Accuracy in Media

In a wide-ranging interview on the #MediaMadness podcast, Lt. Colonel Allen West (Ret.) discussed topics including the danger of America’s insecure borders; a strategy to defeat ISIS and the terror threat abroad; social engineering in the U.S. military; media bias; academic bias and the recent protest of his speech at St. Louis University, and the potential impact of a Hillary Clinton presidency. West is also a member of AIM’s Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi.

While discussing the media coverage during the 2016 election cycle West stated:

“This is more of a Pravda media than a free media. And this is very disconcerting because without a doubt—and I think the WikiLeaks emails have shown—there’s a collusion between the media and also the Democrat Party and the progressive socialist ideology.”

Commenting on the social engineering being implemented in the American military, West asserted that “Taxpayer dollars should not be going toward sex change operations for people that have a mental condition called gender dysphoria. Taxpayer dollars should be going to make sure our men and women are equipped to go onto the battlefield and protect our way of life.”

When asked how America would change under a Hillary Clinton presidency, West enumerated a variety of detrimental consequences and said:

“But most importantly Alex, I think what you will see is the institutionalization of criminal behavior because there is no doubt that what Hillary Clinton has done—and there’s just so much evidence, so much proof—it has been criminal, it has been deceitful…”

“And you see a government system—name me one real government agency that the American people can trust. They can’t trust the Department of Justice, they can’t trust the FBI, they can’t trust the IRS, they can’t trust the State Department, the military is being torn apart, so where do the American people put their faith and trust and confidence in our federal government? Nowhere. Especially if Hillary Clinton is elected president.”

    Disgraced-former-Army-Officer-who-lost-reelection-in-a-solidly-Republican-district-and-who-everyone-that-isn’t-a-right-wing-fool-thinks-is-ridiculous says what?

  • The Dutchman

Just the mindless ramblings from yet another far left radical crackpot Eh?

  • missieb2000

    Racist much?

  • jug

Nothing disgraced about this former Army Officer HERO!
The two disgraceful things here are, 1, that he was booted from the service for saving numerous lives of his men, and 2, that criminal commiecrats gerrymandered him out of his congressional seat.

Oh, make that three disgraceful acts, that a liar like yourself would come on here and run him down, while supporting the criminals that you do!

  • Steven Barrett

Allen keeps forgetting that he’s backing a guy who has shown such disregard for our veterans, Gold Star families and the Constitution, much less demonstrate any historical appreciation for our military’s 240 years of continual respect for the essence as well as the letter of the law contained within The Constitution. I was raised in a military family; my dad and two older brothers served with honor and all have respected both the letter and spirit of the Constitution. What’s Allen’s problem? Is he, like his new hero, The Donald, too enamored with such spiritual ghosts of men like Patton and MacArthur to see the possible wreckage somebody like Trump could bring to our Republic? Patton was vainglorious and often put his own ego and bombast ahead of the overall goals of both his immediate superiors, Bradley, Eisenhower, Marshall and eventually FDR, not to mention Churchill. Yet, in the end, he shut his mouth and achieved the mission he was given (on a last chance basis.) MacArthur, whose imperialistic ambitions knew few boundaries, like Patton, was a patrician snob who treated anybody who wasn’t him as if they had nothing but gall to presume any constitutional or organizational superior position equal to or above him. Forget all those shots of him taking the Japanese generals’ surrenders on the deck of the USS Missouri and think back to how he botched up the initial defense of the Phillippines, ignoring sufficient warnings of a Japanese attack and leaving our aircraft at Clark AFB all lined up in a “wingtip-to-wingtip” formation. Jump a decade and recall how he botched the defense of Korea and damn near started WWIII and refused to show the slightest bit of respect for his civilian Commander-In-Chief, President Harry Truman. To MacArthur, Truman was but a former junior battery officer during WWI and a failed haberdasher who became an elected politician and earned the trust of FDR by cleaning house on a lot of shady defense contractors during Truman’s Senate years. (One would think conservatives might have more appreciation for this. Well, maybe not since Truman’s efforts, which saved precious tax dollars from lining the pockets of war profiteers, might’ve represented “government intervention” into the private sector, even if it meant bringing war profiteers to justice.
Such are the heroes Trump has in mind for the rest of us to admire as well. Well, think back also on Patton’s disgraceful treatment of the man suffering from shell-shock, or what we used to call PTSD. At least in Patton’s favor, it can be said that he, unlike Trump, experienced the brutal hardships of combat and witnessed its effects. Its real effects. And I sure as hell doubt Patton would ever say a word to criticize the parents of a man who died for his country by willingly sacrificing his life on behalf of his unit in a war involving our army against many foes whose religion was the same and thus, in the eyes of many of Trump’s biggest supporters, some sickly “just cause” for suspicion. Trump as well as many other Americans forget that the largest non-Nazi “German” army in the world was ours and led by a man of German ancestry in the European theater and who later was elected twice as a Republican to the same office Trump has shown nothing but contempt for.
I see a possible sweep in the making, and justifiably so.

