Accuracy in Media

You couldn’t fault Donald J. Trump for concluding that the CIA is out to get him even before he starts his presidency. Former CIA officials Michael Morell, Michael Hayden and Philip Mudd have all denounced him. Plus, former CIA operations officer Evan McMullin ran against him as an independent presidential candidate.

Obama’s director of the CIA is John Brennan, who recently disclosed that he voted for the Communist Party (CPUSA) ticket when he was in college. He was hired by the CIA anyway and quickly rose through the ranks, even though the CPUSA was funded by Moscow and known to provide cover for Soviet espionage activities.

The liberal media haven’t made Brennan’s disclosure into a scandal and didn’t call for any investigations of Obama’s CIA.

Clearly, having an “intelligence” connection doesn’t mean you are intelligent or have good judgment. Making “America First” is not a requirement for serving in the CIA and other intelligence agencies. You can have numerous skeletons in your closet and even be a transgender. If you have any doubts, consider reading the CIA’s “Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (2016-2019).” It is Brennan’s masterpiece.

The line-up of former CIA personnel opposing Trump sounds impressive, except when you consider the fact that the CIA has a habit of getting things wrong. The late Democratic Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a former vice-chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, once declared that “for a quarter century, the CIA has been repeatedly wrong about the major political and economic questions entrusted to its analysis.” Moynihan had introduced a bill to abolish the CIA. The late Lt. Gen. William Odom, then-director of the National Security Agency (NSA), said the CIA should be disbanded.

Trump critic Michael Hayden, who served as director of both the NSA and CIA, was on a list of “former national security officials” from Republican administrations who announced they wouldn’t vote for Trump. He was once photographed at a gala with former CIA and NSA analyst Edward Snowden, who stole and released classified information and is now living in Russia. Hayden can’t be faulted personally for that betrayal. But Snowden and other spy cases have to be considered when judging the reliability of products from the intelligence community, especially when they are transmitted anonymously through the press.

Under the headline, “CIA Judgment On Russia Built On Swell Of Evidence,” The New York Times reports that “many believe” there is “overwhelming circumstantial evidence” that the Russians tried to help Trump. The paper said “the conclusion that Moscow ran an operation to help install the next president is one of the most consequential analyses by American spy agencies in years.”

Such analyses can mean nothing and can, in fact, divert the attention of elected officials from the truth. Trump calls the verdict on alleged Russian involvement in the election “ridiculous.” It would not be the first ridiculous work product from the intelligence community. The CIA failed to predict the Soviet “collapse,” and then mistakenly assumed the collapse was real and not a strategic deception.

It is significant that The Washington Post, owned by Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, broke the story about the CIA allegedly concluding that the Russians had somehow meddled in the U.S. elections by hacking into Democratic Party computers. The CIA has a $600 million contract with Amazon Web Services.

Former Post publisher Katharine Graham reportedly gave a speech in 1988 at the CIA headquarters, where she said, “We live in a dirty and dangerous world. There are some things that the general public does not need to know and shouldn’t. I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take legitimate steps to keep its secrets and when the press can decide whether to print what it knows.”

If this was the case under Graham, the previous owner of the Post, how likely is it that such a relationship continues under an owner of a company that does business with the CIA?

Interestingly, Amazon CEO Bezos plans to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s meeting of tech-industry executives this Wednesday in New York. Perhaps Trump will ask Bezos whether the Post is being manipulated by political partisans in the Intelligence Community.

Trump has tweeted, “Can you imagine if the election results were the opposite and WE tried to play the Russia/CIA card. It would be called conspiracy theory!” Or “fake news.”

In response to the CIA’s reported findings, the Trump transition office raised the matter of another mistake: “These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.”

The discredited analysis concluding that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction (WMD) is most closely associated with former CIA director George Tenet. A Clinton holdover, Tenet had told President George W. Bush that finding WMD was a “slam dunk.” He was photographed giving an award to then-DIA intelligence analyst Ana Montes, who turned out to be a Castro spy. Again, Tenet is not personally responsible for this betrayal. But it is one of many spy cases that have corrupted the Intelligence Community.

President Bush’s problem was that he failed to clean house in the Intelligence Community before the war.

After he takes office, Trump should immediately clean house in the CIA and other intelligence agencies. But it may be the case that the charges being directed against him at the present time are designed to prevent just that. If Trump cleans house, he will be accused in the press of trying to purge intelligence officials with evidence of a Russian plot to elect Trump!

The American people have been saddled with an Intelligence Community that is full of what are called “insider spies.” The situation is so bad that a special paper has been published about a novel new way to deal with traitors. The idea is to provide a “safe refuge” and a secret process of “reconciliation” for them without threatening long prison terms or the death penalty. In this manner, the American people would hear nothing about spies being arrested and the damage they have done.

We know that the media picked sides in the presidential contest. Now we are seeing more evidence of how the CIA picked sides, to the point of engaging in what is an obvious effort to bring down the Trump presidency even before it begins.

C’mon. “Once photographed at a gala…” is the standard for criticism?

You want to add up the list of controversial people Trump was once photographed with?

And if getting WMD wrong is disqualifying — somebody better tell the President-elect that John Bolton (widely considered a likely Deputy Secretary of State) not only pushed the WMD story then — but STILL thinks the Iraq war was a good idea.

