been leaked like a sieve.”>>
In all honesty, Wes, if my neck was placed under a guillotine and I was promised by my would-be executioners that my life would be spared if my declaration that [9/11 was an unforeseen event that caught the Bush administration by total surprise], was proven to be a TRUE, then such a ‘declaration’ would not be made by me.
Whether 9/11 was a surprise attack, or that the Bush administration knew that terrorists were planning to attack us and let it happen for cynical political motives, or that the administration carried out the attacks themselves because of dark, cynical political motives…...My answer to that would be - “I Don’t Know” .
As far as your belief that an orchestrated 9/11 could not be covered up - all one has to do is look at the ongoing media blackout by the establishment media and FOX News concerning the eligibility issue of the usurper. Despite the blatant suspicious actions of him investing over a million dollars in legal fees to prevent his personal records from being released, NO ONE, NOT EVEN FOX NEWS, REPORTS ON THIS!!
Look at the Kennedy assassination footage where it’s obvious that the fatal head shot came from Kennedy’s forward-right side, and not from behind (where the Texas School Book Depository was located), and the fact that Oswald was killed off by a mob-connected strip bar owner. To what extent Oswald was involved in the assassination, I don’t know, but to me it’s apparent that he was not acting alone. Maybe the bullet wound to the neck was attributed to him, but I doubt the fatal head shot was. Yet the media and political establishment say Oswald pulled off the whole episode himself.
I think my strongest case for not knowing whether or not there was government involvement in orchestrating the 9/11 attacks would be to bring up a topic that you and I touched upon further up on this thread - Lincoln and the Civil War.
From reading Tom DiLorenzo’s book “The Real Lincoln”, I am convinced that Lincoln, along with his cowardly, bestial, Nazi-like generals (Sherman and Sheridan being the most notorious of the lot) were outright enemies of the Constitution, war criminals, and resorted to a ‘by any means necessary’ strategy to secure ‘victory’ against a Confederate Army that they couldn’t subdue in conventional battle.
So they resorted to waging war on civilians in the Southern states. They pillaged, plundered, looted, and burned down entire towns and cities to destroy the Southern economy and starve out the women, children, and elderly while the younger men were off fighting against Lincoln’s federal troops.
All of these cowardly, barbaric acts to keep the South from their constitutional right to secede and to ultimately centralize power in Washington, greatly expand the size of the federal government, and to firmly establish British mercantilist policies of Lincoln and his Hamiltonian/Whig/Republican Party cronies. The socialist Keynesian economic policies we’ve suffered under since FDR are just an extension of those policies. The anti-slavery rhetoric by Lincoln was propaganda to keep the British from entering the conflict on the South’s behalf.
I vowed never to recite the “Pledge of Allegiance” ever again since DiLorenzo explained in the same book that it was written by an avowed socialist named Francis Bellamy. In essence, you’re ‘pledging your allegiance to a central government - “One nation, [indivisible].
Another words, succession is treason.
This is what we’ve been taught in our government-run public schools. This is why the media, Fox News, and both political parties have nothing but kind words when it comes to Lincoln, because of the big government monstrosity of corruption, corporate welfare, crippling regulations, etc. that he represented.
I pledge my allegiance to the Constitution.
So, when you consider the long-term conspiracy among the academia, media, and political establishment in covering up Lincoln’s atrocities on defenseless civilians for the ‘greater cause’ of what he REALLY represented, I can definitely keep my mind open to any possible conspiracy in relation to 9/11 as an extension of that ‘greater cause’. To me, the larger and more intrusive government gets, the more potentially ruthless its members become.

Sorry I haven’t responded sooner to your post as I’ve been busy uploading and converting file formats of various political videos. (Very time consuming!)
Hope all is going well with you in your busy schedule.

The unemployment rates continue to rise, but Rahm Emanuel is already telling us how peachy keen everything is. Regardless if we are all living in makeshift shelters on public land or not, the usual suspects will be telling us how well the stimulus package is working.
There is hope, however, despite having a lock on the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, The Democrats are busy blaming the Republicans for holding up legislation. That translates to the Democratic leadership being confronted with troublesome questions from their constituencies. Perhaps they are commenting on the Emperor’s new clothes.