  • Ted

West is just an unhinged rabble-rouser of the lowest order and a true nutcase of the highest order.

  • IronChefSandwiches

Sure. We “crackpots” have won five of the last six presidential elections (popular vote) and are a few weeks away from making it six out of seven. Maybe YOU idiots are the crackpots, Eh?

  • The Dutchman

You liberal crackpots are a loony bunch. Immature children who still want mommy and daddy, in the form of the Federal government, to wipe their noses and asses from cradle to grave. They are too juvenile to manage their own affairs, desperately want someone to hold their hand, and hate anyone who possessed the maturity they lack. They worship at the altar of AUTHORITY, and they hold a naive belief that individual rights are protected by an all powerful government whose raison d’etre is suppressing and abrogating those same rights. They are afraid of life, and hate people who remind them of their inadequacies. This is why so many chardonnay sipping Nancy Boys end up as Liberals. They want mommy.

  • The Dutchman

The Gold Star family (Singular) he spoke about are terrorist supporters. Get you head out of your ass and get the facts straight you liberal nitwit. You people support this lying bag of dung why? Because you also support her killing unborn babies? Or is it all her lies that she gets away with?

  • IronChefSandwiches

LOLOLOLOL Typical right wing idiot. You know NOTHING. Your bias and bigotry have made you a ridiculous buffoon. You’ve been played by a party that has been lying to you for five decades. Pathetic dolt.

  • The Dutchman

Still trying to peddle your bullshit sandwiches I see!

  • IronChefSandwiches

Let’s see…YOU are the one who thinks he KNOWS everything about liberals. You don’t. You don’t have a clue. Bullshit sandwiches? You eat nothing else.

  • Steven Barrett

Pretty pathetic response and says much more about you than you could possibly imagine. WIth apologies to Aristophanes, in so many words, political immaturity and ignorance can be overcome with a determined effort to become more informed about the issues of our times. But in no era has the scourge of stupidity ever been erased from people who welcomed it because it was the easier way to approach life. Laziness is deliberate. And intellectually laziness is the most foul kind of this scourge.

  • The Dutchman

Spoken like yet another far left wing radical crack pot. What have you done for this country other than flip your liberal lip?

  • Steven Barrett

Dutchman, thank you for your service to our country. This, nevertheless, does not give you the right to insult people who have different views and also did not serve in the military for one reason or another. But since you asked, I worked for three and a half years for the U.S. District Court Clerk’s Ofc. in Boston during the very contentious busing crisis years of the mid-Seventies. A few years later I interned at the National Journalism Center, then run by its founder columnist M. Stanton Evans. Shortly afterwards I was a conservative columnist in addition to being a reporter and news editor for a small three town weekly paper serving a very liberal college town in western Massachusetts, championing very unpopular stands against the nuclear freeze, nuclear free zones, etc.
I believe those ideas were wrong then and still wrong now, but having said that, I also do not believe we need to be as hawkish on all things military at the expense of everything else, particularly our poor, elderly, our disabled at all ages, and so forth. In essence, I do not believe the government is the beginning and end of all evil, any more than I believe the military stands for all things evil as do so many of our more prejudiced liberal academics tend to believe carrying with them bitches and gripes they’ve yet to leave behind from their days fighting over the VN war and other causes. That war shouldn’t have been fought and our young men never should’ve been treated like fodder by both the Pentagon and companies like Monsanto which I believe is responsible for the death of my brother last spring no thanks to exposure he had to Agent Orange during his time serving near DaNang. He died of other causes, but I’m sure Agent Orange that floated through his system for so many years could’ve only have contributed to his passing. Again, thank you for your service, but I have nothing left to say, nor should I in my own defense.