Brennan should be executed and its work trashed. Having a muzzie heading up the CIA is putting a fox in charge of the henhouse.

  • Liberals have done for a lot less. Go blow Hillary’s nose, you dipstick.

  • reb

You trust PUTIN more than the CIA or the Democrats??? You are becoming as crazy as Trump…take a deep breath and rethink and come to your senses otherwise We -all of us stand No chance against Putin who is smarter and more evil than the CIA, the Democrats and Republicans combined!

  • Ted

So, the Russian’s war on Clinton is OK … but the CIA’s war on Trump isn’t?

Plus, the nincompoop GOPs would be a lot better off in terms of publicity if they claimed the Rooskis hacked them, too. The way it is now … they’re screaming they “weren’t hacked” … so that maybe confirms the Rooskis were trying to damage Clinton … but not hurt Trump … and … maybe in league with the Trump campaign. (?) Nutty.

Brennan is a peice of crap but, as far as the CIA being at war with Trump, it is the Obama Administration. He has used every agency under his command to do his bidding. You will see just how bad it was when Obama is out of Office.

  • pyoyo

Maybe the “GOP nincompoops” protected their systems while the Dumbocraps left there’s wide open to the hackers whomever they may have been.

Brennan should be fired immediately. He has played into Obama’s agenda and has for too long betrayed the United States and the American people. He is literally bought and paid for by Obama and he has disgraced the CIA. I never thought it would come to a time in this Nation when the FBI and CIA can’t be trusted because they are under the political corruption of the administration. They’ve joined a witchhunt to try to demonize Donald Trump even though he is our president-elect and people need to buckle up and accept that. They support Hillary Clinton’s lawlessness and the atrocities that she’s done against this Nation and the American people and refused to indict her but they continue to attack and try to demean our president-elect Donald Trump. Wake up America we can’t let this continue. It’s more than time to clean the swamp and if that involves CIA and FBI so be it because they have betrayed us and the United States for way too long

Hillary failed at the recount level. Now she’s moving into coup d’etat mode.

Perhaps now people will recognize the importance of the Second Amendment….

As for the members of the Electoral College wanting top security clearance – – – they
have no more and no less rights than the general public to confidential information.
Electors are entitled to cast a vote. Period.

After recounts fail, Hillary moves into full coup mode. Keep your
    powder dry ?

    ——————————————————————————————————————–

Clinton campaign backs call for intelligence briefing before Electoral College vote
“The bipartisan electors’ ( BIPARTISAN ??? 9 Democrats and a renegade Republican !!!)
letter raises very grave issues involving our national security,” Podesta said in a statement Monday.

I guess Hillary set the new standards for security clearance – – – to Hell with security vetting. To Hell with Top Secret. Anything ( and I’m afraid I do mean “anything” ) is acceptable to prevent Trump from taking office ,,,

The U.S. State Dept. has been infested with communists since WW1 and Woodrow Wilson, they tried to steal the Russian elections for their comrades in the Russian Communist Party through non-profit n.g.o.s… just like at home in America… But Vladimir Putin beat them, so they launched a fággot jihad against the Russian Orthodox church over the punk rock band and the Olympics (something Bítch Romney stupidly piled onto)… Miss neo-kabbalah lesbian Madonna, now rumored to be a Muslim convert, was flown in to agitate while Hillary was on a world-wide gay pride tour.

When the Iron Curtain fell down the Bolsheviks all fled to the other side because they knew what the Russians would do to them after 100 years of communism. The best thing about Russia getting Crimea back… Catherine the Great took it from the Turks… What happened right after Russia retook Crimea? The Russian FSB searched all the Turks living there… Why? Because NATO sponsors Islamist terrorism when it suits them to.

The leaker and Julian Assange should be nominated for and awarded a Pulitzer Prize in Journalism for exposing the underhanded workings of the DNC and the Clinton Campaign. The leaked emails of a private citizen and a non-government political committee are not breaches of national security and there have been no assertions that they are not legitimate musings of the targeted individuals. They are much less damaging to national security than were the classified Pentagon Papers stolen by Daniel Ellsberg from the DOD and leaked to the NYT’s Neil Sheehan, the lead reporter, who with the paper were awarded a Pulitzer. The dirty dealings of the DNC and the underhanded press indolent as a co-member of the Clinton 2016 campaign are noteworthy and opened American voter’s eyes to just how slimy the DNC, Hillary, John Podesta and the US legacy media are. The leaker and WikiLeaks did America a great service and should be commended. Trump should pardon Assange and the NSA leaker when he or she is identified.

