Proud Pagan Witch Backs Obama’s Poverty Bill

AIM Column  |  By Cliff Kincaid  |  June 25, 2008

The bill has passed the House of Representatives and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and awaits action by the full Senate.

While Senator Barack Obama struggles to keep the public in the dark about the nature of his pro-U.N. Global Poverty Act, a recent “Bay Area Interfaith Leaders’ Luncheon” was held to lobby for Senate passage of the bill, whose cost has been estimated at $845 billion. An actual witch who spoke at a “Pagan Pride” festival in San Francisco was one of the listed participants.

The witch, known as the “Elder Donald Frew” of the “Wiccan Community,” was interviewed by the Reverend Don Lewis of “Witch School International” for a “reality” show called “Magick TV” and is shown talking about his involvement in the United Nations-backed United Religions Initiative. Magick TV features a “daily spell.”

Representatives of the United Religions Initiative and the World Parliament of Religions were also among those included in the controversial Bay Area conference, which was held at the University of San Francisco, a Jesuit Catholic institution with a “global perspective,” under the auspices of the Lane Center for Catholic Studies and Social Thought.

A local paper described the event as an “unprecedented lobbying effort” that was “paired with a call to the Bay Area’s myriad faith communities to join in what the religious leaders see as the defining issue facing the globe today.”

Meanwhile, a concerned parent alerted us to the fact that a Christian preschool in Long Island, New York was handing out a coloring page for children which included a plea for Congress to pass Obama’s Global Poverty Act. “Dear Parents,” said the letter that was sent home. “We would like to join efforts with the congregation of St. David’s to stop world hunger. You and your child can help by coloring and signing the enclosed sheet. This sheet will be sent along with many others to our representatives in Washington, D.C…Thanks for supporting such a great cause. Sincerely, St. David’s Christian Preschool.”

The sheet said “Dear Senator: At Preschool, I learned to thank God for the food I eat. I also collect coins to help those who don’t have enough. Today, I ask you to help, too, with more and better aid for the world’s poorest countries. We want Congress to pass the Global Poverty Act. Please cosponsor S. 2433. Thank you.” The child’s name and age were supposed to be filled in.

The pictures to be colored included what appeared to be an angel holding a bowl of food (with a Valentine heart on the robe and the bowl) and a basket with apples.

The Real Agenda

The plea for “more and better” foreign aid money conflicts with the claims of those who insist the Obama bill doesn’t authorize the expenditure of more federal funds. As AIM has documented, the bill amounts to a mandate on the federal government to force compliance with the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.

Despite the importance the left-wing religious activists attach to Obama’s Global Poverty Act, the senator failed to even mention the bill in a patriotic TV ad that is supposed to highlight his legislative activities. As AIM revealed, media “watchdogs” and “fact-checkers” at the Washington Post and the Annenberg Political Fact-Check project failed to note the omission. The cover-up undoubtedly reflects awareness of the unpopularity of spending massive amounts of new foreign aid money on U.N. causes and the fact that Obama’s sponsorship of this bill could badly backfire on the candidate.

But lobbying for passage of the legislation continues behind-the-scenes. The bill has passed the House of Representatives and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and awaits action by the full Senate.

Frew’s reported participation was significant. A featured speaker at a “Pagan Pride” festival in San Franciso, he is described as an Elder in both the New Reformed Orthodox Order of the Golden Dawn and Gardnerian traditions of modern Wicca and a High Priest of Coven Trismegiston in Berkeley, California. Other attractions at the “Pagan Pride” festival included a firewalking instructor, a magician, and a belly dancer.

The popular Internet site myspace.com features an entry about Donald Frew’s Coven Trismegiston and a video about the “laws of Wicca.” It begins with the words, “Hear now the words of the witches.”