  • The Dutchman

Now I see where your coming from, Your Alinsky rules for radicals training shows up quit well. Just another leftwing radical media rat putting out his opinion instead of the real news. And from MA no less. I have had the misfortune of having been in that huge ghetto. It’s no wonder you think the way you do. I thank God every day that I live in the very rural Colorado high country far, far away from you Godless parasites.

  • The Dutchman

And you have a PHD in making sandwiches Eh? What a nitwit!

  • IronChefSandwiches

    God, you’re an idiot.

  • The Dutchman

Want to print something honest? Try this: Zulema Rodriguez is on tape saying she set up and accomplished the disturbance that caused the concealing of a Trump Chicago rally and also caused the disturbance on a Nevada Trump rally. Rodriguez said Hillary paid the DNC, the DNC paid a third party, and the third party paid her. The distance laundry process for hiding tracking don’t you know. Now a Wikileaks dump email shows Hillary paid Zulema Rodriguez two weeks prior to the Trump Chicago rally $1,610.34 for “payroll”, and $30 for an item listed as “phone”. Moveon.org PAC paid her $1,108.93 for travel in May and Stand Up For Ohio paid her $17,500 for consulting a month later in June. Both PAC’s are heavily funded by George Sorrows. No doubt this is evidence that Hillary and the DNC were involved in, paid for, and directed payment for the disturbance at the Trump Chicago rally that had to be canceled because of it. Trump hit the Hildabitch on the issue in last nights debate, and she did not deny it and did not even respond to it at all. Such action is a criminal violation. Trump at the debate said the disturbance was such that it was lucky no one was killed. If that had happened, we would now be hearing the Hildabitch snarling with her highest pitched voice: “What difference does it make now”.

  • The Dutchman

Go back to the kitchen and stay there! People like you don’t belong out in public with normal folks.

  • Steven Barrett

I’ve only glanced at Alinsky’s works, perhaps a preface if that much and found him incredibly boring.
I have no idea of what part of MA you were in. By and large, even though my Commonwealth is small in terms of geography, she is as rich in beauty as her residents who have much to be justifiably proud of, are both innately intelligent and bright enough to appreciate all the many gifts we have to enjoy in our midst from our excellent public, parochial and private schools to the many superb cultural institutions as well.
As a dependent, I lived in nearby Cheyenne when I was little, but I remember much about the area and enjoyed visiting the Rocky Mountain’s Front Range, not to mention Denver. You have much to be proud of in Colorado as well for different reasons.
Dutchman, you didn’t help your argument one iota by immediately, albeit in a teasing sort of way, by launching into a literary version of a barrage by a battleship’s 16″ rifles. After all, what warship literally saved our young Navy during the War of 1812 and where did she sail from and remains berthed and still in active duty. And ummm, how’d the Colorado Rockies do when them met the Red Sox in the World Series?
And no ghettor was ever so beautifully arrayed in so many different colors as our Berkshire Mountains this time of the year. Not as tall and magnificent as the Rocky Mountains, but they’re not “ghetto” hillocks, either.

  • The Dutchman

I was stationed at Quonset Point, RI in the late 60’s. Nice area. great sea food and fishing. Had visited Boston once and never went back, same goes for Providence, RI. Hunted in parts of MA in smaller areas and it wasn’t bad. I haven’t lost a thing East of the Big Muddy & have no plans to ever go there again.

  • Steven Barrett

I can see you didn’t have any yearnin’ to test the waters off the southern shores of Cape Cod. LOL, wonder why. Couldn’t blame you. Providence and Newport are hard to beat for the scenery unless you’re willing to test the far icier waters Downeast, but I can see why you want to stay west of the Big Muddy. Best wishes anyways!

  • M.

He’s an idiot? That’s rich coming from a cockroach like you. If we opened your skull, I’m sure we’d find a pat of goat manure instead of the expected brain.