Obama said in October 2011 almost all troops would be home by Christmas. About 200 Marines would stay to train the Iraqi army and act as security for diplomatic personnel. In short, he kept the 2011 timeline Bush and al-Maliki had chosen.
When it came time to renegotiate a new agreement, there was little consensus on whether a residual force should stay in the country. Military leaders in Baghdad and the Pentagon pushed for as many as 24,000, but the White House rejected that amount. (For the record, U.S. forces in South Korea number more than 28,500.)
Obama reportedly did consider leaving up to 10,000 troops in strategic locations after the exit, but that plan faced opposition both in the United States and in Iraq. Obama ruled out a force that size during an August 2011 conference call.
Negotiations led to the idea of a smaller, continuous force of 3,500 troops, with up to 1,500 more rotating in and out, and about a half-dozen F-16’s. But this plan ran into several roadblocks, including the insistence by Washington that those troops be immune to Iraqi — although not American — prosecution should they commit a crime.
Austin Long, a Columbia University international and public affairs professor, said al-Maliki allegedly supported the residual force and may have signed a new plan, but the Iraqi parliament would not. Facing the prospect of a weak agreement that didn’t protect remaining troops the way the United States wanted, when neither Baghdad nor Washington wanted to leave them there, negotiations broke down. No new agreement was reached, and no residual force was formed. There has been plenty of debate whether it was Washington or Baghdad that was more intractable on a new agreement.

Which is a lie and now the CIA has found Russian intervention in our elections along with the FBI. Now they are no good. Trump is not fit or qualified to be President along with his appointees. There is a segment of people that are low information voters. It made no difference how ridicules trump got, it didn’t matter to his base. He got so ridicules that the media carried him 24/7 just to see what he was gong to say stupid that day. He got billions of dollars of free coverage.
I call Trump voters Trump Booboisies A class of people regarded as stupid and gullible. these people didn’t want to hear intelligent debate but instead the hundreds of sound bites which meant nothing, no content.

Former CIA Morell suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin has successfully co-opted Trump’s message in complimenting the political neophyte and getting exactly what he wanted in return with more praise even in light of his strongman tendencies toward journalists and dissidents.
“In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation,” Morell wrote.
Morell laid out “two strongly held beliefs” that led him to the conclusion that Clinton should be president. The first of those, Morell explained, is that Clinton is “highly qualified” for the job and “will deliver on the most important duty of a president — keeping our nation safe.”
“Second, Donald J. Trump is not only unqualified for the job, but he may well pose a threat to our national security,” he continued, noting his work with Clinton in her capacity of secretary of state and her resolute advocacy of the raid that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden in 2011.
Trump “has no experience on national security,” Morell wrote.
“Even more important, the character traits he has exhibited during the primary season suggest he would be a poor, even dangerous, commander in chief,” Morell said, naming Trump’s “obvious need for self-aggrandizement, his overreaction to perceived slights, his tendency to make decisions based on intuition, his refusal to change his views based on new information, his routine carelessness with the facts, his unwillingness to listen to others and his lack of respect for the rule of law. The dangers that flow from Mr. Trump’s character are not just risks that would emerge if he became president. It is already damaging our national security.”

Holocaust happened, man landed on moon, 9/11 might not have happened if Bush had read his cables and intel reports like Trump also refuses to take seriously, it might have been stopped. If the Russians are already controlling your elections , you don’t have any National Security ! I mean come on – China , Russia and Wiki Leaks use the U.S. governments data system like it was their own personal roll of toilet paper – Article – Pentagon Paying China — Yes, China — To Carry Data — https://www.wired.com/2013/04/china-pentagon-satellite/ Yeah – Trump could be beneficial to Russia but in truth most American’s support Russia over U.S. policies in Syria = @ I don’t think Tillerson will end up heading the State Department but theirs some big money behind trying to open up those energy sources in Russia – Halliburton still has an office in Russia and this has all came from an alignment in the GOP that was formed under the Bush administration so blaming Trump for it’s existence isn’t very realistic – https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2014-07-29/energy-companies-gear-up-for-more-pain-in-russia-with-sanctions Trump doesn’t seem as radical as the DNC – It’s premature actions to act on EU commands and begin policing the media sent flags all over America – George Soros continues working with Facebook and other media sources to create a facilitation of hardline censorship and it has been a long term goal of George Soros to destroy America and turn it’s empowerment over to an European command ! He remains Hillary’s largest supporter financially ! So your comparing people that want to capitalize on a market to the DNC which is looking to destroy the nation to carry out their singular global goals ! Trump was locked out of making any open political policies with Russia so his hands are kind of tied now so to speak ! Our nation remains in a very scary place and Congress needs to get a hold of the nation and it’s electoral program ! Allowing Obama to use his office to try to control the electoral votes of the election through communist propaganda should also be answered by congress – That’s probably one of the worse forms of communist propaganda that’s ever been used in an America election to try to control the outcome or to change it’s results by a political office ! http://projects.washingtonpost.com/top-secret-america/articles/a-hidden-world-growing-beyond-control/ And in the last note – Didn’t John Brennan pull a communist voting ticket in his college days ? Looks like old habits die hard !