According to his bio, Frew “has been very active in interfaith work on behalf of the Craft for over 17 years and is the National Interfaith Representative for the Covenant of the Goddess (the largest Wiccan religious organization on Earth).” He has represented Covenant of the Goddess at both Parliaments of the World’s Religions and serves on the Global Council of the U.N.-affiliated United Religions Initiative. Frew claims pagan religions make up one-fourth of the world’s population and are increasing their influence in the U.S.

A Muslim representative to the Bay Area conference was identified as Iftekhar Hai of the United Muslims of America (UMA). The UMA is a member of the American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections (AMT), an umbrella organization that includes controversial groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations. The AMT’s “political advisory” urges support for a candidate promising constitutional rights for suspected terrorists, an immigration policy that is “fair” to “undocumented workers,” and an end to the U.S. “occupation” of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Real Cost

Even though Obama’s backers in the media and elsewhere are trying to insist that his Global Poverty Act costs nothing in additional foreign aid and simply reorganizes federal agencies, one of the main themes of the conference was passing the bill and committing the U.S. to  “Point 7 Now and the Millennium Development Goals” of the United Nations.

The official conference brochure explained, “The phrase ‘Point 7 Now’ refers to the commitment made by developed countries through the 2002 Monterey Consensus to increase foreign aid to poor countries to 0.7% of a developed country’s national income.” It added, “The United States is currently at 0.2%.” The difference, according to Jeffrey Sachs of the United Nations, is $65 billion a year. As we have repeatedly pointed out, from 2002 to the target date of reaching the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2015, this adds up to $845 billion more in foreign aid spending for the U.S.

“We are asking our federal legislators for real and effective support for increasing the amount of aid that the United States provides so that the MDGs can be implemented and the goal of eliminating the worst of the world’s poverty can be accomplished by 2015,” stated the official conference literature. “Specifically, we are lobbying the Senate to pass the Global Poverty Act of 2007 making support of the MDGs official US policy. We invite you to be part of this effort.”

Conference organizers distributed a letter signed by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Cal.) declaring her support for increasing the foreign aid budget.

One of the key presentations of the "Point Seven Now" concept at the event was given by George Wesolke, Director of the Office of Public Policy and Social Concerns of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco. A "legislative analysis" was provided by David Gist, legislative advocate for the Bread for the World organization. The Master of Ceremonies was Dr. Mike Duffy, the director of the Lane Center for Catholic Studies and Social Thought at the University of San Francisco.

Platform for Obama?

It turns out that this event, held in February, was just the forerunner to a larger conference of liberal and left-wing religious movements that are shaping up to be among Barack Obama’s major supporters.

The Lane Center is one of several co-sponsors of the upcoming July 11-13 Convention for the Common Good, which will feature a presidential candidates forum, as well as a speech by AFL-CIO President John Sweeney. Sweeney is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, a group of longtime backers of Barack Obama. The AFL-CIO is expected to announce on Thursday that it is officially endorsing Obama for president.

The “common good” convention is being convened by Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and NETWORK, a “National Catholic Social Justice Lobby” that claims to have 100,000 members. The complete list of sponsoring organizations includes Pax Christi USA; Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns; Center of Concern; Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good; NETWORK, A National Social Justice Lobby; Sisters of Mercy; National Catholic Rural Life Conference; Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities; Ignatian Solidarity Network; US Catholic Mission Association; Conference of Major Superiors of Men; Oblates of St. Francis De Sales; AFL-CIO; Franciscan Mission Service; Franciscan Action Network; Catholics United; Catholic Scholars for Worker Justice; University of San Francisco, Lane Center for Catholic Social Thought.

It says a “Platform for the Common Good” will be ratified at the convention and then “sent to presidential candidates and both national political parties as a way to influence the debate over the defining moral and political issues of our time.”

The nation has closed it’s eyes and hearts to what BHO is doing. The people are so unhappy with Bush, that they will sell thier very soul to get the Republicans out of the White House. God help us all.

Nana,

There will come a time for reckoning. Bush policies and actions will be judged right or wrong five years from now.

