This is insane. Why are we encouraging more illegals to such up our resources? It cost the taxpayers roughly $125,000 to educate one illegal through high school. The average illegal household is about 5 kids. That means we pay about $625,000 just in education costs to get one families kids through high school. Our schools are horrible with kids getting beaten if they don’t act Mexican enough or threatened it they wear an American Flag t-shirt, and the time spent on students who don’t speak English has brought down our achievement levels to those of a third world.

I feel like a foreigner in my own town, because so few speak English. Yet this country has spent over a billion dollars on ESL classes (not the classes in our schools or colleges, these are just for adults)just for the parents of the illegal students, but the parents don’t want to attend the classes. They show up for one or two classes and then they’re never seen again.

Enough of the sob stories, and using guilt to make our citizens feel bad that we want it stopped. Our tax dollars have been used for Chicano/Raza/MECha studies classes and such that teach how to overthrow our country with just pure hate for the USA and the “gringo”. We need to stop this stuff, all of it.

To Jeanjeanie #1 You remind me of Jeanfromfilmore,,you & her would both be RIGHT when it comes to this subject. Back in ’64-’65 I attended Public HS from Sept.to June,,my sophomore year.This school lacked discipline in most areas,,they just pushed you along.We played ‘hooky’ more there than in all others schools attended in 15 years combined. My group of buds all applied to Catholic schools for our last 2 years to graduate in 4 years,then get on with life. Discipline & order was the KEY for teachers to control the class & for students to learn. My 3rd grade teacher left to teach in public school in the late 60′s-early 70′s. We saw her back in Cathoilc School after less then 5 years,& asked why?? She said that the students will not behave, refuse to obey, don’t care about school, & constantly threaten teachers,,& this is in GRADE school.She also said they were stupid compared to Other students & their parents come from countries with poor,if any education system & they expect the TEACHERS to do what they cannot. This was in the 60′s,,,can you imagine what the GOOD teachers,NOT the union suckups,BUT the GOOD teachers must be dealing with today???
In NYC years ago in Bi-Lingual Edu.,,,students were taught all subjects in Spanish (ONLY) up to the 5th grade,,,then taught all-over AGAIN in English,after 5th grade,DUH!!! What is wrong with this picture???

Having grown up in SoCal my take on Illegals was If you planned to stay and make a life here as an American I could look the other way. Now I see people come here to Educate the kids, get their teeth fixed, make some money and go home rich and educated. Wrong! Give them our Civil Rights and speak their language and adopt their customs, wrong again. This is my country and my customs and my first language is American English. I also speak Spanish, Russian, and Vietnamese; I learned, they can learn. You want the benefits of the USA, become one of us. You don’t, then go away, now. My family emmigrated from Mexico 95 years ago, legally, and became as American as socity would allow in its day. Yeah I lost my “Culture”, and I’m a “Tio Taco”, but I wouldn’t know how to behave in Mexico because I’m not a Mexican, ask my family in Mexico. I speak Spanish because I visit,they speak English because they visit too.