What I think is even more alarming is the effort to defame the Clintons. Kind of sad when you think that republicans have invested over $80 million dollars of taxpayer money into discrediting the Clintons.
The right wing seems to take as
gospel right wing comment from People like Judge
Napolitano, Political insider to just mention a couple of
hundreds. 95% lies and distortions. “scrutiny” is not
even the right word. That implies a degree of
thoughtfulness. What they’re doing is mindlessly repeating
any hackneyed accusation that comes up without bothering to
    question it’s veracity.
Anybody heard of the Clinton Scandal
Paradox, for lack of a better word? It’s a form of
    cognitive
dissonance that infects many Bubble People. Let me
    explain
    it.
There is a small minority of gullible
    nonthinkers and
confused conspiracy theorists who believe that
    Hillary
Clinton is guilty of some ethereal set of
    crimes or
unethical behavior. They are unable to articulate
    what the
crimes are because they only exist in a muddled state
    of
chaos in their confused imaginations. They were
    implanted
    by
right-wing propagandists and their media accomplices.
    I
realize that, to confused conservatives, nothing
    needs to
make sense, logic is turned upside down, common sense
    is
    the
first thing thrown out the window, and trying to
    reconcile
actual facts with the confusion that they live with
    on a
daily basis is not exactly a priority.
Here’s a CHALLENGE. How do you nonthinkers
    rationalize the
fact that there is not now, and never has been, any
    proof
that Hillary Clinton is guilty of any of the crimes
    and
unethical behavior that YOU have allowed yourselves
    to be
brainwashed into believing by your idiotic
    right-wing
    idols?
Don’t be mindless sheep and go
    rebleating the right wing
lies and disinformation that you have been
    brainwashed to
believe. They are NOT PROOF!!!!! I ask for PROOF, not
    the
    lies and disinformation, itself.
A day after endorsing Hillary Clinton for president – and
hours before Clinton and Trump will face off in the first
    of
three presidential debates – the New York Times has
published an editorial warning Americans of the
    potentially
disastrous consequences of a Donald Trump presidency. The
Times, which on Sunday called Trump “the worst nominee put
forward by a major party in modern American history,”
    makes
its case simply by presenting facts about Trump’s record:
    He
has encouraged violence against his opponent, admires
demagogue Vladimir Putin and advocates water boarding
    those
suspected of committing terrorism, though it is an
international war crime. Though he promotes the image of
being a successful businessman, Trump has “a record rife
with bankruptcies and sketchy ventures,” like Trump
University, which is being investigated for fraud, and he
may be in violation of U.S. tax law by taking over
    $250,000
from the Trump Foundation to pay for his own legal fees.
Trump constantly contradicts himself and spreads
misinformation, frequently disparages people of color,
immigrants, and women, and supports xenophobic and racist
policies like stop-and-frisk and a ban on Muslims.
As the Times writes, Trump will be an “agent of change,”
    but
voters must ask themselves: of what kind?:
“ There can be little doubt of that. But voters should
    be
asking themselves if Mr. Trump will deliver the kind of
change they want. Starting a series of trade wars is a
recipe for recession, not for new American jobs. Blowing a
hole in the deficit by cutting taxes for the wealthy will
not secure Americans’ financial future, and alienating
    our
allies won’t protect our security. Mr. Trump has also
    said
he will get rid of the new national health insurance
    system
that millions now depend on, without saying how he would
    replace it.
The list goes on: He would scuttle the financial reforms
    and
consumer protections born of the Great Recession. He would
upend the Obama administration’s progress on the
environment, vowing to “cancel the Paris climate
agreement” on global warming. He would return to the use
of waterboarding, a torture method, in violation of
international treaty law. He has blithely called for
reconsideration of Japan’s commitment not to develop
nuclear weapons. He favors a national campaign of “stop
and frisk” policing, which has been ruled
unconstitutional. He has blessed the National Rifle
Association’s ambition to arm citizens to engage in what
he imagines would be defensive “shootouts” with
    gunmen.
He has so coarsened our politics that he remains a
    contender
for the presidency despite musing about his opponent as a
    gunshot target.
The Times is hoping to convince independents and undecided
voters not only that a Trump presidency would be
unfathomably bad for this country but that Clinton is
uniquely well-qualified for the job. In Sunday’s
    endorsement
    of Clinton, the Times wrote:
“ But this endorsement would also be an empty exercise
    if
it merely affirmed the choice of Clinton supporters.
    We’re
aiming instead to persuade those of you who are hesitating
to vote for Mrs. Clinton – because you are reluctant to
    vote
for a Democrat, or for another Clinton, or for a candidate
who might appear, on the surface, not to offer change from
an establishment that seems indifferent and a political
    system that seems broken.
Running down the other guy won’t suffice to make that
argument. The best case for Hillary Clinton cannot be, and
is not, that she isn’t Donald Trump.
The best case is, instead, about the challenges this
    country
faces, and Mrs. Clinton’s capacity to rise to them.

  • Edwinutz, your memory sucks! Bush had been in office, what, eight months when the fit hit the shan. Boy Clinton, on the other hand had a chance to collar Osama and passed. He spent his eight years in office playing with his pecker and raping women. Grow up and get over it.

  • edwin

Clinton fired dozens of cruise missals against Bin Laden, sometimes missing by an hour or so. he had been in office for 8 months or so but it was his failure to read his cables and Intelligence reports that he miss the threats. that is irresponsible and invading Iraq was criminal.

  • Brennan is a Muslim if I’m not mistaken. The PM (Propaganda Media) doesn’t tell you this.

  • You obviously don’t understand how the electoral college works. It’s been good enough for everybody for 200 years or so. Only when a bunch of ignorant, childish, sniveling liberals. Who the hell has been doing the rioting, vandalism, death threats, and whining, you ignoramus.

And note that neither Obozo nor the Hildabeeste lifter a finger to calm things down.