NOT TODAY.

Can’t you see?  Six 6 ago, Bush offered the drilling of a small portion in Alaska.  Now, Obama says that if drilling starts now, its positive effect shall still be 5 years hence.

America is guilty of humiliating her own elected President.  War in Iraq?  What would you do if you have both Iraq (Saddam) and Iran (the mullahs) waging War against US and the world?

Regardless of CIA erroneous information(but Democrat’s logic is also doubtful and more of fabricated lie due to partisan politics too), Bush immediately dismissed Saddam before the rise of the Mullah is a good riddance to entire free World.

Prognosis of the near future seems to favor Bush’s actions, rather than Obama’s appeasement policy.  Actually, his strategy, by History, has been proven time and again to be the right path against the enemies.  Same tactic FDR said to Churchill.  Same strategy used by Reagan.

If you are really a Republican, you should start standing up and fight for the honor of your good President.

Seeker,
I’m an Independent. I am very careful who I vote for. I have done hours of research on BHO. I am convinced he is a “mole”. The media acts like he is a rock star. No matter what or how bad the news is about him they find a way to excuse him.
He came out of Hawaii the same time Madaline Murrey O’Hara was there. Both O’Hara and Ann Denham were atheists. some day somebody will put it all together. I just pray its not late. Obama’s father was not an American citizen. His mother was 18 year old in Hawaii. MY question is this; Is BHO an American?????

Unfortunately, under federallaw BHO is a citizen. You are a citizen if you are born to a US citizen. However, I do find it curious that he won’t release his birth certificate. Nevertheless, I think you are corect that he is a mole. His socialist/communist leanings are apparant and he is definitely wants to diminish the wealth of the US.

A small correction, Rick.  Any person born in the United States, regardless of his parents’ nationalities, is automatically a US citizen.  It’s one important reason so many pregnant Mexican try to get to the US before their babies are born.

Obama was born in Hawaii a year and a half after it became a state.  That’s the breaks.

With all the media kissing Obama’s arse, he’s becoming more boring by the day.

The truth is out there, but so is “American Idol.”

Obama is carrying some heavy negatives, but the media is defining this election to date…and these negatives are definitely not part of the definition.

“Racism” is a red herring. It’s not that Obama is black (well, half black), but that he’s simply not the right black for president, anymore than Danny Glover or Al Sharpton would be.

I suspect that when the hard-hitting ads for McCain detailing all the additional taxes and expenditures for the UN’s usual wasteful, inefficient spending, people will start to think for themselves a bit.

Why is it that “US foreign aid” is always figured by a percentage of our overall gov’t spending? If anyone is paying attention, seems like every time there’s a catastrophe in a foreign land, Americans are quite generous with aid money…at least the conservatives do. Liberals tend to be rather cheap when it comes to charity, and this is a documented fact. Al Gore is a great example.

Must be all those bitter Christian gun nuts who hate all foreigners who are sending charitable donations in the wake of natural disasters across the globe.

I think that Obama has simply peaked too early. Too much time left for the exposure of his true nature.

Every piece of evidence uncovered about Barak Hussein Obama makes me shake more, and I salute AIM and others for their diligent research in the name of trying to protect this country.  Ok, so most (if not all) politicians are deceptive to one degree or another somewhere along the way, but this takes it to a much more serious level.

I am convinced that this man is dangerous to this country, and the MSM’s complicity, excusing and overlooking of major issues is just as dangerous to this country.  I don’t care if it’s pure politics or just the profit interest of “getting the big story” or whatever.  The net result is the same.

How much longer can the American people be shielded from all this?  They have already gotten a few glimpses, despite the MSM’s efforts to downplay the issues (his church, Revs. Wright and Pfleger, Rezko, etc), but those are just the “low-hanging fruit” and easier to see.  I have YET to hear the words “communist,” “world socialist” or “globalist” regarding BHO’s associations mentioned either at all or with any kind of regularity or imact anywhere except on AIM and other similar sites.  Even Rush and Hannity seem to not hit this as hard as they could, although I don’t hear their shows every day.

