CBS News anchor Katie Couric sat down with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the state of America-Israeli relations.
Coruic’s Obama bias came through quickly when she asked Netanyahu if he couldn’t help improve the president’s image in Israel.

Couric: Do you trust Barack Obama?
Netanyahu: I trust Barack Obama, President of the United States to carry out with me the policies that have joined Israel and the United States. And what Barack Obama has called the “unbreakable bond.” We have common goals, common interests. And we now have a job to do to get on with our common goal of achieving peace with security. I trust we’ll be able to do that together.
Couric: While you want to accentuate the positive, clearly, that’s part of your mission here in the United States, surely there have been disappointments with Obama Administration. Can you just be candid with me and tell me how the administration has disappointed you?
Netanyahu: You know, you remind me of the Israeli press. They say, “How come you had a good meeting with President Obama?” Well, because I did. Because we actually see eye to eye on some central issues. The quest for peace. The danger of Iran. The need to bolster security- for Israel and the region. That’s the truth. We do see it. Have we had differences? Of course we have. But I think the differences …
Couric: Some awkward moments?
Netanyahu: Yeah, of course, we’ve had. So what? Even they are magnified and distorted. I think the president has a fine mind. And I can relate to it.
Couric: Can you explain this to me then? In a poll conducted a month ago, just a month ago, 71 percent of the Jews in Israel surveyed said they dislike President Obama – 47 percent expressed a strong dislike.
Netanyahu: Well, maybe they don’t have the opportunity to have the kind of conversations that I had. And maybe they’re not aware also the ongoing cooperation between Israel and the United States. In the fields of security, intelligence – the fact that-the Iron dome program to protect against missiles is something that has been bolstered by this administration and by this president. We have a common goal to achieve a secure peace. I’m looking forward to working with him to achieve it.
Couric: Well, to change public opinion in your country, should you be more strongly advocating on his behalf?
Never mind that Obama’s negative ratings in Israel are of his own doing, for liberals like Couric it’s up to the very man whom Obama snubbed less than four months ago to help the president repair his image.
Hopefully Netanyahu will stand firm and let the president fix his own problems.
For some odd reason I get the feeling that Couric wouldn’t have asked that question if George Bush’s ratings had been in the tank.

I would think Couric should be thinking how she and all the other lame stream media could be reporting truthfully so I and others would want to watch them.

71%, 47%? Israelis are smarter than Americans, no doubt about that.
Obama explained his own low ratings the other day saying that people in Israel just don’t like him cause his middle name is “Hussein”. How typical of our President to deride his critics as ignorant racists.

He had a guest a while back,who said that he believed BHO was above it all,,like a God,,& CM kept saying “Yeah,yeah,,” Well, that same guest(whose name I’ve forgotten) was asked 2-3 years ago during Bush43,what his job was & he said it’s to trash the President. The media has an obligation to support Obama even if that means burying their heads in the sand.
Couric is no stranger to this concept.
Voters on the other hand have to deal with the facts from their personal perspective.And that sir is the beauty of a democracy.Calling a spade a spade is more than politics; it is essential.
Obama has to face his demons and no amount of spin by the Liberal media can change that fact.
I will say this of Obama administration.They need no introduction to media cooperation, it is this same media that helped to elect them.
The president and his policies must reflect the reality on the ground for the common good and not a distorted view of reality that can only lead to dire global consequences.