  • edwin

I know very well how the Electoral College works, its not supposed to work in favor of a candidate who lost the popular vote by 2.9 million votes. It’s designed to also work to stop a tyrant from being elected by the people who have been duped and people like you who are very uniformed. Clinton was far better qualified. You know this man. You have always known this man because he is you.
He says it’s fixed, it’s a plot, it’s a lie, it’s the fault of Mexicans, it means war. He has uncontrollable anger.
And you want to give him nuclear weapons?
He is the lying used car salesman across town. He is the contractor who puts a hole in your wall then vanishes. He is the fast-talking huckster on the late-night television commercial. He is the husband or the wife or the girlfriend or the boyfriend who promised you forever and ran off with your heart and your money—and your life.
You might not have liked Hillary Clinton or her policies or anything about her, but if she was elected, you would have had four years to find a presidential candidate of your own whose true goal is not to rob you blind, and four years from now you would still have a presidential election and a vote—and a country.
Trump will give nothing to you but shame and regret and shackles. He will take, and he will keep, whatever he can get his hands on. It is the story of his life—He boasts about it. He says giving employees a paycheck is the equivalent of your neighbor sacrificing their son in the war. You really think he will give you anything? You really think he will give you a better job? More money?
From women to business he is grab first and ask questions later and you know that. And in the rubble—the rubble of your life in a political-science-fiction-nightmare version of a fascist America made real—this will be on your conscience. It will be your fault, not his. He is merely the con man who is fattening you up for the kill. He ends his appearances with the Rolling Stones song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” He is telling you in advance. How much more warning does he have to give you?
You know this man. You have always known this man.
There is a small minority of gullible nonthinkers and confused conspiracy theorists who believe that Hillary Clinton is guilty of some ethereal set of crimes or unethical behavior. They are unable to articulate what the crimes are because they only exist in a muddled state of chaos in their confused imaginations. They were implanted by right-wing propagandists and their media accomplices. I realize that, to confused conservatives, nothing needs to make sense, logic is turned upside down, common sense is the first thing thrown out the window, and trying to reconcile actual facts with the confusion that they live with on a daily basis is not exactly a priority.
Here’s a CHALLENGE. How do you nonthinkers rationalize the fact that there is not now, and never has been, any proof that Hillary Clinton is guilty of any of the crimes and unethical behavior that YOU have allowed yourselves to be brainwashed into believing by your idiotic right-wing idols?
Don’t be mindless sheep and go rebleating the right wing lies and disinformation that you have been brainwashed to believe. They are NOT PROOF!!!!! I ask for PROOF, not the lies and disinformation, itself.

  • Hillary is a proven liar many times over. She let Americans die in Benghazi for political expediency. She was careless to the point of criminal negligence setting up a private server in her own house for State Department e-mails. And she was clearly engaged in influence peddling as Secretary of State. Facts of record, dipstick. And you wanted her for President???? Grow up!

  • edwin

You are the one who has been duped, just to dumb to realize it. What is terrifying about a Trump Presidency is not Trump himself… Oh, he’s scary, yes, but not *terrifying*. After all, I do think that there are *enough* SANE people around him… secret service, the intelligence community, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that he can be somewhat restrained from driving this country over the edge.
It’s his FOLLOWERS! There are some seriously whacked out loonies out there… folks whose cheese has slid completely off the cracker…. who could… and probably *will* do some Incredibly Dangerous S…..tuff! Militias, “lone wolves”, Timothy McVeigh wannabes. It has been noted that during Democratic Presidencies, these groups and individuals become more active. During Republican Presidencies, things “settle down” a bit… but that’s with SANE Republican Presidents. Whatever flaws Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II had… they were, at the end of the day *reasonable*. Not likely to fly off the handle or go to pieces. Or to “inspire” ardent followers to DO Incredibly Dangerous… stuff!
NOT SO Donald Trump! “Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?!!” cried Henry II in the year 1170, and sure enough… four men took it on themselves to, unbidden directly, assassinate Thomas Becket! A disastrous result… I wonder… what will Trump say, without thinking, that may well inspire one of these ‘bent arrows’ to DOOOOO something? So yeah, Trump is scary… his worshipers, though… are definitely terrifying!

  • Edwin: Unless and until the Constitution is amended vis-a-vis the electoral college, having a popular vote plurality is meaningless. Had the rules been that direct (popular vote) election determined the outcome, the game would have been played entirely differently, with focus on densely populated areas. Hillary did not “win” anything except another star on her sore loser sash. Furthermore, had the illegal voters been removed from the popular vote total, an entirely different picture most probably would have emerged.

The only people I know who want to get their guns out and start a war are the Leftist minions of Saul Alinsky and George Soros.

I will always remember Hillary’s pronouncement during the debate that anyone who challenged the results of the election was un-American. For perhaps the only time in her life, Hillary was telling the truth.