The word HAS to get out, which means people talking to people everywhere.  BHO would complete the perfect storm of both Dem-majority houses plus the presidency, which would swing the door open much wider for the UN/world socialist influence to sweep into this country’s policies.  I doubt we could withstand the hemmorhage of money out of this country that this pro-UN, socialist, redistributionist Global Poverty Act would impose.  This country will be eviscerated!

It is particularly insidious that children are used as tools and pawns in this effort, too, such as in the letters going home to parents from the elementary schools.  The emotional ploy is completely disingenuous.  Only the naive in this country would believe that such foreign aid, extorted by such means, would actually have the benefit as advertised.  It will go to African dictators to fund their warchests!

As for BHO being an instrument in all this…forget the lack of experience problem.  The “mole” concept, his dubious family history, his communist/socialist mentors and associations, his unapologetic American terrorist associations, his collectivist proposals, his anti-rich/anti-capitalist/economy-stifling tax proposals, his dubious religious history/motives/associations…this is more than just unprecedented, it’s downright dangerous to this country’s future.  Every thinking person that cares about the future integrity and strength of this country should be shouting about this and should be resolved to not allow it to happen!

Voxoreason, your comments about Americans’ generosity are right on.

I recently heard about a study that was done about charitible giving.  It was found that conservatives are more likely to give more money in general than liberals, for the most part.

Secondly, it was found that those that claimed to be conservatives were significantly more likely to donate to charities/causes that had very little or no overhead/admin costs and where the donations went directly to help people in need or for disaster relief, etc.  Those that claimed to be liberals, on the other hand, were found to be much more likely to donate to charities/causes that had more topheavy admin costs and that didn’t benefit people directly or at all, such as environmental and feel-good groups…which only end up using the donations to turn around and lobby for government actions that end up having adverse impacts on people.

Nana and Seeker, thank God some people are connecting the dots when it comes to BHO. The left wing of the former Democratic party has effectively taken control and it now should be referred to as A “Socialist” Democratic Party. Also of note is the infiltration of the socialists and communists into most all the
Environmental organizations.They all seem to playing into the UN picture one way or other. Keep a watch on BHO’s litany and you will find very close connections. BHO’s early mentor was an avowed communist and so on….The media has really backed off on this info, and can you guess why? Once elected, George Soros and his busy little pals will be pulling the strings. I would be interested in your comments.

This Republican will always stand up for our good president.  The Democrats hated him the moment he was declared the winner of the 2000 election, and since then he can do nothing right in their eyes.

The Democrats would rather have us lose the war in Iraq than to see GW Bush have a well-deserved victory there.

Since a majority of Obama’s supporters are the young people, plus the black people, one has to realize that they are all the products of our very liberal educational system, manned by the ‘60s hippies in the colleges and governed by the leftist NEA in the public schools.  Our young people are being propagandized and indoctrinated into liberalism, or even socialism from the beginning, so they are perfect subjects for the Marxist goals of a phony Soros puppet like Obama.

It’s very sad, and I fear for my great country.

You know, it wouldn’t really matter if he was born after Hawaii became a state.  Barry Goldwater, born in Arizona Territory before it became a state in 1912, was allowed to run.  And, of course, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe were born well before Virginia became a state.

Let’s keep focussing on BHO’s anti-American polices to keep him out of the White House.  It’s important that the country know that this glib-talking socialist is a real threat to our liberties, values and way of life.

I am not surprised at the support Barak Hussein Obama (BHO) is receiving in spite of his obvious lack of true commitment to the United States.  It seems more and more Americans are “bailing out” when it comes to true support of their own country.  By the same token, one has to consider the fact that there ARE Americans who DO stand by their country and ethical principles. That is why we have young men and women fighting by choice all over the world. That is why they choose to return to combat in spite of the constant criticism that permeates people and media throughout the world.