  • IronChefSandwiches

I was a Navy Officer for 5 years. The Dutchman is pretty typical of the low-IQ enlisted idiots I had to deal with on a daily basis.

  • M.

I hope you had no access to anything classified. Someone committed a major foul-up in letting a filthy chimp like you do anything more than scrub decks.

  • Lil Angel

And if YOU were a Navy Officer, I was the Queen of England! I would say GFY, but it appears you already have . . .Loser.

  • Lil Angel

Is that all you have . . .name calling?? Your DNC is T-H-E most corrupt party to ever assemble on this earth, and all you can come up with is silly names?
Not a single one of you/yours can answer a direct question without diversion to an e-n-t-i-r-e-l-y unrelated subject; Your “leader” is shameless proof of that. As if that’s not enough; the need to destroy/delete all documentation runs strong with your sort . . .the truth hurts, doesn’t it?! You and yours are a waste of good air space!!!

  • delora

why don’t all of you responding on this website get a real life, or better yet beam yourselves back down to earth???

  • M.

Name-calling is indeed all he has. He is a zero with the rim rubbed out. His father the devil is also the father of lies, this is why he loves to lie so much. He is a disgusting honourless coward who play-acts as a tough guy. If he were in a real fight he would mess his pants in short order. I wonder what he will have been next week. This week he was a “Navy Officer” ha ha ha! Maybe next he will be an astronaut who was the first to land on Mars.

  • M.

Oh no, you can’t contradict him, don’t you know you’re talking to a former “Navy Officer”? Ha ha ha! I suppose tomorrow he will be an admiral. He will never admit to what he really is; an honourless tenth rate punk whose very soul is filled with malice and filth. All good men spit on him and his worthless kind.

  • M.

You tell ’em Admiral. While you’re at it tell us about how you are in command of the Space Fleet and how you were secretly sent as an envoy to the Martians brokering peace between the two worlds. Ha ha ha ha? You are a comical pile of excrement I give you that.

  • Medieval Puppyman

You, sir, are a disgrace to the military service! No respectable officer of any branch of the Armed Forces acts and speaks that way. Have you always thought that enlisted personnel are “idiots” and worthy of your contempt as you have publicly demonstrated in this forum? Even of those who worked hard, earned the respect of their peers, both commissioned and non-commissioned, coming up the ranks with distinguished honors? How many medals did you get from the back-breaking labor of the “low-IQ enlisted idiots” while you sat your contemptible little butt in an air conditioned office? An enlisted serviceman of ANY rank who did his/her 20 or 30 years of honorable service outweighs your measly 5 years of contemptible drivel. You disgust me!!

  • M.

Indeed, it is galling to see the worthless sack of fly-covered dung belittle those who better than he is in every conceivable way. I doubt he actually was what he claims, but if so it would be a delight to see him whipped through the fleet like they used to do in the 18th and 19th centuries.

  • Medieval Puppyman

I was in the Navy (2001-2006). Sadly, there are officers like this “gentleman” who really think themselves better than the enlisted personnel to whom they bark their orders. The attitude of these “gentlemen” is that “They’re here for me; I own them!” Believe me, these guys either get blackballed by the very enlisted people they’re in charge of, or they cross the path of another senior ranking officer or salty Chief Petty Officer who puts them in their place for good. The Chiefs are the backbone of the Navy. No naval junior officer survives for long or does well without having a solid Chief to rely on. Maybe it’s different now given all the talk about transgender service members and the enforcement of politically correct ideology; e.g., renaming any job title that has “man” (like Yeoman) or “mate” (like Boatswain Mate) in it. Truly sickening how the Obama Administration has gutted and effeminized our great Branches of the Armed Forces. It’ll only get worse if Crooked Hillary is elected: Mark my words!

  • Steven Barrett

Let’s leave the name calling for Fox’s team of lupines with mikes and reporters’ pads in hand. But as far as West is concerned, the conservatives have got to find newer heroes to follow. Between West and General Jerry Boykin, a walking talkin’ modern day crusader of the worst variety, the far right will soon enough find out what liabilities they’ll have on their hands. Boykin’s another Jack Singlaub and Douglass MacArthur. They never met a politically expedient “reason” (to suit their ideological leanings and designs) that they didn’t like and couldn’t milk to whip up support for their insubordination.