  • Edwin:

There is a time, a place and a procedure to address the arguments in support of the abrogation of the present rules of the Presidential election game. That time, that place, and that procedure are not consonant with the pathetically insipid and dangerous desperation strategies of the Left. Had different rules been in place (e.g., direct election by popular vote) before the November election, I assure you that the players in the game – all of them – would have changed their strategies and focused on densely populated regions of the nation. The candidates played the game according to the established rules that predetermined the role of the electoral college with regard to the election’s ultimate outcome. Put quite plainly and simply, the futile attempts to alter the election results post game are a national disgrace, bordering on sedition. Indeed, Mrs. Hillary Clinton, one of America’s greatest and most stalwart defenders of representative democracy, said that to question the election’s outcome was a direct threat to our government. Our country’s laws are a function of the Constitution and Congressional debate and legislation, not whimsical ex post facto reconsideration of the tenets of the Federalist Papers and the revered sanctity and wisdom of Alexander Hamilton. To those who seek safe spaces and special consolation centers, may I remind you that there are ways to protect the nation’s woeful Jeremiahs from their imagined existential threat to our Republic: Just reflect upon the political vicissitudes of Andrew Johnson, Richard Milhous Nixon, and William Jefferson Clinton.

Take solace in the words of Nixon’s nemesis Dick Tuck: “The people have spoken, the bastards.” –Dick Tuck’s concession speech following his loss in the 1966 California State Senate election.

You have nearly four years to amend the Constitution. In the meantime, I understand that the Democrat Party plans on providing Play-Doh and milk and cookies to mitigate the angst of the mindless serfs. I would suggest you get new medication to treat your schadenfreud.

  • edwin

I have never heard of anybody on then left talking about getting their guns out is Trump wins its what the right wing kook bunch were saying before the election. I believe the correct way and leaving everything pretty much as the founding fathers vision it is to use the Nebraska and Maine format and not alter the constitution. Its the best of both worlds .
Election reform needs to be done now , not wait until next election . I WOULD PURPOSE ELECTION REFORM, i.e. CHANGING THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION FROM WINNER TAKE ALL IN A STATE TO ALL STATES CHANGING TO THE MAINE AND NEBRASKA FORMAT WHERE THE WINNER ONLY TAKES THE DISTRICT THAT HE OR SHE WINS. THIS IS MUCH MORE FAIR AND YOU WOULDN’T HAVE ALL THE RED STATE/ BLUE STATE CRAP. THE PRESENT WAY, ALMOST HALF THE PEOPLE IN ANY GIVEN STATE LOSE THEIR VOTE EVERY ELECTION. ALSO I BELIEVE THAT THERE SHOULD BE ONLY 4 PRIMARIES, STARTING IN MARCH ALLOWING 30 DAYS FOR EACH PRIMARY. MARCH,APRIL MAY & JUNE. OR SIMILAR SETUP. THE PRIMARIES WOULD BE CONSTRUCTED IN BASICALLY 4 TIME ZONES. STARTING WITH LESS POPULATED, MOUNTAIN TIME ZONE FIRST IN MARCH, CENTRAL NEXT IN APRIL FOLLOWED BY PACIFIC AND EASTERN TIME ZONES. WHERE YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE TIME ZONE IN A STATE, THAT AREA WOULD BE CONSOLIDATED INTO THE MAJOR TIME ZONE OF THE STATE. IDEALLY WOULD BE TO COMPACT THEM MORE CLOSER TO THE GENERAL ELECTION. WE STILL NEED PUBLIC RADIO, ALTHOUGH THEY MIGHT NOT SLANT THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE, THEIR CONTENT IS USUALLY RIGHT ON. I AGREE WITH SENATOR ROCKEFELLER ON THE RIDICULOUS PARTISAN CONTENT OF MSNBC AND FOX NEWS AND MANY OTHER NEWS OUTLETS. I BELIEVE AN ETHICS AND EQUALITY FREEDOM OF SPEECH ACT WOULD GO A LONG WAYS IN PROVIDING FAIRNESS OF THE 1ST AMENDMENT. IS IT REALLY PARTISAN CONTENT WHEN FOX NEWS AS WELL AS THE LIMBAUGH’S ARE THE MOST OBVIOUS WHEN THEY HAVE TO LIE,SLUR ,INSULT ,MISQUOTE, MISREPRESENT AND BE OUTRIGHT SMART-ASS’S. I FIND MOST OF MSNBC HOST AND GUEST SEEM TO BE ONLY EXPOSING THE CRAP FOX NEWS TYPE AND THE LIMBAUGH TYPES ARE PUTTING OUT. MOST OF MSNBC CONTENT SEEMS TO BE FACTUAL AND MUCH IS DISPROVING FOX AND THE RIGHTS ERRONEOUS AND DISTORTED CONTENT. AM I BIAS MAYBE BUT NOT VERY MUCH. I FACT CHECK EVERYTHING READ ON THE INTERNET WHICH IS 85% LIES. MUCH OF WHERE FOX,LIMBAUGH AND DRUDGE GET THEIR CONTENT. FOX NEWS DOES HAVE SOME GOOD PROGRAMMING AND NEWS COVERAGE. PEOPLE ARE DUPED[MOSTLY VOLUNTARILY] BY THE MOST VISIBLE SHOWS WHICH ARE DESIGNED FOR THAT PURPOSE. AS FAR AS MYSELF BEING BIAS ON MY OBSERVATIONS, I WATCH AS MUCH FOX NEWS AS I DO MSNBC.I AM A NEWS NUT AND WANT TO SEE WHAT THE OTHER SIDE IS SAYING. MOST PEOPLE DON’T DON’T. IT IS DANGEROUS TRYING TO INTENTIONALLY DECEIVE THE LISTENER. PEOPLE ARE NAIVE AND NEED SOME BALANCE FOR THEIR PROTECTION. MURDOCK GIVES A MILLION TO THE GOP AND ROGER AILES ADMITS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. MAY;BE I DIDN’T ARTICULATE AS WELL AS I COULD BUT I BELIEVE WE WOULD HAVE A BETTER INFORMED COUNTRY AND THE 1ST AMENDMENT WOULD HAVE A MORE FAIR AND BALANCE MEANING[not fox type] IF WE HAD A FAIRNESS DOCTRINE [FOR AN EXAMPLE] 2 PARTS] PART ONE ] RESTRICT ONE PERSON/COMPANY FROM OWNING/CONTROLLING MORE THAN ONE MEDIA OUTLET IN ANY GIVEN MEDIA MARKET. SOME MARKETS ONE PERSON CONTROLS EVERYTHING TV, RADIO AND PRINT. EVEN CABLE AND BROADBAND [NUMBER TWO] TO HAVE DOUBLE SAFE GUARDS,EACH MEDIA OUTLET MUST HAVE BALANCE OF PROGRAMMING OR EDITORIAL CONTENT. i.e. LIMBAUGH HAS A 3 HOUR PROGRAM, THEY MUST HAVE A BALANCED 3 HOURS OF OPPOSITE CONTENT . ONE REASON AIR AMERICA FAILED WAS MAJOR MEDIA IN A MARKET WAS CONTROLLED BY ONE PERSON/COMPANY.THE SAME WITH TV, PRINT AND CABLE/BROADBAND. THIS POLICY WOULD APPLY TO ALL PROGRAMMING AND PRINT OPINION. RELIGIOUS CONTENT WOULD BE EXEMPT UNLESS FRAUD OR POLITICAL CONTENT WAS INJECTED. HOPEFULLY WEBSITES CAN BE INCLUDED TO OFFER EQUAL OPINIONS DEBATES FOR BLOG SITES. CABLE/BROADBAND AND WEBSITES