Those serving our country have been there first hand and see the reality of what is going on. They see the devastation of societies affected by Muslim beliefs and terrorists.  Many families and friends share that same awareness and concern, standing behind the military and our Commander in Chief in spite of the loud criticism of the cowardly who are blind to reality.

The media simply makes sure we only hear the amoral, negative and self-serving agenda THEY support.  (Be assured this does NOT apply to reporters and news media that truly do an ethically unbiased job of reporting all sides of a matter without trying to color the opinions of the public.)

One can look at the general media’s overwhelming support of anything that is amoral and realize the media will absolutely stand behind any candidate whose character is substandard in his support of his country (i.e. BHO). It’s as if they are “in” on the goal of taking America down without firing an audible gun shot. Just as they magnify the few Christians who’ve made wrong choices, they magnify the few citizens who are not supportive of our nation and ALL for which it stands. The media makes it appear we are ALL against America and God, preferring to be a godless nation, preferring filth and lack of morals to God and decency.

NBC learned in a recent poll that 86% of the American public is in favor of acknowledging and standing by the role God Himself had and should have in our Nation’s existence.  Nevertheless, the media only toots the horn of the remaining 14%. It seems they think all Americans are stupid enough to believe anything they say if the media repeats it enough.

To some degree, that might be true.  Consider the effectiveness of the media in Communist Russia when they totally controlled TV and radio programming to the point Russians had no clue about the true outside world, democracy and freedom of thought and action each person could have.  When Communists lost control and the people had freedom, they had no clue what to do because they had been so manipulated, controlled and brain-washed by the media and communist agenda.

The same thing is happening in America today.
The agenda is simply different:
  *remove all sensitivity to that which is
    moral;
  *remove God from ALL aspects of life;
  *replace anything good with filth and
    hatred;
  *encourage and “feed” depraved minds;
  *promote an “anything goes” mindset as long as
    it DOESN’T include anything moral or
    related to God;
  *elect officials who will do anything but
    support the Christian foundations and
    principles on which America was originally
    established;
  *give credit to ourselves, NOT God for all we
    have;
  *promote and praise any lifestyle that is
    amoral;
  *continue to undermine and destroy the family
    so children will have no one to guide them
    in their most formative years;
  *destroy the family unit so children will have
    a distorted perception of what a real
    family should be;
  *encourage unfaithfulness among spouses and
    employees so others won’t be held
    accountable when they do the same;
  *remove the Ten Commandments in support of the
    “anything goes” agenda so no one will be
    offended;
  *remove the Ten Commandments so murder,
    stealing, adultery, lying, idol worship,
    disrespect for parents, etc. will become
    totally legal and accepted, having no
    consequence.

At the pace America is doing the above, there will soon be no need for law enforcement for there will be only chaos and no laws to enforce.
Elect BHO and we will definitely accomplish the complete downfall of America. Not all Muslims are terrorists just as not all Christians are hypocrites.  However, we must realize Muslims (including BHO) have NOT watered down their beliefs as Americans have Christianity.  They are subtle and have a firm resolve to stand by their faith regardless of the cost.

Consequently, under the leadership of BHO, America will no longer be one nation under God, but will become one nation under full control of Muslim beliefs and doctrines. As I said earlier, they are quite subtle in how they work to accomplish their goals.  Just as they caught us off guard with 9/11, they fully plan to catch us off guard with the coming election.

Our destruction as a nation will be only a matter of time. That will be of our own choosing since we’ve walked out on the beliefs of our forefathers, exchanging them for godless lifestyles and immorality instead of values and principles that look out for the wellbeing of all people.