As far as I know, West did not make a political snit and scene while he was still on active duty and while he’s been alleged to have gone over the top in dealing with an Iraqi to get information out of the guy to save American soldiers’ lives.

Unfortunately, Boykin is able to round up his usual amount of extremely conservative Evangelical soldiers within and outside the active duty ranks to buy into his weaponized political rabble-Bible-beatin’ rousing “messages.” Hell, he was too much for George W. Bush’s administration. What does that say? West became a Congressman and let’s face it, he’s very articulate and comes across as a man with a solid grasp of the facts he wants the public to have. Problem is, the facts aren’t always facts, but little more than opinions backed by the sheer force of his own persona. And in fairness to West, he’s far from alone in this regard.

  • IronChefSandwiches

Whoa whoa whoa. The vast majority of the enlisted guys who worked for me were awesome. However, every Division Officer had to deal with 1 or 2 who never should have gotten past boot camp. I never said “all” enlisted guys but I see where you could read it that way. Not my intention. I’m still friends (26 years later) with several of the guys who worked with/for me. Some of them stayed in and got their 20 and I’d go to sea with them again in a heartbeat.

  • IronChefSandwiches

Yeah. I’m gonna lost lots of sleep because you don’t believe me. Not. GFY.

  • Medieval Puppyman

I’m glad that you realize how your statement can be read in an ambiguous light. With myself having served in the Navy (2001-2007), I can easily empathize with the annoyance you had with the 1 or 2 that probably made the lives of other Sailors difficult as well. Your explanation is accepted.

  • M.

Bri, da pomni, ha ha ha!

  • M.

That is, lie, but remember you zero.

  • M.

Welcome back Admiral zero. It’s good to see a good for nothing bit of fly-covered maggot-infested stinking carrion like you again.

  • missieb2000

Nice deflection. So that would be yes?

  • M.

Hey, stinking rot, why don’t you tell us another one. Here’s a fantasy I think you’ll quite like: the glorious Admiral zero walks down the aisle, the Admirals and officers of the P.L.A.N. watching respectfully as he stands before Xi Jinping himself. The Paramount Leader describes Admiral zero’s laudable act of delivering the hated Imperialists naval secrets to the P.R.C. thus assisting immeasurably in the attainment of the splendid Chinese victory in the Pacific, and advancing the World Revolution to the point that Dialectical Materialism will soon reign over the whole world. Admiral zero’s visage will now grace the red banners along with those of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Mao. Not even comrade Hillary was found worthy of this honour.

  • Steven Barrett

Even if your crew stepped on to your old vessel all leaning on canes, wearing triple thick bottle glasses, hearing aids the size matching the kind of safety muffs worn only by lawn care workers, I’d sign up to join you and them “in a heartbeat,” make it a Manhattan Taxi-Cab Driver’s Nano-Second Heartbeat, over any of the landlubbing carpers you’ve had to fend off. They know not the difference between port n’ starboard, fore n’ aft, no matter how much crap they’ve shown themselves expert in polluting the waters of civic discourse with all the bilge they never hesitate to pump out of their afts.
Let’s see if we can challenge them to take this civics challenge to prove themselves worthy of even being able to come aboard your vessel. The other night I got to hear a clip of a talk given by former Supreme Court Justice Souter and what he had to say about the cost of more and more people not keeping up their civic IQ: (http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/perils-of-eroded-civic-knowledge-forewarned-790540867791?cid=eml_mra_20161021 )
Then again, there’s always an “alternative view” that too many people if they haven’t bothered to push themselves above the level of the Ducksters or naked hunters in some boon dock forest. Hell, my next specimen is right out of the locker room, er, kicked out of ESPN’s broadcast room for displaying some rather curiously lame political and social reasoning “skills.” There’s always Curt Schilling, a wannabe contendah to knock Liz Warren back to Harvard and out of the Senate.

  • M.

If that sack of maggot-infested stinking rot was in the Navy, then I’m Julius Caesar and you’re Philip of Macedon.

  • Beth Fountain

    Love him!

  • Beth Fountain

Thank you for your service! !

  • IronChefSandwiches

You’re welcome. I had a blast during my time.