There wasn’t anything Trump could have done to win more popular votes when he was beaten be 2.9 million popular votes. Clinton would have changed her strategy as well. Dick Tuck was a trickster that went after both sides. If you haven’t read his book you should. One of my favorite was Nixon was giving a speech from the back of a train and Dick Tuck was dressed as a conductor with a lantern and half way through Nixon’s Speech waved for the enginerrre to pull out of the station.

  • 101steagle

We all heard about her anger and lies, the polls from the left even say her trust factor was in the tank, and to lie about the reason for the attack in Libya knowing the real truth does not make her fit to lead, and then call the families liars, never have I seen some one lie as much as she did.

  • edwin

Her trust factor has been manufactured by the right wing bigots and conspiracy theorist that believe everything the fake news says..Not since John Kennedy have we had such a dynamic and insightful person as Hillary. Determination and a brilliant mind make her PERFECT to lead our nation. Don’t get distracted by right wing propaganda, that’s just smoke and mirrors. All the right does is play to peoples fears and repeat lies over and over. You will hear the cry BENGHAZI, yet the incident has been investigated over and over and Hillary was not even MENTIONED in the findings about causes.
When you look at Donald Trump he is a person who does not even come close. Trump is a deranged child that needs mental help. His followers are zombies with no common sense.
Benghazi the non issue. There have been 81 school shootings since Benghazi, 145 children were shot 66 killed. Republican outrage… ZERO
Don’t be sucked in by the right wing Kool aid drinkers who spew nonsense
And I am sure the right would be VERY understanding if something like 9/11 happened when Obama was President….You know, like they are with Benghazi…lololol
AS FOR AS SOME OF HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
    1. Her China speech on women.
    2. Her role in killing Osama bin Laden.
    3. Management of the State Department during which time we
saw a 50 percent increase in exports to China, aggressive
work on climate (particularly at Copenhagen), and the effort
to create and implement the toughest sanctions ever on
Iran—helping to lead us to the agreement currently on the
    table.
‘The sanction on Iran that brought them to the table’
    Committee.
Hillary Clinton was the principal author of the sanction on
Iran that brought them to the table. We cannot afford any
Know Nothings like Carly in the White House.
***‘Nearly every foreign policy victory of President
Obama’s second term has Secretary Clinton’s fingerprints
    on it’
American foreign policy was stronger when Hillary Clinton
left the State Department than when she arrived. She took
the reins from a Bush administration that had left
America’s reputation deeply damaged and planted the seeds
for the foreign policy successes we see today. From the
agreement to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon,
to the landmark normalization of relations with Cuba, nearly
every foreign policy victory of President Obama’s second
term has Secretary Clinton’s fingerprints on it.
Her accomplishments extend to health care, as well. As First
Lady, she helped create and guide through Congress
Children’s Health Insurance Program, a key program that
brought health care coverage to millions of children. As a
Senator, she worked across the aisle to provide full
military health benefits to reservists and National Guard
    members.
Secretary Clinton was also an outspoken champion for women
around the world. She set records for travel while leading
the State Department and used every trip to empower the
women of the 112 countries she visited. She made gender
equality a priority of U.S. foreign policy. And she created
the ambassador at large for global women’s issues, a post
charged with integrating gender throughout the State
    Department.