The Democrats have been in control of Congress the past four years, so don’t blame President Bush for the way things are.  He doesn’t create the laws.  Congress does.  The President only has the power so sign or veto what they bring before him. Yes, he led us in to war, but at least he had the courage to take a stand against the very people who have mapped out America’s destruction.  That’s more than I can say for those who only criticize instead of taking constructive action to truly benefit our country.

“A small correction, Rick.  Any person born in the United States, regardless of his parents’ nationalities, is automatically a US citizen.”

Not entirely true: children of foreign diplomats born while their parents are residing in the US as part of their national delegation to the US are not citizens of the US. The qualifier on the child’s status is that the parents must be residing legally in the US with the probability of becoming US citizens or permanent legal residents of the US.

Pam:

What’s the difference between your agenda and the Taliban agenda of implementing sharia law everywhere?

The founding fathers of this nation saw the danger of the church running the state; look up Guy Fawkes sometime. They also saw the results of the Spanish Inquisition.

They wanted the freedom to worship as individuals saw fit: they did not want morality to be state-imposed. They were right.

I stand corrected. Big difference, indeed, between that “b” or “t” that precedes “...illions.” (Actually, I haven’t really taken this issue seriously. Whichever party effects such a global swindle would be voted out of office ASAP…if we still had elections.)

The UN gives us a pretty good picture of what a one-world government would be like: utterly corrupt and inept, with dictators having WAY too much influence. Kind’a like today, but infinitely worse.

The fact that our politicians are putty in the hands of such “leaders” is disgusting. I miss John Bolton, who should have been our ambassador to the UN for more than a year. For that year, at least one person was speaking truth to power, an expression that the left thinks is cute, but utterly fails to comprehend.

“Appeasement?”  Like arresting Chinese exiles as soon as we got into Afghanistan because China (Red China, totalitarian China, wants-America-destroyed China) wanted us to, maybe?

Begging the “mullahs” in the Middle East to lower gas prices?

Oh, and your conceptions of what is and is not amoral is not and should not be what is thought of as amoral for the rest of the country.  Aren’t conservatives all about throwing around the concept of freedom?  Freedom is being able to choose what religious beliefs to subscribe to, including having no religious beliefs.  Freedom is not having how you live your life legislated by religious-state-wanting zealots.  Do you notice how the majority of religious states are in your hated Middle East?

Religion isn’t an inherently freeing institution.  It doesn’t contribute to critical thought, which is needed in a complex scientific, technological, and political world, at least if we don’t want to blow ourselves up.  Religion is a personal choice, and you should shut up about it when you are talking about national policy.

Proud Ignorant Right Wing Christian Fascists Believes AIM’s Bold Faced LIES about the Global Poverty Act.

Like many of the right wing lies originating and spreading from this web site AIM, that $845 Billion cost for the Global Poverty Act cited by E Howard Baily is an out and out bold faced lie. The bill was also originated in the US House of Representatives by Congressman Adam Smith in 2007 not in the Senate by Obama.

From http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s110-2433

Based on information from the State Department, CBO estimates that implementing S. 2433 would cost less than $1 million per year, assuming the availability of appropriated funds. Enacting the bill would not affect direct spending or receipts.”

That’s 1 measly million bucks a year and not even a penny for each American tax payer per year - not that bogus $2500/citizen cited by the bold faced liar E Howard Baily. It would take 8,450 years for that Poverty Act to cost Americans $845 Billion…

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_poverty_act

“A number of news outlets have made false reports about this bill and called it Global Poverty Tax. In February 2008, Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media wrote that the Global Poverty Act (S.2433) “would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid.” [1] This is not in the bill; the bill does not require any minimum foreign aid spending. The only requirement of the bill is that the President create a plan to address global poverty and it goes on to suggest what areas the plan will cover.[2] Other outlets ran a similar story including WorldNetDaily[3] which cites Kincaid as a source. Both Cliff Kincaid and Accuracy in Media are under investigation for knowingly reporting false information about the Global Poverty Act.”

