Dems Gunning for 60 Seats in Senate

By Don  |  October 4, 2008

What seemed impossible juts a few months ago may now be plausible if recent polls are correct.

From the Politico.

The possibility that Democrats will build a muscular, 60-seat Senate majority is looking increasing plausible, with new polls showing a powerful surge for the party’s candidates in Minnesota, Kentucky and other states.

A poll out Friday shows Sen. Norm Coleman could now easily lose his Minnesota seat to comedian-turned-candidate Al Franken. A Colorado race that initially looked like a nail-biter has now broken decisively for the Democrats. A top official in the McCain camp told us Sen. Elizabeth Dole is virtually certain to lose in conservative North Carolina.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky has seen his race tighten dangerously close over the past week — and Democrats are considering moving more money into the state very soon. And there is even talk that Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss is beatable in conservative Georgia after backing the economic bailout package opposed by many voters.

“Before the economic crisis, we had a number of races moving our way,” said Matthew Miller, communications director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. “But now we’re seeing Republican numbers plummet.” GOP officials largely agree.

If the Democrats manage to get to the magic number of 60 it won't matter much if they win the White House or not.

ooohh wouldn’t that piss you off?  The end of the “republicon revolution” didn’t even last 12 years.  Really pathetic, truly sad.  Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha.

And the sad part is the Democrats, if they do gain the 60 seats, will have got it off the economic crisis, and they were the heart of the problem with their socialist PC intervention in the markets.  But then what else is new, the Democrats always get their wins through lies, lies and lies.

Careful with your gloating, Bob Lees, ten days ago McCain was ahead, and Obama and Democrats may be making big hay over what they caused being dumped on all Republicans and McCain, but it is STILL 30 days until the elction, and gloating always comes back to haunt ya.  The last time you people gloated, after your convention, in the matter of days, McCain, after his convention had managed to take the lead and mostly kept it until conveniently the perfectly timed economic crisis unfolded.

And isn’t it convenient that the crisis happened just when it did?  And the CEO’s of Fannie and Freddie are big muchy mucks in Obama’s campaign - Johnson and Raines.

So careful, Bob Lees, a whole lot can happen in 30 days - and it means you still have to cover up for Obama’s leftist socialist communist ties for that entire 30 days - and the s**t is starting to hit the fan - as Americans learn more about what Obama is really about - in spite of MSM’s being in the tank for Obama and covering for him - the truth just may get out there - and if it does, Obama is toast and in the matter of days it can all turn around again.

So work hard Bob Lees, because you need to do a whole lot of lying and cheating in the next 30 days to keep the American people hoodwinked - and that’s a long time to keep the cover on your scam.

There was a time when the immortal words of JFK, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” meant something.  We are now a country of ask not what YOU can do for your country, ask what your country can do FOR you.  And as long as that is true, those that promise the most will get elected.  The saddest thing is that those of us with brains and know what’s going on will also suffer for those who don’t.  When people are struggling to keep a roof over their head, food on the table and gas in their car, it’s not right that they should be the same ones who are paying for those that NEVER should have gotten home loans in the first place.  And it’s due to those like Maxine Waters (D) CA, the Clintons, the Obamas, and other democrats and I’m sure there are a few Republicans in there as well who are responsible for it.

What we need is a citizens committee to look into what happened in the housing market.  There would be an INDEPENDENT prosecutor with the ability to subpoena anybody and anything and also the ability to arrest people.  Oh well.

Obama may well be not only the FIRST black president, he could also be the LAST president of this once great nation.

Comment to Bob Lees

After eight years of the Clintons, we learned that oral sex isn’t sex, that’s it’s okay to demean the Oval Office and it’s okay to lie.

And in case you’ve forgotten:  Clinton WAS impeached.  He just wasn’t removed from office because the snively congress wasn’t willing to do it.

His administration, to show force after numerous attacks on US interests overseas, bombed an aspirin factory.  This embolded the terrorists so much that we got to wake up one September morning to find they had struck the Twin Towers in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, DC and if not for the brave actions of the crew and passengers of Flight 93 would also have struck in Washington, DC.

Under the Bush administration there has only been one attack, and that recently, because he took the war to them.

Let’s see what happens within the first few months of an Obama administration.  Will he be able to say the same?