‘The SCHIP program … which expanded health coverage to
    millions of lower-income children’
By Anita Dunn, Democratic political strategist.
After universal health care failed in 1994, the Clinton
Administration was reluctant to go anywhere near healthcare
again—Democrats lost the Senate and the House in 1994, and
losing the house was for the first time in 40 years.
Then-First Lady Hilary Clinton ended up being the White
House ally and inside player who worked with Ted Kennedy and
Orrin Hatch to create the SCHIP program in Clinton’s second
term, which expanded health coverage to millions of
lower-income children. She has other accomplishments but
this one made a huge difference, and came at a time when
politically the Administration was cutting deals with Newt
Gingrich on the budget and not necessarily all that
    enthusiastic about revisiting health care.
This obviously isn’t her only accomplishment but it is
meaningful because she took a political battering after the
failure in 1994 but came back to fight again, and was able
to work on a bipartisan basis during a very polarized time
to get this done. Seems relevant!

‘Clinton is one of the most accomplished people ever to
    run’
By Chuck Schumer, U.S. Senator for New York, Democratic
    party.
Hillary Clinton is one of the most accomplished people ever
to run for the Presidency. I’m lucky enough to have seen
those accomplishments up close from her time as Senator from
New York and as Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton was
instrumental in helping secure $21 billion in federal aid to
help New York rebuild after 9/11. She fought tooth and nail
to protect the first responders who rushed into danger when
the towers collapsed and was pivotal in the passage of
legislation that helped those first responders who got sick
get the care and treatment they deserved. She worked night
and day to protect and create jobs in New York, whether that
was at the Niagara Falls Air Force base or the Center for
Bioinformatics at the University of Buffalo. She also led
the charge on the Lilly Ledbetter Pay Equity Act, which is
now the law of the land.
As Secretary of State, Secretary Clinton was not only
inspirational figure for billions of women around the globe,
she also did much to restore the shattered credibility of
the United States, which had lost so much influence
following the failed foreign policies of the previous
administration. She negotiated the cease-fire in Gaza that
stopped the Hamas from firing rocket after rocket into
Israel. She helped secure the START treaty’s ratification,
and has advanced women’s rights in countries around the
globe. That’s just a snapshot of what Hillary Clinton has
accomplished over a lifetime of public service to New York
and the country. If you really want to stump a Democrat, you
should ask them which of Hillary’s accomplishments is your
favorite—there are too many to choose from
    ***
‘Rebuilding America’s leadership and prestige overseas
    after the Bush years’
Bill Richardson is a former secretary of energy and governor
    of New Mexico.
As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was key in rebuilding
America’s leadership and prestige overseas after the Bush
years. She restored our alliances with the EU and key Asian
allies as well as key relationships in Africa and Latin
    America.
    ***
    ‘The Pediatric Research Equity Act’
By Chris Dodd, former U.S. Senator for Connecticut,
    Democratic party.
Having worked with her in the Senate and on the HELP
Committee, the first thing that came to mind was her
authorship of the Pediatric Research Equity Act. This law
requires drug companies to study their products in children.
The Act is responsible for changing the drug labeling of
hundreds of drugs with important information about safety
and dosing of drugs for children. It has improved the health
of millions of children who take medications to treat
diseases ranging from HIV to epilepsy to asthma. Millions of
kids are in better shape and alive because of the law
    Senator Clinton authored.
    ***
    ‘Crippling sanctions against Iran’
By Paul Begala, political analyst for CNN and counselor to
    President Bill Clinton.
Easy: Iran sanctions. Sec. Clinton accomplished the nearly
impossible mission of getting China, Russia, the European
Union and the civilized world on board with crippling
sanctions against Iran. This is what brought Iran to the
    negotiating table.
Ms. Fiorina may not see that as an accomplishment, since
while she was CEO of Hewlett-Packard the firm sold hundreds
of millions of dollars of computer products the the
terrorist regime in Tehran, evading US sanctions.

While it is true that John Brennan was sworn into office using a copy of the U.S. Constitution rather than a Bible, that fact alone is not definitive proof of any particular religious sentiment. Had he sought to conceal his Islamic faith, it’s just as likely he would have opted to use a Bible (particularly if he had no intent to uphold the very Constitution on which he swore his oath). And if we are to believe that John Brennan is a closeted Muslim, then we would also have to believe that either no one in the highest levels of the U.S. government has the least bit of concern about that fact (not enough to speak up about it, anyway), or that Brennan has managed to successfully hide his religious beliefs from the entirety of the vast intelligence network that he heads. The more logical answer is that John Brennan could very well have no faith at all, or that he holds the ideals of the Constitution higher than the ideals of religion in relation to his duties as head of the CIA.

  • edwin

While some on this discussion site claim CIA Director Brennan is a Muslim , it is a conspiracy theory that has no basis or proof. Why do you waste your time and effort with fools, they do not want to be confused by the facts and the truth has no bearing. History is the teacher here.

  • Valdemar Sanchez

    I agree.

America understands it will take some time to carve out these contaminants one group at a time. I always say when we have a department within our business organization that goes rogue? Fire all employees however have corporate management oversee the head of that department train their own replacement all the while hiring others. You’d be surprised how many do this for 6 months severance. Do it!