He has learned one thing well..“feed their guts and tickle their ears” and you’ll aways get a big crowd. Especially when it is “free” to them. The trouble in such an approach is both that Europeans
can’t vote here—no matter how much booze money
is expended on them. Also, the “free-concert crowd” seems to expect a “repeat free performance”
..which after all is really what appeals to them.
At least..I hope, the U.S. taxpayers are/were spared the cost of both farces. One can only wonder about future “beer bashes” and “free concerts if he is elected. God forbid! After Bush’s “free-wheeling spending,” we certainly do
not need a U.N. agent who seeks to rob our citizens in order to prop up every Third World
dictator in the name of “change you can believe in.” Oblamer’s Marxist redistribution platform stinks.I for one simply want “my country—the home of the free and the brave.” And I am willing to fight to have and to keep it that way. Are you

I agree, Jerry.  We are being dooped and absolutely deceived by Barak “Oblamer”. All the commercials in our area that “toot” his views of change only show pictures of things that have been in place for years and CERTIANLY did NOT originate with Obama! Earlier state and government administrations deserve the credit for the changes that Obama’s trying to claim.  Why can’t he find something original that hasn’t already been thought of by other people and administrations?! It will serve us right if he’s elected. It will be our own fault for not looking at reality.

Our Constitution guarantees us freedom OF religion, NOT freedom FROM religion.  Whether some like to acknowledge the fact or not, men having Christian beliefs are the reason all Americans can have freedom OF religion—that includes NOT believing in God and throwing Him out the window if they choose.  Like it or not, men having firm religious convictions are the reason why people today can choose to have no religion.

The dangerous fact is that countries dominated by Muslim beliefs and rulers have NO choice of religion—it’s their way or NO way!  I have personal acquaintances who live in many of these countries.  They almost have to live life “underground” or at least hide their personal beliefs simply because they’ve chosen a faith and democratic style of government different from that of the Muslims. They are NOT in their countries to overthrow the government or cause trouble. In fact, they show consistent respect for and compliance with that which they are asked to do without giving up their personal convictions. Nevertheless, they constantly have to keep quiet about their personal beliefs.

Muslims who leave the Muslim faith are imprisoned and/or outcast from their families and countries.  Others are brutally treated and some are executed. They are outcast by their society to the point that no one will associate with or do business with them.  Consequently, they can no longer make a living. Those who’ve watched events over the past year have seen the same treatment of Americans whom it was discovered held different beliefs.

As mentioned in an earlier email, not all Muslim citizens are like the hard core extremists who force their choice of religion on others and have made their religion their government. Many are open to learning other ways and to freedom of choice, but they, too, are penalized if it becomes known that they hold a different view.

If Barak Obama is elected it will be only a matter of time till we begin experiencing the very things practiced in Muslim dominated governments.  Remember…they do NOT separate religion from their government; their religion IS their government. The governments of such countries have marked track records for listening to and/or monitoring ALL phone conversations and intercepting & reading ALL emails to find out if anyone is in their respective country who is not Muslim and supportive of their beliefs and country. They totally forbid any support of anything but their Muslim beliefs which ARE their government.

I have no problem with Muslims choosing to believe what they want to believe.  However, I do have a problem with electing a man as President of the United States when he has a Muslim background and has not shown true commitment to our nation and it’s advocasy of freedon OF religion.  Obama’s lack of commitment to America’s founding principles and his and his wife’s lack of respect for our flag (he removed it from his election plane, replacing it with his own insignia) and their lack of respect for our country’s history fall far short of what I look for in a U.S. President.  Whatever Bush’s faults might be, at least he’s committed to America.

What makes us think Obama’s not going to do what other Muslim leaders and nations are doing…putting people in office who suppor their extremist views, removing all freedom of religion and replacing it with a Muslim dominated government?  We are truly a stupid people if we don’t wake up and read the writing on the wall.  If Obama is elected, it will only be a matter of time till democracy becomes a thing of the past.
